Let the sound of surf send you to sleep!
A cozy coastal bungalow, a 10 minute walk to the ocean, coffee shop and pub. Located in a quiet neighbourhood of Jan Juc, it's the perfect getaway to unwind and relax. Follow the sun around and lounge on one of the 3 decks at Beachy Keen.
Just off the famous Great Ocean Road, Beachy Keen is located in the heart of Jan Juc and is the ideal escape for winter or summer stays. The bungalow is a cosy 2 bedroom set up, packed with everything to make your stay as comfortable and seemless as possible.
Guests will find books, games, puzzles, foxtel, HD packed with classic movies, toasty indoor gas fire place, reverse cycle air-conditioning, large balcony at the front of the property, a separate deck out the back, Weber BBQ, the perfect kitchen for those who love to cook, popcorn maker, sandwich maker, 6 person dining table with additional 4 seats at the large kitchen bench.
You will find a manual to explain a few things such as how to use the oven and heater - that sort of thing.
Linen and towels are supplied (please advise of arrangements so we can set up accordingly). Please bring your own beach towels i f you plan to go for a swim etc. If you have little ones, we can also provide a portacot. There is no charge for this :)
Guests are welcome for a minimum of 1 night stay. Over peak period min. 2 night stay over peak/busy periods (e.g., School Holidays Christmas Holidays, Public Holidays - peak rates apply) unless otherwise arranged.
The property is pet friendly for dogs (outdoors only) and food bowls are available. We have done what we can to secure the property, so your furry friends don't get out, however on occasion small dogs have been able to get out. Unfortunately we don't accept responsibility for dogs that are able to get out.
We have boogie boards and 1 x G-board that we can hire to you for a small fee. Boogie boards $10 each and G-board is $30 for the duration of your stay.
GUEST ACCESS
Guests are allowed to access all areas of the property, excluding the garage. The parking lot is large enough for 2 cars. The key to the front door can sometimes be a little hard to use, however the same key will let you though the back door too.
GARAGE IS OUT OF BOUNDS FOR THE MOMENT
The entire property will be yours to enjoy except for the garage at this stage as we are completing renovations.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
We can be available to meet you at the property on arrival or will provide you with easy instructions on access to keys etc. We will do our best to try and help you when you are at the property - the best way to communicate is over the phone :)
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Jan Juc neighbourhood is relatively small but jammed packed with activities and things to do. Our neighbours are good friends of ours and have come to our aid iif we are unable to attend to anything urgent. Windarra Grove is particularly a quiet street and with residents living in the street permanently.
THE BEACHES AND SURF
The Ocean is literally just over 800m away - a very easy walk straight up Domain Road. And when you get there you will be blown away with it's sheer beauty and quality of surf. If you are into exploring caves - depending on the tides, you will love.
PARK
There is also a park only 300m away which has everything from a footy oval, playground, skate ramp, basketball and netball rings! Great for a game of cricket or just throw a ball around.
HORSE RIDING MAYBE?
If you fancy a horse ride - Spring Creek Horse riding is a fantastic school for all levels.
WALKING AND BIKE TRAILS
We will supply you with information on many different walking trails, Some trails are also ok for biking especially Jan Juc to Bells or Jan Juc to Torquay or Torquay to Bells... So many places to visit and explore on foot or bike.

You are so lucky to have some local eats so close. The local pub for an evening meal or cold drink, Swells and Birdrock for coffee and breakfast in the morning (although Birdrock open for a cold beer in the afternoons in Summer), the Cave for Pizza and Jan Juc Fish and Chip shop - spoilt for choice all on the same strip.
HEALTH AND WELL BEING
If you want to chill out, Yoga/Pilates on the same strip as Swells and Jan Juc pub offer some you time. Alternatively 3 minute drive into Torquay, Bikram Yoga offer Hot Pilates and other sessions.
SHOPPING
Pick up a new wetsuit or surfboard on the main strip in Torquay, also grab a bargain at Baines Crescent.
GETTING AROUND
There is a bus that will take you to Geelong Station at the end of the street that goes everyday. Otherwise you can take the bus into Torquay if you need to and jump back on to get to Windarra Grove.
