Dantosa Blue Mountains Retreat provides you with a secluded 9-acre estate with numerous walking paths, private gardens, a private lake, floating lake house, tennis court, BBQ facilities, gazebo and even its own croquet lawn. Dantosa is a 5-minute drive from the famous Three Sisters and the Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park. Originally a goat farm, the property has a 30-year-old established Blue Mountains garden and accommodation in two buildings - Dantosa House and nearby Dantosa Cottage. There is accommodation for 16 guests in shared bedrooms.

At Dantosa you will enjoy total privacy. As one guest puts it, “You live in a beautiful oasis, and yet you are only minutes away from restaurants, shops and the national park.” Enjoy a game of tennis, kayaking on the lake, a game of boules or a stroll in the beautiful gardens. Dantosa is very popular for family reunions, birthdays and events. Its privacy and exclusivity makes it a perfect setting for guests and their visitors to celebrate a special occasion, or for corporates to stage small events for staff and clients in a unique setting. DANTOSA HOUSE

Dantosa House sleeps up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Extra beds can be added for larger groups.

Dantosa House includes:

- a large gourmet kitchen fully stocked with appliances, kitchenware and even spices, oils and other condiments
- the kitchen includes a large ILVE stove and dual ovens, dishwasher, microwave, expresso machines, etc.

- magnificent lake views from the living room, kitchen and main bedroom

DANTOSA COTTAGE

Dantosa Cottage is located 40 metres from Dantosa House. The Cottage is the estate's original homestead built circa 130 years ago. It is fully renovated, sleeping up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms.

The Cottage includes:
- 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (showers in each)
- a galley kitchen with microwave, stove and oven, full fridge and espresso machines. It's fully stocked with appliances, kitchenware and even spices, oils and other condiments
- a combined living / dining room with large TV screen and expandable dining table
- King bedroom with access to garden
- Queen bedroom with views of lake
- Bedroom with 2 single beds and luxury bunk beds for 2 (bunks beds can be folded into the wall if required)
- laundry with washer and dryer (in bathroom #2)

- magnificent lake views from the living room, kitchen and queen bedroom

All linen, towels, firewood, bathroom amenities, and complimentary tea and coffee (for the expresso machines) are included. A tariff is added for cleaning.

Standard check in is 3pm, and check out is 10am. Subject to availability, we do offer the option of an extended check out (until 7pm). Please ask if you would like an extended check out.

EVENT COST GUIDELINES

If you are planning a wedding, Dantosa is perfectly suited for intimate events (<70 guests) and and wedding stays.

Indicative rates for hiring Dantosa as your wedding stay venue, including accommodation for up to 16 guests, are in the range of $10,000-$25,000, depending on total overnight and day guest numbers.

An event generally includes the venue hire for specified number of overnight and day guests, usage of the venue by external caterers and logistics and facilities management. Our packages and detailed information brochure provided more details about inclusions, recommended suppliers and prospective costs.

To ensure we respect our neighbours, we require guests to provide guest lists and an event plan. Please note that Dantosa is not a "party house". Respect for our neighbours is paramount so we ask that noise be kept to a respectable minimum. Events or large gatherings are strictly not allowed without management's prior approval of plans and visitor numbers. Dantosa's ts&cs provide you the conditions required for any Dantosa booking.

OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT STAYING AT DANTOSA

A security bond of $1,500 is required. The bond amount is charged by a pre-authorization of your credit card. This means no funds are collected directly from your card unless in the case of damage. The security bond is higher for events and larger gatherings. Please enquire for details.

Dantosa's has a no-refund cancellation policy. Subject to specific circumstances, booking dates may be altered and the booking rate credited to a new reservation date.

Dantosa is located on the fringes of the Blue Mountains National Park. The property is about 5mins drive to the town of Katoomba and its local shops. It's a 10mins drive to neighbouring Leura. Walking to Katoomba will take you about 30-40mins.

Dantosa has its own lake for you to enjoy. It is unfenced (ie a natural lake). Please be advised responsibility for safety is yours and your guests' entirely. Make sure children and non-swimmers are supervised at all times. Dantosa, its owners and managers, are not responsible for guest safety.

Dantosa is non-smoking although you can smoke outside. All butts must go in the garbage, not the garden. And owing to fire danger, candles are not allowed.

Pets are not permitted on the property without prior permission.
