Cooke's Haven - Ocean Views

Located in a quiet street, and only 400m to Boat Harbour and walking distance to Gerringong town centre.
Guests can enjoy ocean glimpses and rural views from the back deck which includes a barbecue and outdoor seating. There is a fully enclosed backyard, and a front courtyard to soak up the morning sun.

Features a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, flat screen TV with Foxtel & DVD player, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, double garage and off-street parking. A portable cot and high chair are available.

Enjoyed our stay

The house was great if you have a dog as fully fenced. Neat and tidy with an ocean view. Only issue we had was we couldn’t use the third bedroom as it was damp and musty after heavy rains. Otherwise great location and had everything we needed.

Short break in Gerringong.

Lovely comfortable home great location walk to everything. Kitchen well equiped. The only thing that I would suggest given 9 people can be accommodated is a slightly larger dining table and a couple of armchairs to supplement the lounge so all can sit comfortably in the living room other than that highly recommend.

Lovely house in a perfect location

We couldn’t haven asked for a better house for our recent trip. A short stroll to stunning beaches in one direction and to the centre of town in the other. The house was absolutely perfect for our trip and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Very nice place

Has been updated since photographed so was better than expected. Is very close to shops but at least 10 minutes walk to beach and a steep hill to climb each way. One bed is queen, and one is double and then bunks with a double. Pretty well equipped kitchen.

Great location and nice neighbourhood. The Agents need to keep an eye on their cleaners because they have a problem w Dirty pillows on the lounge filthy front courtyard that we had to sweep up Dusty floors in the lounge dining area

We did find it very difficult at all of our properties to maintain balconies/decks/courtyards with all of the ash from the bush fires not to mention the water restrictions in the area prohibiting such usage.

gerringong stay

House was ok, garage was full of junk could not use it, a lot of rules and warnings that the deposit could be taken from you. Deposit took 11 days to be returned. Felt like I was at my perants house no noise after 9pm was one of the worst rules, we are on supposed to be on holidays. I recommend if you looking for a Holliday stay just ring the local real estate agents as that’s all this was booked under we had to go to the realestate to pick up the keys and drop them off we also had to do the cleaning, not really a great way to spend my time on holidays. Oh, the only cleaning done was the toilets, there was crap and dirt all over the rugs and carpets no sheets or towels in the place, apparently we had to bring our own, never in my life has this happened to me and I have travelled to a lot of countries. I didn’t find using this website as useful, if you book with the realestate directly it would probably save you a bundle of money.

How disappointing to receive your negative feedback. We pride ourselves on our customer service and maintaining our properties to a high standard, so this was most difficult to hear. When holidaying in a property located in a residential area, we are bound by Council Rules & regulations. Whilst we want you to enjoy your holiday and use the house freely, I am sure you can appreciate that respecting neighbours is also important. Our Terms & Conditions were available to you prior to committing to the booking along with the property inclusions. The online property details clearly lists that this property does not include linen or towels, and prices are reflective of this. Also leaving the property in a clean and tidy state is clearly articulated in our Terms & Conditions, as agreed by you at the time of booking. You raised concerns around ‘pet friendly’ and we accommodated your requirement. You asked for an early check-in, this too was accommodated.

Cookes Haven overall good

The house was left not cleaned on our arrival. Especially with children around, I don't feel it was up to standard. We had to get a cleaner before we even unpacked which unsettled the stay from the start. The comfort of the beds is terrible, can feel every spring in the mattress and our bed was lopsided. Apart from those 2 issues, the house is well located, and has all the features we needed including Foxtel. I would recommend this property to people if it were cleaned prior to arrival and the bedding was updated.
