Great hidden Gem

Cosy, charming cottage in perfect location for dogs

The house was comfortable and had a great personality. The superb Ventnor dog beach is just around the corner and our family had a wonderful time here.

Comfortable & Relaxing Stay

Our long weekend stay was made perfect in this comfortable house. We had everything we needed with close proximity to the beach and a short drive to great dining in Cowes. We highly recommend a trip to the nearby Penguin Parade. Sue and Les provided clear information and made us feel welcome in their home.

Fabulous holiday cottage in Ventnor.

Our stay at Ventnor was a fabulous time away. The cottage was lovely: very clean and well 'kitted out'. It was well situated, private and pet friendly. Located in a quiet area, it was the ideal place for our time away. There were lots of lovely walks close by and the beach was only a few minutes walk from the house. A perfect place to holiday as a family with our dogs.

Great space

We loved staying at the cottage. Perfect place to unwind and relax while enjoying Phillip Island. Well equipped with everything you need, perfect for dogs with a beautiful shaded garden. We loved all the birds we could hear and see amongst the trees. Definitely visit again

Anchorage Cottage @ Ventnor

Anchorage Cottage @ Ventnor is an amazing little place. My family and I loved our long weekend holiday. This cottage is neatly presented and is warm and cozy. Located in a quiet street with beach access at the end of the road. We loved our stay! Les and Sue are amazing host and terrific to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Moto GP weekend

The house was very comfortable ,close to all the facilities and as listed. I would advise a photograph of the listed 3rd Bedroom with bunk beds as it is more suited for kids and a small space. Overall we had a great Stay. Thankyou

Great location

The house was in a great location and very good amenities in the kitchen for our week long stay but the window sills and behind the beds were quite dusty and lots of dead insects unfortunately. Also the BBQ and the surrounding area was pretty dirty so we were unable to use it, sadly. A really good clean before guests arrive would help improve the experience.

Dog Friendly Cottage

Great enclosed back yard for our Guide Dog in Training. Cosy split level cottage with reverse cycle air conditioning, heaters and wood fire. Few repairs needed. Laundry door hard to close. Side gate to back yard sticks and drags.

Relaxing weekend - Home away from home

Thank you Sue and Jes for making our stay so memorable. What a perfect getaway with our toddler and fur baby. We had an amazing time at your little cottage. We didn’t have a perfect weather for all other planned trips, however have no regrets as we were able to spend time as a family together at this beautiful place. Had perfect mornings enjoying hoy cuppa at the deck while hearing the rain sounds and birds chirping. Enjoyed the smell of burning firewood and the just chilling at the couch while the toddler enjoying the space with our little furry man.. thank you once again for allowing the late checkout on the last day and your warm welcome. Looking forward to returning sometime soon again this summer.

Lovely cabin like lounge room for a lovely family stay

Highlighting there's steps between lounge room to dining/kitchen area, then more steps to bedrooms, so may not be convenient for older family members or anyone who may need aid with climbing (Noting this is mentioned in their listing though, just not obvious from pictures). Close to penguin parade and the nobbies. Everything is provided really, I even forgot to buy oil and salt for cooking but found them provided in the pantry anyway! 2 main rooms - 1 with queen bed and single, another with queen bed. Also has a tiny room with bunk bed for kids. Separate bath and toilet. The outside wasn't really maintained so not as inviting to sit out as portrayed in the pictures. General store just a few hundred metres away where you can get essentials and groceries, which was very handy! If not, Cowes is only 5 min drive away to the larger stores like Woolworths/coles. Overall an enjoyable family stay and perfect base to discover the island.

Cosy cottage in Ventnor

The cottage was just as described … a welcoming space for the two of us and our little dog. Had everything that we needed, was comfortable, warm and very clean. We all had a wonderful few days despite the weather.
