We had a very nice stay over the Easter long weekend. Although it rained the whole time, we felt warm and cosy. The place was spacious, clean with all amenities. Great family friendly place.

Thanks Marie, who said a holiday by the sea has to be sunny to be fun and relaxing. Glad you enjoyed your stay.
We had the best time staying in the gorgeous home. Only a 10 minute walk to the beach and a short drive to Sorrento.
Alexander couldn’t have been a better host, any question was answered within minutes.
Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Hi lad you had a great stay Beck. We would welcome you back. Hope you lit a fire and made it cosy!
Despite a noise complaint, property manager was respectful and understood that noise will be made during the day. He also let us check in early and the location was great. I would recommend staying here as i would stay there again.
Amazing house for a big schoolies group! The beds are so comfortable and a lot of space to chill around. You can walk to Tyrone beach takes about 15 mins and a cheap 10 dollar Uber to the rye foreshore. Great house

Great to hear you enjoyed your schoolies and that we could you the right place to celebrate it! All the best for whatever next for you!
Bright little place for stay in Rye and close to beach!
We stayed 5 nights over Christmas break. The house is well lit, big windows brought in bright daylight (I loved the skylights), good floor plan and perfect for our 2 families. The deck has awnings perfect for any weather. We had most of our dinners there! It also has nicely stocked pantry, which is an understatement. Really - you can feed a family of 8 for couple of days before running out of anything.
The house was lovely and spacious, even for 10 people. The owners are very lovely and nice and were very helpful with us settling in. And they even left us a little gift at our arrival. Definitely would recommend for others to use, even with larger groups like schoolies

Congratulations on finishing your school years and all the best for your future endeavours! Great you had a good time
Great house with the dual living spaces which was perfect for our group. The newly renovated bathrooms were amazing, front deck with the pull out awning was a massive hit given the summer time. House tucked away only 5 mins from the main shops and 10 mins down to beautiful Sorrento which was a massive hit during our stay.
Alex the owner would certainly of been the best from a communication perspective right from the moment of us making the booking, pre arrival, during our stay and post our stay. 10/10 from our end and loved it! Thanks.
What a lovely bright, welcoming property! Kitchen has all the amenities you could ask for, super comfy beds and great pillows. Love the two lounge areas and wrap-around deck for the whole family to enjoy together or separately. Plenty of games and puzzles for the non-beach days and less than 15 mins to the Hot Springs! Plus an open fire for mashmellow toasting! We will definitely be back!
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home.
Tucked away in a quiet street but still close to everything it was the perfect place for a weekend of rest and relaxation.
Great place for a getaway, under 20 min walk to the beach. Generous host provided access to their dinghy and boogie boards and allowed late checkout too.
My sister and I stayed at Alexander’s property with our kids for a few nights. We booked last minute and communication to set us all up was fantastic. The property is cosy and perfect for families. Would recommend.

Autumn can be a wonderful time down the peninsula! Glad you enjoyed your stay
Perfect house for a weekend away with a family. Communication with Alexander was fantastic. He accommodated an early and late check out so my friends baby could nap. Absolutely loved the deck and the nature shower with hot water! It was a perfectly appointed house and great for our two young families. Thank you Alexander.
Great location - quiet neighborhood
Easy to find and short distance from central Rye, Blairgowrie & Dromana
Went sightseeing, went to Carnival & also relaxed at beach.
Whole family enjoyed our stay.
Would love to return soon
Alexander was able to host us (a group of adults) for my 30th birthday and we had a great time here. It can be tricky to find private accommodation, even for a small celebration, so it was much appreciated. The property is well presented, very well-lit and has heaps of living space (i.e. multiple couches and tables). The bathrooms are quite nice and new, the beds are comfy. The kitchen has a million cupboards to navigate with all sorts of stuff.
Location-wise, it's about a 5-10min drive to the shore/shops/restaurants, I wouldn't recommend walking (quite hilly and a far distance).
The driveway is quite long, so you can easily fit four cars without having to park on the street.
We had some minor issues (e.g. internet was out for 1.5 days), but this was beyond Alexander's control. Alexander was very responsive to any messages, which was appreciated.
A spacious and roomy house with 2 living areas, we especially loved the outdoor shower with hot water!!
The owner of the property made us feel very welcome and was an excellent communicator and always responded promptly.
Hope to stay again soon.

We even managed some better beach weather for the second part of your stay!
We had a lovely time in Rye at this house, special arrival surprises, lovely house set up, the owners couldn’t have been more helpful to make it all very smooth. We had a fun and social week in Rye, with golf, massages, cinemas and relaxing BBQs on the deck. Thanks for having us. We will be back.

About the host
Hosted by Alexander Woolley
I live with my wife and our five adult children in Melbourne. We our guests aren't enjoying it, we like to pack up on a whim and head away even for just one night to refresh and recharge. With WiFi, we can work/study as if we were at home.
Why they chose this property
We have recently renovated and updated Tyrone Beach House to make it a great place to relax and just “be”. It has always had a great feel but we have taken it from its tired lime green beginnings to what you see today. We love how it looks and feels and hope you do too. We bought it on a whim because we loved the north-facing deck, the dual living spaces and the daggy holiday shack feel of the place and how it is tucked into the native Moonah trees. Not too far from the beach, it just has that beach feel about it.
What makes this property unique
We always loved the deck but really love it now that it has the cafe awnings above. They not only protect from the sun, but make the area the best room in the house! We love the hot water outdoor shower too; perfect for when you come back from the beach!
