Jack's is a spacious light filled house on a large block in a quiet residential street. Jack's House retains a cottage charm exterior with clean contemporary interiors and is comfortably furnished for a relaxing getaway for one to three couples or families.

Reverse cycle refrigerated air conditioning & heating provides year round comfort to the entire house, in addition all bed rooms have ceiling fans, heaters and electric blankets. Built in or walk in robes provide plenty of storage space for short or long stays.

Jacks House offers flexible bedding configuration for families and couples;

- Bedroom (1) King size Sealy ensemble new June 2023 and luxury linens, comfortable fluffy robes, flat screen TV & DVD, ceiling fan and electric blanket

- Bedroom (2) Offers two single beds with quality linen which may be converted to a third King Bed if required, comfortable fluffy robes, flat screen TV, ceiling fan & electric blanket

- Bedroom (3) King size Sealy ensemble new June 2023 and luxury linens, comfortable fluffy robes, flat screen TV & DVD, ceiling fan and electric blanket.

Continental breakfast provisions are provided for 2 to 6 guests.

Eat in or out, fire up the BBQ and enjoy the enormous child and pet-friendly back yard. Four televisions, complimentary DVD's and board games, books and magazines provide many entertainment options including FREE unlimited WiFi.

Kitchen with full-size oven, microwave and fridge. Quality cookware including Scanpan, Le Chasseur & Furi.

Just a five-minute walk to the Main Street shops, cafes, restaurants, Pubs and supermarkets. Clare Oval and Recreation Center are at the end of the street with pool, gym and squash courts, you will pass a playground and park on the way. The Riesling Trail is five minutes by bike & a ten-minute walk.

Excellent bedrooms and lounge all with TV’s.We were surprised that there were full breakfast provisions. We were expecting only continental breakfast provisions.However, one cupboard with breakfast cereal, etc was found later as there is no handle on the cupboard door.It could be helpful for future guests to know that all king beds could be set up as two single beds, if requested.

We stayed up here over new years for three nights Wow what a place. Provisions were great for breakfast, bedrooms and beds were huge and very comfy. The back yard was perfect for bbq and backyard cricket. And the dog loved the huge outside area to run and explore. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone and a thank you and a well done to the owners. Awesome :-)

Amazing cottage

Stayed here with my husband and 2 year old son for 4 nights. We had a fabulous stay, easy walking distance to shops and parks, everything in the house had been thought of. Breakfast provisions, children's bedroom, cubby house, ben linen and little homely touches were perfect. We hope to come back one day!

Fabulous house and position for a visit to Clare

Thank you Sue for our wonderful stay! The house was fabulous and breakfast provisions plentiful. The position is perfect for strolling to the Main Street shops and cafes as well as the local pool/fitness Centre and the Riesling trail. Will definitely stay again.

White on Wright is All Right

Sue was very easy to communicate with and with a last minute glitch to accomodation becoming unfortunately unavailable was very professional in finding a solution and having us move to another accomodation. The house was spacious, warm, inviting and well stocked with breakfast provisions. It’s location being so close to town but on a quiet no through road made for a very quiet ambience and easy access to town. Highly recommend staying in any house that Sue manages.

We were able to take our two toy poodles and felt very relaxed as the entire garden is safely fenced in. Unfortunately it rained throughout the entire time of our stay but one could enjoy a lovely area outside complete with couches, chairs and barbecue facilities if the weather was fine. The house is within walking distance to the Main Street where there are some great restaurants. (Particularly the Indian restaurant) The fridge is stocked with breakfast items and the pantry has a selection of cereals. All in all Jack's House has everything one needs to enjoy a perfect stay. We highly recommend it.

Our family of four enjoyed our two night stay. Well located to the town centre, generous breakfast provisions, clean and warm. We loved the country charm, it was quiet (except for the sound of birds) and the owners were very helpful with information and checkin. We don’t have pets so can’t comment on this.

Ultimate family getaway

We stayed here for 2 short nights.. we could easily have stayed here for a week or more.. it was the ultimate family holiday house! Sue has thought of everything and catered for every member of the family (including our dog!). It was fantastic being able to stay home all day if we wanted to, knowing that the kids would be well entertained with everything provided by the hosts. We could just sit back in the outdoor setting & watch them play (or join in!). The kids particularly loved the cubby house, we couldn't get over the size of the backyard. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around. We decided to take them for a walk to the nearby playground one day, and as we were leaving our son asked if we could come back to Jack's House afterwards! That just goes to prove how much he loved it. The beds were very comfortable and it was great having tv's in the main bedroom and kids room as well. The kids thought it was a real novelty being able to watch a movie in their own room. The breakfast provisions were also great. I could go on and on but in summary we will definitely be back. Anyone with kids (or without) will love this house.

Jacks House was our home until 2011 so the location, town, wineries and restaurants are well known & I'd be delighted to answer any questions you may have. We enjoy meeting wonderful folk from around the globe, though sometimes we're not fortunate enough to meet or guests in person (I like to give my guests ownership of the space while in residence) at least corresponding via email / phone so I feel I've helped make their holiday or short break a great experience.

Life's pleasures for me are family & friends, food, wine, books, cooking, live theatre, markets, bike riding & lap swimming with my teenage son, and time out walking with my partner.

Its a privilege to play a part in your holiday, we look forward to welcoming you to Clare.
