Perfect for families, Lemon Tree Shack is a peaceful retro haven by the water.
See the dolphins and koalas, play on the beach, relax on the balcony, take coastal walks, there is plenty to do.
Located at Lemon Tree Passage, Port Stephens, the Shack is ideal for family holidays. Sleeping up to 9 people, it is family and pet friendly( *conditions apply see below ).

The yard is fully fenced and only a 100 metre walk through the Koala reserve to the beach.




Lemon Tree Shack sleeps up to 9 people.
Bunker Bedroom sleeps 4 = 1 x king size bed and bunks
Main Bedroom sleeps 3 = 1 x king size bed and 1 single bed
Sunroom sleeps 2 = 1 x Double Sofa Bed

Ground Floor- Bunk Bedroom, Main Bedroom, Sunroom, laundry, Bathroom.

1st Floor- Kitchen, lounge room , dining room & balcony ( 1st floor accessed via external staircase)

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, PILLOW SLIPS & TOWELS
( The BIG BEDS are two singles put together , so a KING fitted sheet is best or a Queen flat sheet would suffice for the base . Each bed has two pillows per person)
Pillows, Duvets ,blankets, tea towels and hand towels are provided.

*Additional linen rental extra $25PP for the stay, includes bed linen & towels. Please advise ASAP.

PETS: Dogs must not be left alone or allowed to bark incessantly. No pets on carpets, furniture or bedding. Please clean up after your pets. The property is fenced to 900mm. The soil is sandy and dogs can dig under fences if unattended. There is a Koala reserve at bottom of the yard. Please use a leash.

Amazing location! Cute house!

We had the best time staying at Simons property. He was so lovely, giving us a call to organise bedding for us and run us through the layout of the house.. i loved all the quaint decor, really felt like i stepped back in time! House was very clean, and kitchen full of everything you could need to cook a meal. The neighbour's were lovely too, bringing us fresh crab from thier crab pots. We enjoyed the swings out in the reserve in front, and my son loved going fishing in the river. Lemon tree passage is such a cute area, highly recommend Simons property for a stay in the area!

Making memories

This property takes you back to carefree childhood holidays by the water. An easy morning spent exploring the river front and laid back afternoon snoozing in the sunshine.Plenty to keep the kids occupied and off screens, all the amenities you could need and enough board games to sink a ship.A quirky throw back to holidays in the 70’s and 80’s which the kids are already talking about ‘when we go back to…’

A Crackerjack of a Shack

Homely, quirky, spacious and comfortable. A retro shack with a huge personality! Nothing pretentious, mind you, but a great place to chill, go kayaking (as we did. easily carrying the kayaks down to the water), fishing (not for us though, too impatient). There's a lovely walking track just out the back door of the Shack, and many other top tracks and board walks around Lemon Tree Passage. Simon is a brilliant host, making sure that we knew where everything was. What's more, Wayne and Carol are the perfect next door neighbours, welcoming and friendly. The Shack offers everything anyone could possibly want, except it will never be contemporaneous which is partly what gives it charm!

Lovely stay near water

Family friendly property. The communication regarding access to the property and activities to do in the area was really helpful! We booked 2 nights but something came up and we only stayed 1 night. Will be back next time!

Great retro getaway in a beautiful location

Had a great time at Simon's house. Communication was great and we had everything we needed. It's the perfect tranquil location by the water and a great getaway to do some golf and quad biking in the sand dunes. Poyers restaurant down the road was a hit too.

Great spot, what a treat

From the friendly neighbour, to the quirky 70s aesthetic, this place is a bunch of fun. Great entertaining area outside with easy access to the water. Kayaking and sand castles are easy, great for a young family. Short drive to the beautiful beaches of Newcastle.

Quirky fun 70s style

The Shack was a quirky fun place to stay ….. the decor seems to have been inspired by the 70s - wallpaper even - and some orange furniture. On the more serious side everything was supplied and easy to locate. Great water pressure in the shower, and I can imagine how much fun kids would have watching dvds downstairs on their own space while the oldies had drinkson the large upstairs verandah with glimpses of the water through the trees. Access to the water was easy through a small adjoining park. Don’t expect the Shack to provide 5 star luxury, but you can certainly give yourself a very affordable 5 star holiday basing yourself there.

Great weekend escape!

We loved our stay at The Shack. The accomodation had absolutely everything we needed for a comfortable and cosy winter weekend away. The house backs onto the water where we spent our days fishing. At night, we enjoyed warming up by the fire pit and spotting a possum in the tree nearby. Our dog was very happy running freely in the enclosed yard. Thank you Simon - we'll be back soon !

Perfect for stay with a pet and boat

Lemon Tree Shack is a great base for a holiday to enjoy the Port Stephens area. Its location on a quiet street, and backing onto the water, provides a charming setting to enjoy the sounds of birdlife and a stroll on the sandy shore. It is very close to local shops and a boat ramp. The property is owned by Simon. His prompt and detailed communication ensures a smooth check in and stay. This place has is a uniquely retro aesthetic that is fun, comfortable and cozy. We love the upstairs dining room and balcony view of the water. From there, we could sit back and relax whilst keeping an eye on our dog as she enjoyed roaming the secure backyard. This accommodation is simple, clean, well kept, has a kitchen with everything you need, good wifi and easy parking out front for a car with a boat trailer. I would recommend the Lemon Tree Shack to anyone and we will certainly be back. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday. Thank you Simon.

A very Characteristic Shack

Dear Simon Big thanks for letting us stay at your place. So much to love with the 60s vibe! The spacious backyard with the trampoline ( our kids enjoyed from 7 to 20 years old) Access to the lake via the backyard was a bonus. The lake with its soft sand and clear waters Fishing on the kayak and paddle boarding Coffee from Poyers and the view from the marina Hours of fun with the variety of boardgames Visiting the surrounds and chatting with the locals...everyone is so friendly! Shout out to Wayne for his welcome, fishing, crabbing tips and extra firewood. Thanks again, beautiful spot for a mini retreat for our family. Best wishes Jack and Carol
