About the host
Hosted by Kimberley Phelan

We live in metro-West Boston. We met at Georgetown University and have been married 30+ years. Kim is a history teacher and Andy an attorney. We have 3 kids who have grown up visiting Vermont and who are now all young adults. We are actively involved in our Vermont community. We have been in the Boston area for 25+ years and in Fayston for 20+ years now. We hope to retire to Acorn Ridge in Vermont.
Why they chose this property
We have close friends that moved to the area and introduced the Mad River Valley to us. We love the fact that it is a great 4 season area with lots to do year round. We have been contemplating moving full time to the Valley and fell in love with the house and the property. We have spent the summer making it our own. The house feels warm and cozy when just two people are there but can easily fit family and friends.
What makes this property unique
Sitting on the deck and watching local wildlife while eating breakfast has been a joy--we saw a bear cub meandering across the street, see countless birds, and watch deer picking their way across the yard. Relax by the fireplace with a book and a glass of wine or VT craft beer. Watch the snow fall or birds visit the feeders. In warm weather, relax on the deck or yard. Watch the staggering night display of stars in the Vermont sky. Relax around the fire pit with family and/or friends.
