We loved the cottage .. just the right size for 2 people and filled with everything we needed for our stay.
Comfy bed .. great wood fire .. and perfect location.
We stayed 5 nights and would have liked to have had a couple more nights.
Well placed accommodation and comfortable. Short walk into town and the coast. Good made for exploring the island. Would definitely recommend to family and friends
A very quaint, period style property. Within easy walking distance to the commercial centre, wharf/waterfront, etc of Kingscote. Very neat and tidy presentation
Such a cosy, homely and quirky little stay! The 1950s blacksmith cottage had loads of charm. Our host was incredibly kind and accommodating—especially with a few little accidents from our toddler and myself (which Fern was so gracious about). Travelling with a toddler while in my second trimester of pregnancy wasn't easy, but this place made it feel comfortable and welcoming. 10/10!
We had a wonderful stay at the Forge accommodation in Kingscote. This gorgeously quirky house had everything we needed plus the best shower! A lovely verandah for an evening glass of wine and a garden where we had an abundance of delicious tomatoes and ripe figs. The Forge is easy walking distance to the town centre. We’d definitely stay again.
I really loved staying here in the little old house. Reminded me of my grandma’s cute house and all the pictures and items from days gone by right down to the dinner set and kelvinator refrigerator. Everything in working order and all the comforts we needed with the updated bathroom. Comfortable bed too.
This was a lovely place to stay for 5 nights, with period character inside and a garden patio with barbecue for the evenings. It's clean, comfortable and 5-10 minutes walk from the main strip and the beach in Kingscote. I guess it could be stuffy in a heatwave (no air con) but, for us, the evening sea breeze cooled the place nicely.. We would go back.
More than a bed to sleep in, this cottage has charm, convenience and a great base for several nights in Kingscote. The owner has provided access to a large vegetable garden which was much appreciated. The extra bird life was a bonus.
