We had a wonderful time - the property was perfect for our young family and friends. We loved the comfortable accommodation, generous back garden, and easy access to the best Portsea has to offer. Our hosts Alison and Kingsley were extremely accommodating and couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we look forward to returning soon!

Thanks so much for your review Michael, we’re thrilled that you had an enjoyable stay,
My cousins and I stayed at this wonderful house in Portsea for one of our cousin's weddings.
The whole stay was amazing, we had chocolate on arrival with a lovely note and the house was equipped with everything we needed. I would 100% recommend this house to anyone and hopefully will reattend one day.
We loved this gorgeous beach cottage that was so close to everything Portsea had to offer. Perfect for my family. The only small issue was the bed configuration. There was only one queen bed not two. Three people in my family over 6 feet tall. Otherwise everything else was perfect for us. We particularly enjoyed both decks and gardens were very relaxing.
Easy access to the Main Street, front beach and back beach all in walking distance. Clean home with all that you need. Great relaxing stay for our family.
The house is in an AMAZING location. Well appointed with everything you need for a lovely holiday. Would be great for two families to stay in. We would definitely return with friends!
We loved our stay here even with a full house of 11 it worked beautifully for us. Light, airy, scandi beach house chic with a lush backyard and fab outdoor deck - perfect for alfresco dining , children’s play and lounging. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. We will he back
The house was perfect for our group of 8. Everything we needed; literally a home away from home. Can’t beat the location close to Portsea pub and the beach.
A very serene time away. A beautiful house. Comfortable bed. Relaxing walks on the Back Beach. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Perfect location. Beautiful cottage, great backyard.Tricky having no internal access...
Lovely house. Would be better to provide linen as we travelled from Sydney and needed a whole suitcase just for linen...downstairs smells quite damp and we were unable to use the room with the en-suite due to this.

Hi Louise, thanks for your review and glad you thought the house was lovely and location was perfect. Sorry that it wasn't clear to you that we could have provided linen if requested. We now provide all linen free of charge to everyone, as it's easier that way. Thanks for the heads up about a damp smell. We've had that professionally tested and sorted out and there is certainly no smell there now. Best regards, Kingsley

Thanks For allowing us to stay at your lovely property
We had a fantastic Easter in Portsea, the house is a few min walk to a lovely oval and tennis courts and only a few min walk the opposite direction to Portsea. The property has a fully enclosed setup so our children could play at leasure and we weren’t worried they would run into road, our children loved the cubby house. Thanks Kingsley for putting out the cubby toys and the swing.
Sincerely
Grigor Cummings

Why they chose this property

What makes this property unique
Things we like to do in the local area • Portsea Hotel / Pub - only 5 minute walk • Front beach – 5 minute walk by cutting through Delgany Ave (one side street toward front beach) to Fishermans Beach which is also referred to as “The Cutting”. This is a lovely bay beach with beach boxes
• Portsea General Store in Portsea Village (5 minute walk down Back Beach Rd) – you can buy nice coffee, bread, muffins, newpapers etc.
• Portsea Oval and Tennis Courts (public) – 5 minute walk is a lovely oval for kids and walk up newly laid tennis courts you can use for free.
• Shelly Beach – this is a lovely beach with shallow water.
• Point Nepean National Park. This is a nice way to spend a day. You can park at Quarantine Station or Gunners Cottage (further toward the point) and take a walk along the paths. You can also take a bus or ride to Fort Nepean where you explore the ruins and get great views across to Queenscliff.
• If you are into your running/ walking you can leave the house, Delgany Ave to entrance to Point Nepean National Park. About 500 meters along the National park road there is a turn off to Wilson Folly Track. This track takes you across the park toward London Bridge and Back Beach .
• London Bridge – pools to swim in or look for shells and sea life
• Back beach cliff walk - Sorrento Back Beach to Blairgowrie.
• Secret cliff top walk – For an up-close glimpse of cliff top properties and lovely view around the bay. Drive along Point Nepean Road toward Sorrento and about 3 kms turn left at Point King Rd. Drive to an area where you can park cars. Walk about 15 meters toward the bay and open a gate in the wooden fence. The path leads passed houses on your left and beautiful views of the bay on your right all the way to Shelly Beach. This is public land that most don’t know about.
• Sorrento Yacht Club beach – about 1 km on the other side of Sorrento. A great beach with shallow water. Buy rolls/snacks from kiosk.
