This home is very large and comfortable. It has everything you need and more. If you are not used to traffic noise it may take a little getting used to. Loved our stay here. The owners made everything very easy and were very accommodating. Excellent experience!
Absolutely a beautiful house, amazing period furniture, everything possible supplied
We just loved our stay in this magnificent house … so beautiful, not a thing missed to ensure that our stay was 5 stars . So central, immaculate inside and we loved sitting in the sun on the balcony. Can’t wait to experience the beauty of this house again . Congratulations to the owners for presenting a beautiful house 👏👏👏👏
Lovely spacious property well furnished to complement it’s era. Clean, comfortable beds and amazing water pressure in one of the showers.one of our party was elderly and needed to take extra care accessing the entrance steps which did not have supporting rails. Traffic noise was noticeable at times during the day and night but generally didn’t disturb us too much. We appreciated the two bathrooms and layout of the house which allowed plenty of space for two family groups
Great location for what we needed being close to the city
Fantastic house very comfortable in every way. Regularly stay here when in Launceston for business.

House was tidy and spacious, loved the feel of the architecture
We loved staying here. And the fire was especially nice on cold nights. We were close to the CBD, as well as Cataract Gorge which we loved walking.

Fantastic old world charm with all you need, in a great location
Wonderful time had by both of us. Happy memories made and all due to the cosy ambience of the home. All you need is there. Yes, there is road noise but it didn't keep me awake. Great base from which to explore and twice daily walks around the Cataract Gorge were fantastic, thanks to the Victorian planners of long ago. We will stay here every time and Sharon is attentive in every way. Thank you for providing such a warm and welcoming place to stay. We hope to be back soon.

A heritage beauty steps from Cataract Gorge
Beautiful and spacious home; well positioned; excellent facilities; gracious host. On a main road which is convenient but there is some street noise in the early morning.

A fantastic location to access the Gorge and down town Launceston.
This property is beautifully renovated and immaculately appointed. It is on a very busy road, so if you have sleep issues or babies sensitive to noise probably not the best but we weren’t bothered at all. Loved its proximity to everything. We happened to stay in the one week Launceston had a heat wave and there was not a fan to be found. Understandably this would normally not be a problem but we could have done with one. The bedding and blankets were definitely sufficient if it had been cold. Also there was no WiFi which nearly killed the teenagers so that would have been a wonderful bonus to have access to. All in all a great place to stay.

Beautiful old home near the gorge
Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in this lovely old home, just 300m from Cataract Gorge. The interior was immaculately clean and well restored, a sight to behold. As mentioned in other reviews the home is on a very busy road, with traffic noise only abating around 11pm. This is more an issue for the front 2 bedrooms but we were well aware of this before renting so can't complain. Otherwise this home represents very good value for a short stay in Launceston.

Perfect in all ways but one.
Beautiful house with all requirements for a relaxed 3 day stay.
However traffic noise was loud in bedrooms 2 and 3 and on the verandah.

A Charming Little Cottage
This is a renovated period house in close proximity to the Cataract Gorge and Launceston City centre. Tastefully decorated, well presented and laid out, with the the booking process and interaction with the owner seamless. The house does suffer from traffic noise to those unused to such, but this is the only negative considered worthy of mention. We enjoyed our ten days there and was a great base to explore various parts of Tasmania.

Beautiful house. Fantastic hosts!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at West Tamar House Trevallyn. We stayed there for our wedding and it was our treat! It exceeded our expectations with its wide hallway and high ceilings. The house was beautifully presented with period furnishings and all the mod cons as well. The beds were clean and comfortable and there was plenty of room to get lost in. The two, large bathrooms came in very handy for us to get ready without bumping into each other before the big event! It's close to everything and our host, Sharon, was very responsive and helpful despite my calling at a very early hour. We would definitely recommend this place to all our friends and would love to stay here again!

Cozy, charming delightful family home. Outstanding location, we didn't need to use our car to get to main attractions of Launceston. As someone who has traveled widely, I highly recommend this property.

Cosy by the fire
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed, walking distance to restaurants, shops and the beautiful Cataract Gorge .Coming from a hotter climate, sitting in front of the wood fireplace at night was awesome.

Needs a few new touches
Lovely home....awesome location.....only negatives was the towels were small and the dining room chairs were extremely uncomfortable....Was looking for light blankets (couldn't spot any). as doonah was too hot. My bedside light didnt work...However these are small negatives, overall it is a charming spacious property.

Exceeded our expectations
Such a beautiful and spacious home that was in a wonderful and also very convenient part of Launceston. This house ticked all the boxes for us and we stayed in quiet a few properties during our Tasmanian adventure and this was by far our favourite! We'll be back again :)
