Great location and secure back yard for chn fun and storage of our bikes. We found the pantry and bar b que really good. Supply of other basics very low. One towel each and no hand towels. One bin liner. One tea towel. Laundry needs excellent.

Relaxing and fun New Years getaway

Over New Years 20/21 my partner, friends and I stayed for four nights. Throughout the booking process Bec was always happy to reply to my messages promptly. The house was spacious and exactly what we needed. The backyard was enclosed and had lots of grass which was perfect for cricket. We were able to walk down to the beach to see the fireworks and was a short drive to horseshoe bay where we spent New Year’s Day.

BBQ was totally unsafe . We started cooking & a fat fire started, the BBQ was fully on flames, our food was ruined- it is a disgrace & needs urgent replacement- luckily our son is a fire officer & put it out. The burner has totally rusted through. We possess photos/ videos. No spare toilet rolls, no spare paper towels. Towels are old & smell of cigarettes. Dyson had not been emptied and was half full of cigarette filters which confirmed the towels smell. Upstairs floor area was dirty particularly around the dishwasher. The outdoor shower did not work & the hose joint was broken. Overall, considering how much we paid for this place we would never revisit or recommend it to anyone.

I'm really sorry to hear that you had issues whilst you were there. We have now installed a brand new barbecue which is bigger and better than the previous one also. We also have a new outdoor shower on order, as the old one rusted out over the winter. Thank you for pointing this out. It is quite rare for it to be used during the winter months and the beach air causes a lot of rust unfortunately. We are a non smoking house and we insist on this in all of our listings. I'm sorry to hear of the problems you faced, and can assure you that we take complaints extremely seriously and spend a lot of time improving and repairing the house wherever needed. We have pride in our house that we always try to keep up to the highest standard and have taken everything you have mentioned on board and will continue to make the experience a great one for future visitors.
