Vicki and Martin
About Vicki and Martin
We have lived in the village of Hyams Beach having chosen it as an ideal location to bring up our children. We both have a love of the natural environment and really appreciate the idyllic location in which we live. We reside at the northern end of the village with our home backing onto NSW National Park. Hyams Beach Hideaway is located at the southern end of the village. Martin was a manager in nearby Booderee National Park for 32 years prior to his retirement (you'll see a book he co-authored at the villa). He has a PhD in Marine Biology studying the little penguins that reside on an island in Jervis Bay. I am a teacher with a Master's Degree specialising in Early Childhood. I work as a casual teacher at TAFE.
Vicki and Martin purchased this Villa in 2014
Why Vicki and Martin chose Hyams Beach
We purchased this property so we could keep and share some very special items we have used to furnish, decorate and equip the villa with everything you may need. We are sure you will appreciate our eclectic yet practical inclusions!
What makes this Villa unique

Intimate bungalow on the doorstep to Hyams Beach
This is a perfect, low key but intimate hideaway right on the doorstep of Hyams Beach. Have been staying in the same place at Hyams for over 10 years, and will continue to for another 10, without a doubt. Thank you Martin and Vicky for a wonderful letting, and we hope to stay with you again very soon
You are welcome anytime!
Beautiful and Homely
Vicki and Martin's Villa was beautiful. So many little homely touches that made you feel very welcomed. The gardens are lovely with lots of native birds.
The location is amazing. Only a short strill through the bush to beautiful Hyams Beach
Would definately stay again and recommend to family and friends.
A perfect getaway
Hyams Beach Hideaway is just that - a quiet little villa tucked in amongst the trees just 2 minutes walk to the beach down a little track outside the back gate. The owners, Vicki and Martin, have ensured that you have everything you could possibly need plus some special little touches to make you feel welcome. We have stayed here multiple times and have started to think of it as "our holiday house", we love it. Vicki and Martin live nearby and are lovely people who are keen to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday. Hyams Beach is a beautiful part of the world and if you want to visit, we highly recommended a stay at Hyams Beach Hideaway.
Thank you for your lovely review. You are welcome to return anytime and encourage friends and family to come and enjoy this special place. The South Coast is open again for business and Hyams Beach remains untouched by the bushfires although we are devastated for our neighbouring towns and villages. The impact for individuals, families and for businesses is going to take a long time to overcome.
Hyams Beach Hideaway
This is our second stay at Hyams Beach Hideaway and loved it again. The closeness to the beach, the bird life and Vicki and Martins caring and helpful attitude makes this place special.
Everything you need
Love this place, have been numerous times. Everything you could possibly need is provided, it’s just like being at home. Can’t beat the location. Our kids call Hyams Beach Hideaway “our beach house”.
