About this property

Home away from home / Luxury in the Heart of Houston 8 mins to Med center/ NRG

We are centrally located with quick access to areas such as downtown, the medical center, and the museum district. Generally, you can expect to spend less than 15 minutes driving to the Houston Zoo, Hermann Park, Galleria, NRG Stadium, Toyota Center, and BBVA Compass Stadium.

This is a Duplex and the owners live on the upper level with a separate door entrance.
Larch house rental is on the ground level with three bedrooms fully furnished and with 2 bathrooms and with its own separate front entrance.

There are cameras on our property they are only exterior security cameras. They are for general property security.
These cameras cannot view any part of the interior of the guest duplex. Cameras are placed at the side of the house, viewing the front door only, and at the back, viewing the guest door only for the guest's added security.

If you should choose to dine out for lunch or dinner, we have an assortment of restaurants, cafes, bars, and pubs close by to fit any occasion We are happy to help with suggestions & directions.

ABOUT

The master suite has its own bathroom with the two other bedrooms sharing a bathroom. Both bathrooms include all the basic essentials. Enjoy extra comfort during your stay with our super soft and eco-friendly bamboo sheets, pillows, and a fluffy comforter included in every bedroom along with TV and cable access to over 200+ channels.

A complimentary breakfast on weekends can be provided courtesy of the hosts.
The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking desires.

For families traveling with small children, we can provide a portable crib and high chair if needed. Please let us know when booking.

ACCESS

Guests will have full access to the entire downstairs which is completely secluded from upstairs with separate entrances and the ability to park for free along the street outside the house.

SURROUNDING NEIGHBORHOOD

We're centrally located in the exclusive neighborhood, Bellaire. There is easy and fast access to 610, Hwy 59, and all major freeways, areas, and attractions in Houston. Bellaire is very quiet, low-traffic, and family-friendly. Enjoy the walking/biking path with tree-lined streets, beautiful homes, and access to parks /pools and The Nature Center. Although we live in the 3rd largest city in America, Bellaire is a small city inside the central loop of Houston with its own police, fire, and municipal services that pride themselves on their quality of service and prompt response time.

GETTING AROUND

If you are planning to drive, you can expect to spend less than 15 minutes reaching most major attractions and other areas of Houston. At peak traffic times please ask us for the less traveled and fastest route to your destination. If you will be needing to take public transportation, there is a bus stop conveniently located less than a block away. Guests also frequently use Uber.

This was one of the cutest properties we’ve stayed in. The owner met us at check in, gave us a little tour, had treats waiting on the counter and in the fridge! Just lovely. And very clean! Such a warm and comfortable space. Oh, and the decor….. so beautiful and well-done. We would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing host and a stellar property. Patsy was awesome. Her delightful home was beautiful, clean, and filled with every amenity. We arrived to find a delicious charcuterie tray, a bottle of wine, plus breakfast items we might need — milk, creamer, butter, yogurt, artiisan bread — since the next day was a holiday. I can’t say how much we appreciated her gracious hospitality. Will definitely book again next time we are in Houston. Perfect VRBO in perfect area.

Our stay was amazing! The host greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour/information for our stay.The home was fully stocked for our visit, very clean, comfortable, and accommodating.We were treated to a Cheese/Fruit Tray along with a wonderful bottle of wine. Patsy is a wonderful and considerate host. She created a warm and welcoming environment. Upon arrival, we found soft music playing, a bottle of wine, a beautifully arranged tray with a variety of cheese, crackers, bread, nuts and grapes. Beds were comfortable and the linens were soft. We were welcomed with unexpected cheese and fruit. Also pastries and fruit the next morning. 4 year old granddaughter enjoyed playing with the games that were available. The microwave died unexpectedly, and they provided a new one within 10 minutes, which was unbelievable.

Perfect weekend!

My husband and I stayed at Larch House last weekend for a wedding and it was absolutely perfect! We really appreciated the cracker, cheese and fruit tray upon our arrival, and the well-stocked fridge with essentials like yogurt, milk, OJ, butter, chocolates. The next morning the owner delivered delicious pastries and fresh strawberries. Very quiet and safe location, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, good internet. We look forward to staying here again the next time we're in Houston!

Houston Medical Center and Galleria Area Stay

We have to visit the Medical Center and Galleria area at least twice a year. You cannot get better and more convenient accommodation than this location. Highly recommend. The owners live above and are always very helpful.

Perfect for our stay

I traveled with my family of 4, including 2 teens. The 3 bedroom layout was perfect for us. The master bed was at the front of the house, while the other two bedrooms were in the back. My teenagers appreciated this. Patsy was beyond welcoming and fabulous with communication. We were welcomed with flowers and fresh baked goodies awaiting our arrival, which was so incredibly appreciated. Even more incredible was the breakfast tray so graciously delivered the next morning. We've stayed in 20+ VRBOs and never have we found them as well stocked as this one. The owners really go above and beyond.

Great location, clean, and comfortable

We had a great stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. It is close to lots of parks (Evelyn’s Park is a half mile away and totally amazing!), restaurants, and grocery stores. It was an easy commute to the Zoo, Hermann Park, and the medical center. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Great location to stay in Houston

This is a spacious, three bedroom home with all the amenities right in the heart of Houston. The owners live above the property and incredibly responsive and helpful. This is the only place we consider staying when needing to come to Houston, particularly for visits to the Texas Medical Center.

We were very well served by Patsy and Felix and their home over nearly two weeks of pre-surgery prep and post-op recuperation. The house is exactly as depicted in the pictures and one of the best provisioned properties we have visited. The home and neighborhood are quiet, safe, and clean and near many services and restaurants. Would absolutely return again.

Previous reviews were accurate. The property is centrally located to downtown, the Galleria, museums and the many hospitals. It would make for a comfortable long term stay. The street is quiet despite being near to busier east/west, north/south streets and loop highways. The beds are comfortable and the towels/linens are like thise you would want in your own home. We visited during a major 100 degree plus heat wave and the accommodations remained cool. Our interactions with the host Patsy were pleasant and she answered all our questions quickly. You may hear some sound of a small dog scampering about overhead but we were not disturbed by it and it was never at night. Finally the hostt graciously welcomed us with fresh flowers, a handwritten card and a scrumptious blackberry tart. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This has created an awareness and appreciation for many cultures. I own an Event Management company here in Houston and I am a certified NVQ service trainer.
(National Vocational Qualifications is the food service training standard of England) I have trained service staff for hotels, country clubs, and restaurants in the art of good service.

We love older homes and chose Larch House for its charm, location, and inviting floorplan. We remodeled and furnished the entire home. From the luxurious bamboo bed linens to the features of the gourmet kitchen, everything is designed to help you enjoy your stay.

What makes this property unique

We love entertaining guests. Patsy was raised in England. She grew up in the hotel and restaurant industry. It instilled in her the instinct to treat our guests as if they were staying in the finest hotel. The owners, Patsy and Felix, live on the property in the upstairs Duplex which is a completely separate from the downstairs unit is separated by an outside Door / Staircase & walls dividing the two properties ..
We respect the privacy of our guests at all times. However, should you need our assistance you can be assured of prompt response time.
