Perfect little beach house. Suitable for singles, couples & families that enjoy beach combing and lots of fishing. The kitchen is well equipped, has everything you need more. Nice shady spacious yard. Short walk to beach & boat ramp (2minutes)
Our 2nd stay here and probably enjoyed it more than the first, maybe because we had our dog with us this time. House has everything you need, short walk to a great beach where you can launch your boat with 4WD.Very quiet and peaceful location. Good communication from Andrew. Thanks
Perfet outback secluded part of Gloucester bay Beautiful beach , perfect sunsets, little clean spacious house with all you need Good fishing of the beach and sand bar . Dog friendly.
Awesome private place to stay. House has everything you need. Handy short cut to the beach where we didn't see anyone. Pretty easy to launch a tinny. The area is absolute paradise with great waterways and fishing. Will definitely be back.
We had a wonderful vacation, the accommodation was neat, tidy and clean. It was self-contained with enough options available to easily manage 8 nights of living in paradise virtually off the grid. Caught some great fish, the sunsets were stunning and it was by far the best break I have had from work in years. We will definitely be back!

We’re sorry to hear the guest was unhappy, but we feel this review is not a fair reflection of the property or the experience we provide.
The house was professionally cleaned prior to arrival, and no issues were reported at check-in. After being notified of the complaints, we arranged a full inspection — no plumbing faults or water quality problems could be found. The property runs on bore water, which is clearly disclosed in the listing and can naturally cause some staining, but it is safe and suitable for all regular use.
Rubbish was left behind by the guest, which is not in line with house rules. Based on the timing of the cancellation and the nature of the complaints, it appeared the group may have only intended to stay for the weekend at the end of the school holidays.
Nonetheless, we processed a refund for four of the seven nights and waived the $200 rubbish removal fee as a gesture of goodwill. We stand by the condition and presentation of the property and remain committed to providing a clean, comfortable, and accurate experience for all our guests.

Beware, what you read is not what you get. Cottage is grubby, no linen supplied, host told us it was Stayz responsibility to tell us. His site says "fully equipped". When we asked where the linen was he said there is some for emergencies (clearly happens often) - all mismatched and stained! Had to drive to AIrlie to buy linen and drinking water next day. Informed at check in via email that the washing machine wasn't working. The water turns everything red, you cannot drink it The drains and septic system smell. Electrical connections held together by duck tape. Fire extinguisher last check 2020. TV remote has no back on it , so you have to hold the batteries in if you want it to work. We used our kitchen utensils from our picnic bag as all kitchen utensils need a good wash. No dishwasher. Accessing the property for the first time through a second locked gate must be done during daylight as you will not find the lockbox, which you first have to climb through a gate to access it from the inside. Cobwebs, mould and cockroaches. Good points, the woodfire and the location. No matter the price, the site should say it as it is.
My family and I haven’t been to Sunset in over 30yrs, it was magnificent!
Great unit, great location, great fishing, great to chat to other people and residents living and holidaying there.
The property is a hidden gem, couldn’t ask for more! We will definitely be back! ❤️
Our 4th time at this property and it just keeps getting better. The cleaners do a brilliant job and the owner has upgraded the exterior. Hi five from us
We find the house very comfortable and an easy walk to the water. Great to relax. The weather was awesome and the fish were biting. 2nd time stayers and we will definitely be back next year
Third time at this property the owners have been steadily improving the facilities, however the guests don’t seam to look after things as they should. Location is paradise if you want away from the world to relax and a dream spot for beach and boat fishing.
Proud to leave the property better than we found it. Will be back again
Minimum seven nights stay actually was a bonus as it forced us to have to stay longer than our usual 3 nights. I can honestly say it’s the first time I have truly relaxed and unwinded in a long time. Seclusion and peacefulness. Beautiful beach. We also were able to bring our two dogs who also loved their holiday. This place is value plus for money. We will definitely be back.

Awesome Location
The location is truly awesome although the cabin is not beach front which we did not realise from the marketing. We also thought we were in the Sinclair Bay Resort by the way it was worded, which is beach front in the next bay around. All that aside, it was a great week on a beautiful beach, with amazing fishing, crabbing, beach walks, sunsets, etc.
Boat launching is via beach/rocks is tidal & definitely not for amateurs which we witnessed with our neighbours bogging their 4WD to the axles & needing to be towed out. We didn't have any problems after deflating tyres & low 4WD.
Cabin could have done with a deep clean, especially before Xmas, but we left it cleaner than how we got it, so hopefully the next people enjoyed that. Also some of the plumbing needs upgrading/fixing with grey water overflowing causing a bit of a smell while sitting in outdoor area around BBQ.
All up, for the money, really good fishing holiday & awesome location.
A slice of paradise, where you can get away from the entire world and relax.
Second time at this property and it just keeps getting better.if you are smart you take everything with you and escape the real world for a week or two. Will be back again. Thanks Andrew.
Although this house is set back from the beach we found it to be a wonderful holiday. Almost new kitchen and bathroom and comfy beds. Short walk to the beach but good exercise. Caught 29 different species of fish so really is a fisherman’s retreat. Loved it and will be back next year
Great little place to unwind and enjoy the area with no crowds. Queensland's finest.
