The Butlers has a clubby (old English Gentleman club) atmosphere. The drawing room has a bay window with a cosy open fire, polished floors and nice comfortable “slip in to something” furniture from the 1920’s.
Two large bedrooms both with fireplaces lead off the hallway with king, antique nickel plated queen & single beds, antique dressing tables and wardrobes. The well-lit bathroom is huge with an original claw and ball cast iron bath and tessellated floor tiles.
The kitchen has the feel of a country kitchen with a big country timber dresser and kitchen table; this is where the butler mixed drinks for the master of the household.
There is a cellar set up with a Barossa Valley stretcher plank dining table and chairs for intimate dinner parties and a breezeway with cane tables and chairs. This has a comfortable, cosy feel and is great for two couples or a family.
Private apartment, as well as the Buxton Manor grounds with the gorgeous sucken garden to the front of the property as well as the large landscaped garden to the rear. Buxton Manor gardens include bbq area and sun lounges you can relax and enjoy a good book in.

An inviting, historical place to stay that is close to everything you need. It was especially lovely to just sit in the gardens and relax. The hosts were very accommodating and a pleasure to interact with. A must stay for everyone.
Walking distance to the city and on the free bus routes, this spectacular and comfortable place suited us perfectly.

Unbelievable Property!!
You could not ask for nor expect better service or quality for a period property. From the first contact to leaving it was a pleasure to be there, we are already planning a longer visit and have recommended it to others.
"Sensational Adelaide"still lives on.
