Cat's Cottage Goolwa
Cat's Cottage is a three bedroom townhouse with two bathrooms and two living areas. The main living area is upstairs and has a balcony with a BBQ, overlooking the lake. The main bedroom is upstairs and has it's own bathroom. Downstairs has two bedrooms, both with two single beds and their own bathroom. There is also a laundry and open area downstairs.

BEDDING/LINEN All beds have their own quilt and pillow/s. Bring your own linen (including towels, sheets, pillow covers, bath mats etc) or linen hire can be arranged through Victor Harbor Linen. If you require linen, this can be arranged at the time of booking and the quote will be edited to include the cost of the linen.

ONE NIGHT BOOKINGS One night bookings are available, with the exception of long weekends and peak periods. However, if there is a gap between bookings during these periods, one night bookings can be negotiated.
THE PROPERTY Beautiful location, overlooking Goolwa Lake and opposite the Goolwa Aquatic Club and playground. Behind is the famous South Lakes Golf Course. Unit 4/65 Barrage Rd Goolwa
Goolwa has a number of attractions, including the Goolwa Sailing Club, an aquatic club that frequently has entertainment on the weekends and Signal Point where wine tasting is offered. There is always something on at Goolwa (Goolwa Regatta, Wooden Boat Festival, Ladies Golf Competition week)
Design your own walks. For example walk to the barrage (2.4 km), across the sand hills and along Goolwa Beach (approx 9km) that takes you to the beach café where the coffee is divine.
If you enjoy bike riding, there are local rides for all levels. BikeSA GABBUGS have a social ride on a Sunday around Goolwa and Hindmarsh island. Just bring your bike and the owner can provide more details depending on your level of riding ability.
Goolwa lake, playground and Bombora cafe directly in front. Walking distance to beach (2.2km), South Lakes Golf Club and the aquatic and sailing clubs.
BEDROOMS and BATHROOMS The property has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two bedrooms downstairs (two single beds in each) and the master bedroom upstairs (queen).
LIVING AREA There are two living areas inside. There is a Smart TV in the upstairs living area; you can attach USBs for movies etc. The property does not have wifi but you can hot spot off of your phone (for data) if you need to.
BALCONY The balcony has a BBQ, outdoor setting and this is where the views are premium.
KITCHEN The kitchen is modest, with microwave, oven etc. It has lots of bench space and is fully equipped with cooking utensils and crockery.
All rubbish must be removed from the property. A $25 charge will be sought for any rubbish left on the property and $50 if the BBQ is not left clean.

Hi Samantha, thanks for your review. As a NIDS provider it would be useful to give your staff member contact details of the owner so that they can make contact if there is an issue. If it had been a direct booking the issue would have been resolved immediately rather that waiting to give feedback through a review, especially considering I contacted you the moment I realised, which you didn't respond to.
Given this experience to address the situation I will be leaving my phone number at site (rather than guests having to have access to the Stayz booking, which has limits access to only the person booking) so that in future guest can ring me. Regards Gillian

Incredible location, especially for families! Scenic river views from the lounge area, a top tier playground literally across the road, and just a few minutes walk to a great cafe. Overall the property was great value! It is looking a little tired, e.g. main bed upstairs is heavily rusted, but overall the place was clean and tidy and met our family’s needs. Thank you for having us :)

This year I have replaced all single bed mattresses and internal blinds. I've had safely checks undertaken for electricity and plumbing and addressed every issue identified. We're in the process of replacing the garages and fencing at the back, after having to install a back fence along the boundary.
I aim to keep my property affordable for families so have absorbed all rate, power and utility increases for the past three years as it's such a beautiful location. Sadly, when my ratings is less that 5 star my property slides down the listings, meaning it doesn't come up as an option initially for people/families to consider.
I appreciate the feed back and plan to address the issue you raised, as it's important to me to maintain the property. If you have more suggestions please message me.
Place was easy to find as it looked exactly like the pictures. Lovely neat and clean place. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again.
A great place to stay, very clean, simple spacious unit. The view of the lake is great and the small balcony is a great place to sit and contemplate the view. There was everything we required to spent a few days away.

Thank you for your kind review. I'm sorry about the tap. I have had the plumber repair it and he went through the property and also completed a safety check. I've also had the electrician do a safety check this week. Both replaced a few things, so hopefully no more broken taps. Take care. Gillian

Why they chose this property
This property is in the perfect location. Close to the water, playground, golf course and café. The inside of the property has been modernised with bamboo flooring and has a washing machine, smart TV and two areas for relaxing. Directly behind is the South Lakes golf course.
The balcony overlooks the lake and is a great place to have a BBQ, cheese and wine. It is within walking distance to the main street, but far enough away to get away from the hussle and bussle.
