Excellent venue for quiet stay
This is a large, rambling double-story house, with loads of space, and with great views across the township and of parts of Lake Eildon. Although not by any means a new house, it is comfortable and spacious, and the six of us were all satisfied with the facilities.
Owner, Nicole, was helpful in all of the email chats, and the place was just as we had expected after seeing the photos on the website. We were already aware that the nearest large supermarket was in Mansfield, so we bought food for the entire four days of our stay. One unexpected feature was the two refrigerators, which were very handy, given the amount of food that we brought along!
The location is calm and peaceful, with very little in the way of noise, but as we were staying at the time of the Gippsland bushfires, some people may have chosen not to visit anywhere in country Victoria where there was the possibility of fires. I was certainly expecting the town to be busier in the first week of January. Although we had limited visibility up until the last morning, the smoke was virtually everywhere in the state over the past few days. None of this put a damper on our enjoyment of the property.
We would certainly consider staying here in the future.
