Great large family accommodation right on beautiful Salamander Bay.

Excellent location on the water, kids could kayak and swim while we either joined them or watched over them from the comfort of the decks. So nice to not have to leave the property, and have the family with lots to do right in our own front yard.

Fantastic location

We had a family reunion for my wife’s 70th birthday and this was a perfect property and location for such an occasion. Would highly recommend this property for those looking for a house suitable for a large group in Port Stephens.

Perfect waterfront holiday

Great place to relax while the kids play in the sand. We saw some dolphins. Was close to good pubs and cafes. Comfortable beds and plenty of hang out spaces for everyone

Martin promptly answered our questions before we arrived. The collection of the keys and entry to the house was easy.It was a perfect situation for our family gathering....lovely to sit outside and look across the bay. We were happy to stay at the home and enjoy the water.The kitchen/dining/lounge facilities were excellent for a large group.

Fantastic location

Perfect location for the grandkids. They loved playing on the beach and swimming, and when not doing that, there was a great grassed area for other games. Short walk to the little shopping village that has everything you need. Communciation with the owner was fantastic.

Great location

Beautiful beachside location, lovely views. The house is very comfortable and functional with two living areas making it easy to spread out and enjoy ourselves. The only problems were outside sprinklers operating too early in the evening which meant we could not enjoy the warm summer nights outside and some very weak Wi Fi.

Great position

A lovely home with a number of areas to have some time to yourself and great areas big enough for all the family to celebrate together and for the kids to play games and the Xbox - thank you to the property manager for delivering one when they realised the original one was missing. Wonderful view from the back yard and the master suite. Will be back again

Great location

The house is at a great location and spacious. We would had a better experience if when check in the linens in the bed smell like it has not been changed for a while. And had to spray ant for the first three days. May need some well clean of linen in the bed room and pet control. Other than that we had a great time.

Thank you for your review and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. In relation to the 2 issues you mention. Firstly, our house is managed by Mcgraths Real Estate, and they arrange a complete clean and linen change between each guests stay, so it seems very odd that the linen did not seem clean (it is rented from a professional company for each stay). It would have been helpful if you had mentioned it at the time so they could have solved any issues, rather than leave it to a review. It is unfortunate that you had some ants in the house. This is a hazard of beach properties, but is not something we have often. Again, the house is cleaned between every guest and the cleaners would normally note any insect issues… so this must have been a very recent thing. We will of course spray etc.

Great family weekend away

Everyone was amazed about how lovely the location was and beautiful the house is. We were disappointed to not find the hot tub that was listed under popular amenities and pool/spa in the original listing. We also found it highly annoying to only have 1 tea towel supplied and 3 out of the 4 bathrooms were supplied with hand towels but no hand soap. Highly annoying when you have 5 children and no hand soap. I would like to make a suggestion about the 3 double beds. My brother and brother in law are over 6 ft tall. They could not sleep in the double beds and slept on the floor or lounge. Queen beds in each room would be greatly welcomed and appreciated. Overall a great experience.

A great place for a family vacay, esp. for the disabled

We stayed at Martin's place during the worst rainfall's in FIFTY years. It was our first family vacation together and even though it rained ALL weekend, we enjoyed it. It was nice to have the separate lounges that gave us all a little space on our own, yet a place for all of us to get together and have meals and play games. The lift and the design of the house was PERFECT for my uncle whom is a little weak. It allowed him the enjoy the space with us.. enjoying the balcony in the main to watch the kids on the beach, or the TV in the main room or catching the lift down to have meal together. Martin and Winning Holidays were great! Both answered my questions quickly and acted promptly. Thanks! We will definitely visit during the summer next time.. when a FIFTY year rainfall is not predicted :P hahaha

Absolutely stunning location

Extremely happy with the property. The only thing I would say is the fireplace was not in use during our stay which was a little disappointing, but this did not spoil our stay overall. Location is absolutely stunning!

Excellent accommodation for family holiday. The place is clean and tidy, with internal lift for moving luggage to upstairs bedrooms. Overall we had a great time, would definitely stay there again.

Good location

Whilst the property was a great family spacious home and the location excellent the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. To find a half drunk bottle of water on a bedside table and easter egg wrappers in several bedrooms it made us wonder how much cleaning had been done. Under the nespresso machine was filthy. There are several maintenance issues one being light fitting hanging from the ceiling. and a crack in the en-suite shower is bound to cause ongoing issues. We would rather have paid an extra $100 dollars for cleanliness/ more than 1 tea towel and 1 small pkt dishwasher powder for 8 people for a 4 night stay Jan - stayed Easter 2022
