What’s in a BESTNEST:

• Our hallmark? CLEANLINESS! Yes, we’re shouting it out and so are our guests- just read our reviews.
• Linens: Ahhhhh, yes! Completely comfortable, all cotton bed and bath linens including extra blankets and clean and comfy sleeping pillows, and clean kitchen linens.
• Always provided in every BESTNEST in quantity for your stay: beach chairs/umbrellas/sand toys/beach cart, beach towels, a supremely equipped kitchen (in quality and quantity), hand soap, dish soap, kitchen sponges, trash bags, paper towels, tissues and toilet paper, your favorite hair dryer ever, fragrance free laundry soap and dryer sheets, ziploc bags, coffee filters, cleaning supplies, loads of quality coat and skirt hangers, and a few surprises.

Our FAQ:

HOW FAR TO BEACH: Out the side door-- 2-3 minutes walk and your toes are in the surf. Prefer to drive? DAY AFTER LABOR DAY THROUGH MARCH, EVERYONE MAY PARK AT THE BEACH CLUB.

PETS: We welcome your well-behaved dog (small to medium sized) for $350 per dog, maximum 2. Regrettably, Labradors and other oily coated breeds are not allowed. Dogs are never allowed on furniture or beds (or their humans have to pay a fine) and must be crated when left alone.

No pets in your party? No problem as there is NO pet evidence in this house.

PAYMENTS: For reservations made thirty (30) days or less days prior to arrival, payment in full is due at the time the reservation is made. For reservations made thirty one (31) days or more prior to arrival, payment of 25% of the total is required, and the full amount of travel insurance premium, if accepted, is required at the time of booking. The balance of the final total is required thirty (30) days prior to arrival. Long term winter reservations policy differs- please inquire.

CANCELLATIONS: You are welcome to cancel your reservation without penalty and receive full refund of your deposit up to 31 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made 14 days to 30 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund of total payment. At 13 days prior to arrival, your reservation becomes noncancelable and non-refundable. Travel insurance is always highly recommended.

This was by far the most well stocked vacation rental we have experienced. The home was very clean and had comfortable beds. There will be no problems cooking a meal and having all the utensils you would have at home. For example, having chip clips for your snacks was great! We would rent this house again!

Great place for our trip

Very quiet and close to the beach (less than 5 minute walk on a path). We have stayed in several places over the years and this was the best stocked in terms of beach towels, chairs, coolers and a welcome basket. Ended up calling the location help number when we arrived and when we left and they were friendly and helpful both times.

We had a great family vacation at 8 laughing gull. House is well appointed and a short walk to the beach. Perfect for our family of 5. Sea pines is a great location. We rented bikes and rode all thru the area. Really enjoyable beach vacation.

8 Laughing Gull was perfect - located steps from the beach, single level, impeccably clean and thoughtfully accessorized. We had everything we needed, including a well equipped kitchen, laundry room and plenty of bath and beach towels. The home was light and bright - tile floors, sliding glass doors and skylights with comfortable beds. Perfect place, perfect stay!

Perfect vacation!

We had the best time at 8 Laughing Gull! The house is in a fantastic location and had everything that we could need. Not having to bring beach towels, chairs and a wagon was a gigantic plus!! The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was wonderful to work in. The beach was amazing and super easy to access. We had bikes delivered to the house and had the best time biking all around sea pines on the shaded paths. Hope we can return someday!

Everything needed was there !

We are a beach family and this place had it all! We were able to use all of the beach supplies at the place to spend the whole day on the beach. It was an easy walk to the beach. The place was well stocked for cooking and so was the laundry room to wash multiple loads of clothes. Everything was labeled and working which made things nice!
