Beachside Paradise

We had the most amazing time staying at the property over the holidays. The condo is perfection and made us feel right at home with everything you could possibly need. Restaurants and entertainment are all close by, including walks up the beach to various beach bars for casual meals. We will definitely be back soon!

WOW ! This property is amazing !!! Located at the center of Simpson Bay perfect for watching cruise ships and mega yachts. The Chef's style kitchen great for cooking in. We loved the balcony and watched sunsets from here. There is everything you could want inside this unit. The pool is very private and steps to the sandy beach. T he elevator makes it easy to access the condo. we'll be back next year. Jeri thanks for sharing your home.

Wonderful Property on SImpson Bay

Thank you for opening up your fabulous home to guests, it was truly a wonderful experience! We've stayed at other properties on Simpson Bay, but Sand Castle is truly one of a kind to us. The unit is beautifully appointed, more comfortable than home and very welcoming. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening sunsets from the balcony and will treasure the memories. Gordon is a wealth of local knowledge and always provides so much information. We look forward to our next visit in your lovely home!

My husband and I took my mom on her very first trip and we had an amazing time. This condo has everything you can possibly need! Pecan front view, beautiful beach, pool, comfortable sectional couch, great TV with lots of channels. Comfy beds, and your guests have their own ensuite. Stunning views with a very spacious patio to relax and unwind. It was just spectacular! Very friendly neighborhood and very safe. Restaurants were close by in walking distance. Do read the book on the desk lots of great information and detail on where to eat and what to see!

Amazing Condo

We stayed here with two couples and the condo was perfect for us. The unit is exactly as pictured, clean, and in great condition. It provided everything we could need: towels, beach chairs, cooler, fully stocked kitchen and paper products. The pool area is clean and beautiful, with easy access to a long sandy beach. Communication with the owner was always prompt; the property manager and cleaning team all delivered as communicated. We had a car so we could explore the whole island, but you could stay here without a car and use a cab as needed. There are so many markets and restaurants within walking distance. We would recommend this unit to friends and would stay again.

Amazing Saint Martin stay

My family and I spent a week at this beautiful condo. It was a perfect location, the condo had every amenity and appliance one would ever need. The ocean is beautiful from the back patio, I enjoyed coffee and my online conference overlooking the sea. The condo, pool and grounds were immaculately maintained. It was so nice to be able to walk downstairs and be on a pristine beach with fantastic snorkeling. We had a housekeeper in mid week who cleaned and changed all sheets and towels. Even though I felt very safe here, it was comforting to know that there was a security guard present nightly. Really no major complaints, minor issues that can happen in any home, one of the air conditioning units was leaking and the elevator required maintenance. We contacted property manager Gordon, who was very quick and attentive to our needs. Both issues were fixed in a matter of hours. We absolutely loved the condo and the experiences on this amazing island. I would highly recommend staying at Sandcastle!

Stunning Views!

We have the absolute best trip in this condo was perfection! Stunning views of the ocean and perfect location on the island. We missed our first night because of a major fight issue and the owners were incredibly generous and let us stay an extra night. Seriously can’t say enough about this beautiful condo and St. Martin in general. Gordon, the property manager, was a huge help, and the owners were very quick to respond to any questions we had. I had a great massage at the condo (recommended by Gordon) and all of the restaurant recommendations from the owners were spot on. You won’t regret booking this property! Comment on prior reviews I saw – we had hot water in our shower the entire time and no power outages at all during our stay. I was also told this condo complex has a new generator so that should not be an issue in the future either.

Beautiful!

We loved it here. Exactly as described, the view is breathtaking and felt extremely safe. A couple things to consider: this unit does not have a generator and St Maarten is infamous for daily power outages. We learned to navigate around it but if you’re looking for consistent power, you’ll need to find a place with a generator. Fortunately, most times happen while you’re out. Just an expectation to note. Second, there is no hot water in your shower. It is hard to deal with, however, we loved so many other things, we tried to ignore it as best as possible. It is an island and we love tropical feel but the water temp was just not favorable, especially with a kiddo. Would totally recommend this place even with the hiccups. It’s beautiful, Gordon was very communicative, and it was such a great location. Jeri really did a great job with the place! We have a lot of friends and know the island very well - Simpson Bay is a hotspot for restaurants and entertainment. You won’t be disappointed.

The Best

I dont have enough time to talk about how nice this property was. Jerri,s home was the best property we have ever stayed in and we always stay in privately owned units. This owner knows how to welcome her guest, stocked bar, stocked wine bar, you only need to bring your toothbrusch and a pair of underwear and you can wash those in the washer with the detergient that she has provided for you. Location was a couple of minutes from the main street in Simpson Bay. Mcdonalds and Subway a 3 minute walk. Places to eat and the prices were very reasonable. Corner markets for food to cook, a casino across the street from the unit. Great beach views of the blue waters, cruise ships passing by going to Phillipsburgh, Check out Marys Boons, a great place to eat and drink on the beach with free chairs and unbrellas is about a 5 minute walk down the beach from the unit. Great pool that is not crowed and very peacful. Love hearing the waves at night while watching tv and waking up to that pretty blue sea and rainbows. Jerri,s home is 1st class and we will be back. Fantastic

This was our third stay at LaSiesta but our first stay at The Sandcastle Condo. It was a perfect experience and is by far our new favorite condo. Everything was in order and at our disposal. Well stocked kitchen with everything you could need to prepare a fantastic meal. We cooked in a few nights and really enjoyed it! Jeri and Neil are excellent hosts, every detail was covered to make our stay not only enjoyable but perfect. We cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful week and look forward to our return!

Amazing Place!

This place was amazing! Beautiful ocean view & right on the beach. The photos are accurate, but still don't do it justice, it's even better in person! We spent so much time in those lounge chairs on the balcony! The Villa -- it was SO clean! The cleaning staff does an excellent job! The owners really go above and beyond for their guests. The kitchen is fully stocked, lots of water/beach items available for your use, charging station for all your electronics, a safe for personal items, etc. Too many "extras" to try to list, but I'll just say, they really try to think of things their guests might forget at home or don't realize they need until they get there. The Owners -- great to deal with. Responds very quickly & even emailed us during the week to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Very easy to reserve, check in & out. The Area -- Simpson Bay seems to be a good mix of locals and tourists. The beach side is gorgeous. When you first drive up to the villa, the neighborhood looks a little run-down, but any concerns quickly subsided. The neighbors are very friendly (all the people of Simpson Bay were very friendly, actually). They even have a security guard in the parking lot from evening until morning. We never felt unsafe. I would definitely recommend renting a car, especially if you want to try some different restaurants for dinner and/or explore the island. Thank you, Jeri, for sharing your beautiful home! Best vacation!

Our family has visited St. Martin 4 times on cruises. We have always said we wanted to stay for a week. We finally made that happen and are so glad that we did. After a lot of research we decided on Jeri Norman's Sandcastle on Simpson Bay. Everything was perfect! The description of the villa in VRBO is spot on. Everything we could have wanted or needed was in the condo. The kitchen was stocked with spices and every kitchen appliance you can imagine. All we had to get was the food. The terrace is the very best part. We opened all the glass doors so we could get a cross breeze. Ahh so relaxing! We walked everywhere. My husband and I count our steps everyday and began each morning with a walk down the beach for exercise. The beach is gorgeous and very private since there are no high rises. We loved that! The kids loved the clear and calm waters. We walked to jet ski rental and restaurants. We did rent a car and only used it a few times to go to get groceries, zip line, and drive around the island. A car is not necessary. Jeri was divine to work with. She replied back to me quickly and had so many suggestions on things to do. We felt like they welcomed us into their home. The villa does not feel like a rented condo. It feels like a home away from home! Gordon the property manager was fantastic and so helpful. All the workers for the property were so friendly. Always asking if we needed anything. Such a wonderful vacation. We can't wait visit again!

Spacious Condo With a Beautiful View

We had a great stay at Jeri's VRBO in Sint Maarten. It is a very spacious condo right on the Simpson Bay beach. You literally can look out from the balcony and the ocean is right below. The bay is full of moored sailboats and some of the most amazing yachts that we have ever seen. Sunsets are amazing just sitting on the deck. The condo is very clean and spacious with everything we needed for our vacation stay. We didn't cook anything, but there was a full kitchen and grill to use if you were staying in for your meals. It was our first time in Sint Maarten, so we wanted to try all of the different restaurants, which were all very good. The location is great, but be aware that it is located right in the main Simpson Bay neighborhood, which is not an affluent area and is still recovering from the hurricane. The neighbors were friendly and most roads were well lit, so it was not an issue for us in walking into town, but just don't expect a pristine surrounding area. Renting a car was great way to explore the island and the parking spot is right outside the building. The building was very safe and access was very easy to the condo and to the pool and beach. Overall, we really liked the location, the condo was very clean and nice with one of the best views in all our travels. Thanks for the great hospitality and making our Sint Maarten vacation a wonderful experience. Both Jeri and Gordon (local property manager) were great to work with and we will definitely be back.

.We've always loved St. Maarten and have been sailing the Caribbean for the last 25 years and always made our favorite and longest anchoring stop St. Maarten. We made the decision to sell our Catamaran and couldn't give up our connection to the Caribbean, thus.....we purchased this condo on our favorite beach and island to make our transition from boating to land easier. We spend the summers at our home in Central Mexico located in the mountains.

Why they chose this property

After spending more than twenty five years sailing the Caribbean Islands and anchoring in bays and beaches too numerous to mention, Simpson Bay Beach is unequivocally our first choice. The proximity to bars, diverse style restaurants, diving, water sports, shops, services and the largest Lagoon in the Caribbean are unparalleled without having the overbearing activity of the cruise ships which are centered in Philipsburg.

What makes this property unique

St.Maarten is one of the few islands in the world that is shared by two separate countries (Netherlands & France) with unique cultures and cuisine. The currency on the Dutch side is the US dollar and the currency on the French side is the Euro. In many restaurants and shops they are interchangeable. Princess Julianna Airport is one of the busiest airports in the Caribbean being serviced by many international airlines and is easily accessible from many major US cities. We find the Customs and Immigration at the airport is efficient and relaxed.
