Luxurious secluded cottage B&B amidst vineyards in the beautiful Barossa Valley.
Enjoy panoramic views of rolling hills, spectacular Barossa sunsets, kangaroos amongst the vines and blue wrens on the lawns at Halletts Valley Hideaway - a luxurious self-contained cottage tucked away amidst vineyards on the outskirts of Tanunda, in the heart of the beautiful Barossa Valley. The property was rebuilt from the ground up in 2017, blending original timber beams and local stone with contemporary design to offer guests a haven of peace and comfort.
In the warmer months, enjoy breakfast in the secluded courtyard adjoining the cottage or a pre-dinner drink in the gazebo watching the sunset; in the cooler months, cosy up with the wood burning stove and Netflix (kindling and firewood provided).
A generous selection of home-made and locally-sourced food, drinks and nibbles is supplied with our compliments, including breakfast provisions for two days. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives can be provided.
We also offer 'enhancements' to the Halletts Valley Hideaway experience - in-room massage with an experienced, skilled therapist, chilled sparkling wine on arrival and a carefully selected list of museum wines to enjoy during your stay.
The Barossa has a wonderful variety of wineries, walks and restaurants. Ahead of their stay, guests are provided with a personal selection of food and wine things to do in the Barossa.

The cottage was amazing, had everything that we needed for a weekend away. Steve was an incredible host, great communication and met our dieatery needs with no hesitation. Would definitely stay again
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the cottage. It was very clean, cosy, quiet and well-located in the Barossa Valley for exploring the local cellar doors and restaurants. We especially enjoyed the breakfast provisions and the beautiful surroundings.
The suite was excellently appointed with everything we needed. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Loved and would definitely recommend the accomodation. Communication was easy, which made our stay totally relaxing!!
This place is absolutely amazing from the great hospitality of the hosts to the stunning views out of every window. There is nothing they haven't thought of. I loved the special touches of homemade fresh produce to the preference of milk. This is the perfect hidden gem for any couple looking for a romantic getaway amongst the vineyards. The exposed beams, polished floors, comfy couch, giant shower, big bed and kitchen facilities gives you all the luxury with a calm, welcoming vibe.
This cottage is absolutely beautiful! They are so close to the vineyards which provide an excellent view while cooking Brekky. Our car was able to be parked under cover, the place was so gorgeous and clean too. Eggs, bread, bacon and some charcuterie board type items were provided for us also for breakfast and snacks. Steve and Charmaine were lovely and super accommodating to dietary requirements and provided us with a bottle of wine upon arrival. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended if looking for a place super close to the beautiful wineries of the Barossa!
Steve and Charmaine had the most wonderful hospitality for our stay with them. The cottage was absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. They provided us with some great recommendations for things to do during our stay. Thank you so much!
A great little cottage for a getaway. Steve and Charmaine were excellent in communicating before our stay and during. A quiet place that you have to yourself. Very clean and tidy, excellent provisions for breakfast and everything you need. Beautiful fire which warms the cottage nicely. A great place to stay, would highly recommend.
Steve and Charmaine were great hosts. Quick to respond to queries and they ensured we had everything we needed. Loved our fish supper which was a great option we were able to order. The cottage was a pleasure to stay in and had all the comforts of a secluded retreat. Lovely food and breakfast provisions. Very comfy king bed and rain shower heads with lovely products. It was so relaxing watching the changes of seasons through the big picture window that looked out to the garden and vines.
We had a great 3 night stay at Hidden Valley Hideaway. The property is perfectly located 5 mins drive to Tanunda and set amongst local vineyards. Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay very memorable. The complimentary local products provided on arrival was an additional gesture that was a wonderful surprise. I won't hesitate in staying again at the property and highly recommend anyone planning a visit to the Barossa Valley to consider Hidden Valley Hideaway.
Beautifully decorated cottage, finished to a very high standard with high quality decorations and equipment.
Delicious local produce supplied for breakfast meals.
Highly recommended
Beautifully appointed self catering cottage in tranquil setting amongst vines, well equipped with all the necessities and some lovely luxury touches. Hosts are very friendly, approachable and accommodating. Very close to everywhere in the Barossa! Highly recommended
Great short break in the Barossa in a magnificent open plan cottage - hidden gem close to both Tanunda & Rowland Flat. The homemade pickles, jam, biscuits etc., together with complimentary Hayes Family wine, were an added reward.
Hosts were very personable & helpful.
