Our stay at the old shack was perfect and we were not ready to leave. The birdsong and leafy surrounds along with complete privacy encourage unwinding and relaxation. Coziness and comfort are two words that also come to mind - you feel at home while being away from home - we would love to visit again one day.

If I could rate the ‘old shack’ higher than 5 stars I would! Judith & Mark have created a very welcoming and beautiful home away from home escape. Cleanliness - wow, impressive! Hot tub fired up well. This was our first staycation and loved every minute of relaxation, a boat ride and game of badminton. Thank you both so very much . Hope to see you both again in the near future

We had the most relaxing and enjoyable stay here. The cottage was incredibly clean and so well looked after. The pool was excellent and so easy to heat up. Judith was so lovely. The photos really do not do this place justice, it was immaculate and we will definitely be back!!

Great place to stay. Has everything you need.The pictures do not show the real beauty of the place. It has rustic aspects and at the same time great attention to detail, and in very good condition. Loved the use of all the fire places for cooking and comfort.

This property is an absolute gem only an hour or so from Sydney but it is a little slice of paradise. The hosts have crafted a beautifully constructed home and outdoor entertaining space where every little detail has been carefully planned for to make your stay perfect. You have everything you could possibly ever need in the kitchen and home, for the BBQ, pizza oven, spa, bushwalks and a paddle on the river. The trees and bird life are spectacular on the property and along the river, and even binoculars are provided. The spa is divine especially when the stars come out, then curl up in front of the roaring fire. The linen is top quality, as are all the fittings. We loved our stay !!

Second visit, just as good as the first!

This is our favourite stayz, very well equipped, beautiful surroundings, super clean and tidy and very private.We had fun playing badminton and made our own pizzas this time. The pool/spa is great and there's so much to do here.Can't wait to visit again!

Wow!!! We had such a wonderful stay at the Old Shack. We can’t thank Mark and Judith enough for their hospitality. The Old Shack is just a gem. We loved listening to all of the animals in the morning and especially loved the Kangaroos that visited us. My husband enjoyed making the fire in the hot tub and we were blessed to take a long canoe ride down the river. Thank you so much, best part of Australia! If you're ever in this area, STAY HERE!! You won't regret it.

Great get away spot, very secluded. Makes you feel like you’re truly living in a rainforest

Such a beautiful experience, it was so amazing being able to wake up in the morning making myself and my husband a coffee and going outside to watch the sunrise and listen to all the beautiful birds and other woodland creatures waking up and singing their beautiful songs. Definitely will be visiting again!

Superb escape
