Experience the backwoods like you’ve never before at this quaint, dog-friendly Blue Ridge Mountain cabin. Perfect for a couple, it welcomes a most relaxing stay with amenities including a pool table, a hot tub, and a wood-burning fireplace.

Located in the picturesque rolling mountains of northeast Georgia, this home’s woodland address affords quick access to tons of awesome activities in the great outdoors. Float down the nearby Chattahoochee River on a tube or kayak, spot native wildlife like bears, deer, and raccoons on a nature hike at Unicoi State Park, or view towering waterfalls at Anna Ruby Falls.

Step inside this home to feel its cozy cabin ambiance with wood paneled walls and ceilings, stone accents, and mountain-themed decor. Relax in the living room and play a fun game of pool, or catch a nap on the comfy leather couch. Festive, recently updated rugs adorn the space. While resting on the couch, you could also watch a favorite cable series on the flatscreen TV, which is also equipped with a DVD player for movie nights. If it’s chilly outside, throw a few logs in the living area’s fireplace and let a roaring fire quickly warm the room.

Through a set of French doors, head out to the screened-in deck to sit on rocking chairs and read a good book, or slip into your swimsuit for a luxurious soak in the private hot tub.

Back inside, you’ll find a modern kitchen with a new refrigerator and microwave, countertop space, and varied cookware to assist you in quick and easy meal prep. Head onto the deck for al fresco dining with lush woodland views and the sounds of nature swirling all around you. You’ll even find a gas grill on the deck - perfect for warm weather barbecues.

Time to call it a day? Retire for restful slumber in the bedroom’s king-size bed and freshly updated comforter, which will accommodate two guests. The bedside heart-shaped jetted tub is a perfect place to wind down your day, and its stone waterfall adds a touch of elegance.

Bring along your laptop computer to use the home’s WiFi for adventure planning, and bring along your dog to join in the fun (with a small nightly fee, your four-legged friends (up to two) can tag alongside you on your Georgia getaway).

Wake up refreshed and ready for new adventures. Care to do some wine-tasting? Visit any of the area’s numerous wineries and sample acclaimed vintages made from locally-grown grapes. You could also find the perfect gift among festive alpine shops in nearby Helen’s Bavarian-themed village, or bone up on the history of the area at the Museum of the Hills.

Nice cabin, but very cold

Overall the cabin was great, had a full kitchen, a hot tube, a heart shaped jacuzzi and the tv could be rotated to face the living room or the bedroom. My one significant issue is that, while there was a thermostat, there was no central air conditioning and the space heater that they left was just enough to warm one corner of the bed at night. The morning was very cold. I’m sure central air isn’t listed in the description, it’s just the first cabin I have been to that didn’t have it.

Loved this place!

Your nestled back in the woods and it was very relaxing hearing the sounds of nature. My husband loved having his morning coffee out on the screened back porch every morning. Cabin was extremely clean and bed was super comfy. We will definitely book again in the future!

Great location, easy access, very clean

The only crux of this property was that walnuts, acorns, and pinecones would bombard the roof and make a very loud gunshot like sound at night, definitely startled us a few times. It would be worthwhile for the surrounding branches over the roof to be pruned off. We loved the home itself, we just didn’t have a full night of sleep due to the noise

Dirty check in vacasa poor management

We traveled six hours to stay here and we’re not told until the day of that we could check in early. We were then sent a message on the way that we needed to rate the cleanliness of the rental. When we arrived, we immediately saw that there was a sticky substance on the coffee table, living room floor area, bedroom area, and bathroom. There were bugs in the windowsill, also was hair in the sink and on the countertops. When I responded to the rating of the cleanliness being a one, I got an automatic response of thank you for rating the cleanliness….No solutions offered and no cleaning supplies or mop, available to clean up the mess ourselves. We had to purchase cleaning supplies to make it clean.Internet was not readily available on the way up from our service provider. We suggest downloading off-line maps to help get around the area. The next day we were offered a late checkout and attempted to accept it when we were on our vacation. Service did not allow us to complete the transaction and we were told that we could not accept it after we got back to the cabin and had Wi-Fi available. If there is an owner of this place that trusts vacasa to manage it I feel bad for them. The bed was clean from what I could tell. There was a cap missing on the hot tub on the screened in porch and the jetted tub advertises inside had an inefficient faucet that took over one hour to fill the tub above the jets.We had a great time exploring the area and it was very beautiful.

Dirty and vacasa didn’t care

I was asked to rate the cleaning before we arrived. Upon arrival the unit was dirty. Something sticky was all across the floors and table with no mop to clean it myself. There was hair in the sink and on the counters in the bathroom. There were bugs in all the windows on the inside. Clearly not cleaned well. Thankfully the bedding seemed to be clean. I sent pictures to vacasa and they didn’t care. I then asked about late check out because we got a late start they said it wasn’t available. Then I got an email saying it was the following morning. We had spotty service and I was unable to complete that process and when I reached out to vacasa they said that it was not available and they did not see where an email had been sent to me even though I sent them a screenshot. The hot tub was missing a cover for the basin where the chemicals go. The jetted tub advertised had strange plumbing- the faucet and water pressure was not large enough to fill the tub. It took an hour and a half to get the water up to test the jets….. I booked through Vrbo, and found that it was managed by vacasa. I would not rent with vacasa again because it seems they take customers money ( and owners to manage a property) and then do not follow through with good customer service or care about satisfaction. The area we stayed in was very pretty.

Cozy and adorable! Close to downtown Helen but away from crowds and traffic!

My husband and I loved the Shasta cabin! It was clean, cozy and just perfect for a romantic getaway. I wouldn't really recommend bringing another couple or kids as the cabin is basically one big open room, except for the bathroom. We loved the wood burning fireplace and having some wine while relaxing in the hot tub. We just loved it and hope to return one day!!!

So close to great

Has a lot of great amenities but desperately needs some TLC to make things work properly. The bath tub takes around two hours to fill halfway, the jet increaser knobs on hot tub are stuck, the pool table tilts, the tv swerves and knocks over the wifi router. So many good things in this house that have problems the owners don’t seem interested in fixing.

Relaxing

The place was clean. The jacuzzi tub inside has no cold water hooked up to it. Just hot water. The smell of sewage was awful at times. Don't know if it was the one we stayed at or one of the other ones. And last but not least we weren't able to get in until 445pm on check in date. On a minor note...pool table looks and is rough. Thanks

Nice place with some...quirks.

A very nice place for couples. Love the location as it's very quiet. Be careful with low riding vehicles as it's a gravel drive and was a bit washed out from recent rains. SUVs shouldn't have any issues, though. The hot tub was fantastic. We used it everyday we were there. The heart shape jacuzzi tub on the other hand, was a bit different. While the tub itself was nice, the owner had a sink faucet attached instead of a bathtub faucet. It literally took an hour to get the water high enough to cover the Jets with both of us in there. Had no one been in the tub it would have taken an hour and a half as we calculated. So if you plan on using the tub make sure you have plenty of time. Also, there was no lighting around the tub. The only light was the lamp from the end table or the overhead ceiling fan over the bed. The bathroom is very small but usable. However it really needs an exhaust fan as it gets very hot when taking showers. You cannot leave the door open as the door hits up against the tub and covers most of the tub. We open the window to help exhaust the heat. The kitchen is very small and has no counter space and no cabinets space. So I would imagine cooking would be a chore. We didn't try it because of how small it was. Also there is no lighting above the sink which makes it very dark over there. The only light you get is an under counter light where the coffee maker is located and the light from the microwave above the stove. Any other lighting comes from the ceiling fan in the living room area. While the small Cafe style table and chairs is a nice addition, due to lighting, it wasn't as usable as it could have been. Those two chairs as well as the couch in the living room are your only seating options other than two chairs on the deck and the bed. The inclusion of a pool table effectively in the kitchen is an odd choice. We essentially used it as a table. By the wear on its surface it seems others have done the same. Personally, I would remove the pool table and put an Island bar in its place. This would allow seating as well as a place to put your food. Just a thought. Overall it's a nice place and I would probably stay there again. However, it can definitely use some improvements.

Cozy cabin feel

We loved the feel and lay out of this cabin. The screened porch with beautiful views of the trees was perfect. The location was also very convenient for our favorite hikes. The cabin was the perfect size for our small weekend getaway into the rolling hills of GA. However, the cabin was very poorly lit and needs some upgrades in our opinion.

Shasta Cabin

The cabin sits off a gravel road…almost hidden from view of other cabins. Sitting in the stillness of the morning hours sipping my coffee was the perfect way to start the day! Close to downtown Helen, Anna Ruby falls…an ideal spot! A great way to relax after a full day in Helen!

Pretty good!

This place is pretty perfect for a quick getaway. It’s definitely more geared towards couples (hence the heart shaped jacuzzi lol) so it’s great for couples. It’s very close to Helen and some cute places. The TV is on a rotating plate so you can watch it on the couch or in bed, which was super nice. As others have mentioned, if you do decide to utilize the heart jacuzzi, it will take about an hour-hour and a half to fill above the jets, so plan accordingly haha. The hot tub was a plus, too. It’s not five stars because the top blanket on the bed had some…questionable stains/marks and there were random hairs on the bathroom floor and around the jacuzzi. The neighbors are also closer than I thought they would be and one of them was very loud, but it wasn’t a huge deal. Overall, for the price it is pretty good and we enjoyed it!

Nice cabin in the woods

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It could have had more dishes/silverware provided but overall we had everything we needed. The turn to the cabin could have been marked better as it was dark and there was just a small sign.
