MARINERS' COTTAGE- circa 1866 - TAKE A STEP BACK IN HISTORY ( With 21st Century comforts!) IN ONE OF THE ORIGINAL COTTAGES OF THE GOOLWA AREA... This beautiful stone cottage is pet friendly and is located in what is known as Little Scotland in the Goolwa community. Located in a quiet one way street, Mariner's Cottage offers a quiet retreat to relax with the township and wharf only a short walk away, this location offers the best of both worlds. ***Free Wifi and Netflix provided for guests The Goolwa Oval is located at the end of the street- Great for families! The back yard is a private, leafy, fully secure area and is large enough for a game of back yard cricket. A great area for all the family to enjoy. 1 x Queen size bed, 1 x queen bed, 1 x single bed .Pillows and doonas are supplied . Complimentary bed and bath linen. . Maximum capacity is four guests. Tea towels and bath mats are supplied. Reverse Cycle ( Heating and Cooling) SPLIT SYSTEM AIR-CONDITIONING as well as a GAS LOG FIRE and uniquely an heated outdoor shower is on offer to enjoy . Sit back, relax and enjoy the complimentary wine in the leafy green rear garden! Only a moment's walk to Hector's Restaurant on the wharf and the Whistle -stop Café as well as the Sunday markets at the Goolwa Wharf . It's only a short drive to the wineries at Currency Creek and to the beautiful coastal towns of Port Elliot, Middleton and Victor Harbor. Activities in and around Goolwa include swimming in the beautiful Goolwa Beach and hiring jet- skis and kayaks to enjoy on the Murray River. You can also go for a bike ride, jump on the Steamboat Oscar W or hop on the Coorong Cruise boat and visit the Murray Mouth and much more. Picnic basket, table tennis table , dart board, board games, DVDs and boogie boards available for guests of Mariner's Cottage. Enjoy the convenience of a cold or hot outdoor shower after a day at the beach! Other things to note... Complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and sweeteners are provided for our guests as well as body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Music/ entertainment : *Wifi and Netflix *CD player *Two DVD players and an extensive DVD collection * Board games, chess, noughts & crosses, table tennis, tennis racquets , cricket equipment, darts and toys.

The Mariners cottage was very nice. There was no need to take anything with us as everything you need is here. Complimentary bottle of wine, chips and chocolates. Communication with the owners was very good.

Absolute gem, so warm and inviting and comfortable, perfect.

The beds were warm and comfortable. The kitchen, bathroom and lounge were comfy, clean, and the owners left us a little welcome gift which was so thoughtful. Beautiful Goolwa house

We enjoyed staying at the Mariner's Cottage. The house has lots of old character, but has been nicely renovated and styled beautifully. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed the spacious backyard, boogie boards, table tennis, outdoor shower and comfy beds. It's on a nice quiet street, while only a quick walk to the cafes and restaurants of Goolwa, and a short drive to the beach.
