Love love loved this property! 3 Beautiful, spacious home with scenic views! The host was super nice and easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The beach really is a short walk away and is also 5 minutes from a brewery and several restaurants in the area. Would definitely like to stay here again in the future. :)
The property was lovely. The listing was accurate. There was lots of light and space, with beautiful views of Lake Michigan. The owners were quick to answer all of my questions during our stay. We would love to return.

Thank you, Sarah! We would love to have you again!
The house was very clean. Everything looked exactly as we expected. Nice short walk to the beach. We were very comfortable. Enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the deck with a view of the water.
The only glitch, if you can even call it that, was that we had a hard time logging into the TV so we could watch a movie off our own account rather than using the host account.
Home was perched at the top of a cute beach neighborhood. Views of the lake from dining area and upper balcony. Home decor is eclectic and bright, home is comfortable and spacious.
We traveled with kids and they loved the trail to the beach and proximity to the dunes. There is not a lot for children to do immediately around the home (wooded area and truly does sit at the top of a dune). Host was very responsive and home was as advertised.
First the good: Large windows give very open, sunny atmosphere; Long dining table comfortably seats whole family; Screened porch is great and nice table allows outdoor dining and visiting; Secluded area is quiet, no bachelorette parties to disturb the peace.
The bad parts are relatively minor but overall the place feels old and worn. There is grime on the vents and the grout in bathrooms and especially the grout on the tiles in the kitchen counter. Walls are scuffed and baseboards dirty. A dirty throw rug in the bathroom and the kitchen were covered with hair. The wicker settee on the screen porch is old with peeling paint and mildewy cushion. Metal rails around the deck are rusted. To be fair, the important areas were clean -- the bed linens and refrigerator were clean. Bathrooms are not updated, but they are functional. There were no bath towels upstairs and the ones downstairs were so thin and worn, some had bleach stains. I don't expect beach towels, but for the price we paid, it felt insulting to not get a decent bath towel. I have rags at home that are better than what was there. As for the beds, note carefully that the master is a loft so if people downstairs are watching tv or talking, the person up in the loft may not sleep. The double bed is really small for 2 people. The couple in that room are small people but were so cramped she slept on a couch after the first night. Overall there are some great points to the place (nice dining area, great screen porch, quiet location, very sunny space) but for the price, I expected it would be cleaner, more updated.

I don't wish to be rude but this guest did not know how to use the internet website or the VRBO app. This guest began requesting the lockbox code 3 weeks before check in and wouldn't stop until VRBO got involved. The bed is a double. It's listed a double and there is a picture. Many couples have stayed in the room with us and on VRBO. The listing clearly says the master bedroom is a loft. It can't be more clear. The welcome guide clearly says the towels are in the bathroom in the closet on the ground floor. This includes beach towels. Guest also couldn't find the beach, which is also in the guide. Guest also couldn't connect to the internet which is in the guide. In regard to the wicker furniture it is indeed old but this is our home. The furniture has sentimental value so it will stay. We will ask our cleaning service to pay closer attention to the baseboards and vents in the future.
Overall nice stay and there is plenty to look at with the variety of art around the home. Owners were very responsive and helpful. Parking was difficult.
Access to the beach is #1 for a stay by Lake Michigan. This property has it in spades. Not only is the beach easily accessible but, from the dune it’s located , it’s always in view.
And when you return to the house after activities, you lack for nothing.. Attention has been paid to create easy living for people who just need to take a break.
We loved being so close to the beach. The house was nice, and the host was very quick to respond to questions that we had. The only thing that I didn’t realize until we got there was that the room with the largest bed is a loft upstairs with no doors. We would have preferred having a separate room with a door in our situation. Not a complaint, just a heads up to anyone else. Also, this doesn’t seem to be a quiet area during the weekend, which we didn’t mind because we were a group of adults. Something to consider if you have children. We had a blast taking the lily pad float to the water.

Hi Christina. It is in the property description that the master bedroom is a second floor loft. I'm unsure how to make that more clear.
This is a beautiful home with lots of space, a great view of the beach, and near fun restaurants and bars. Easy to drive over to Michigan City, New Buffalo, or walk down to the beach.
Owners were communicative and we had a great time hanging out at the house for a weekend. House itself is well stocked with some fun board games and a great kitchen as well.
