About this property

The Glass House Guilderton - The closest house to a river mouth in the WA

This front row architect designed beach house was built in 2009. The simple industrial design, natural timbers and expansive windows give the house a welcoming and beachside feel.

Spectacular and uninterrupted views of the Moore River, ocean and coastline can be enjoyed through the floor to ceiling glass windows which allow 270 degree panoramic views. Watch the sunset as you relax from the comfort of the expansive balcony which wraps around the front of the house. Wake to the sound of the ocean before walking 100 metres to beach and river mouth access paths.

The open plan, upstairs kitchen and living area take full advantage of the views. There is also an upstairs bedroom with queen size bed and ensuite.

Downstairs you will find a double bedroom, a bunk room with 2 sets of single bunk beds, a second bathroom and a small living area that opens up to a paved outdoor area with BBQ, table and chairs ... and even more views! This downstairs living area has secondary kitchen facilities with a second TV/DVD combo.

The house can be quite cool in the winter months as t is designed as a beach house. I central heating, portable heaters provided.

The house accommodates a MAXIMUM of 10 people.

It is suitable for families, couples and visitors from interstate or overseas.
It is not ideal for toddlers as all the living area is upstairs and there is a long staircase.

This beach house has everything you need - just bring food, sheets, towels and personal items.

Guilderton is located 95 kms north of Perth - allow 1 hour and 15 minutes driving time.

This is a nature based destination with a beautiful river perfect to canoe and swim in.

SORRY - NO school leavers, NO parties, NO smoking and NO pets are allowed.

The owners reserve the right to accept or decline bookings at their complete discretion.

This house has a MAXIMUM of 10 occupants.

Bedroom 1 - Queen size bed and ensuite with separate toilet and shower.

Each bed has pillows, cotton blanket and quilt in a cover.

Please bring your own sheets and pillowcases, bath towels, bath mats, hand towels and beach towels.

The Glass House Review!

It was a lovely property and suited in a perfect location, right next to the beach. It was clean, well furnished and had a large array of utilities. The only negative was the lack of air conditioning, as it got up to 38 degree whilst we were there, and as high as 24 degrees at night, which became quite bad. Apart from that the property was amazing and we can't wait to return next year if we have a holiday in Guilderton again!

Beautiful weekend at the Glass House

Our family loved staying here. The location is perfect, just across from the beach and easy walking distance to the river. We brought our canoes and enjoyed paddling on the river. The house was very well equipped and comfortable. The view from upstairs and from the deck was magic! We had amazing sunsets. The house could get a little warm in the morning with all the glass but there was a nice sea breeze later on. A great weekend getaway. We will be back!

Amazing view!

We loved this property, it offered the perfect space and comfort for two families. The location on the hill overlooking the Rivermouth and the Ocean is truly unbeatable. The kitchen is well equipped. You can sit inside and just look at that spectacular view all day long through the glass walls or from outside on the huge balcony! Jamie was a pleasure to deal with!

Lovely location - would be excellent with a few small changes

The location was great and amenities in the house very good. The upstairs living area is lovely but bedrooms are quite basic. On the downside, I wasnt happy that we needed to provide our own sheets and bath towels etc, I thought for the price this should have been included as it is a pain having to make up and un make the beds. I also expected there to be wifi - very suprised for it not to be standard in short stay accommodation. We swept and wiped everything over to ensure we left the property as clean as possible - without doing a full clean, but it really needs a good clean.

What a great time we had in the glass house. It accommodated 6 adults and a ten year old beautifully with more beds to spare.I was so impressed with loads of cutlery, crockery etc. Comfy beds, beach walks, a glass or two of wine watching sunsets on the top floor what a great night sleep each night. Really enjoyed would definitely stay again

Why they chose this property

The property was deigned by my father in law to be the dream holiday house for multiple families. It take 2 minutes by foot to get to the beach and the mouth of the Moore River.
Sitting on the deck, you are the King and Queen of the Castle.
This is a very rare property in a very unique position.
The property was first bought by the family over 55 years ago, the current house is 10 years old but designed to be timeless.

What makes this property unique

The upstairs kitchen/living area accommodates your entire group at the main dining table. Enjoy the whole family with the ever present view as a backdrop.
The number of repeat customers is testament to the house and and the service we provide.
