About this property

Woodstock mountainside retreat, nicest view in the Catskills!! RELAX!!!!

This is our custom built timber-frame post and beam home, built in 2006. Home has a certified short term rental permit from the Town of Woodstock: permit #21N-147. Home is equipped with a stone fireplace, wood stove and wood planked floors. Although there is always plenty of fresh mountain air, the home was built with a custom indoor air 'Lifebreathe System' which continually rejuvenates our home with fresh, clean outdoor air 365 days a year. In 2018, we have installed top of the line Mitsubishi Air Conditioning/Heating split units in all 3 bedrooms in addition to the great room. This non smoking home is loaded with lovely mountain decor. There is a beautiful outdoor stone fire pit surrounded by a stone patio which has a view of the mountains by day and of the spectacular ' Milky Way ' by night. This is a perfect escape for anyone.
The home is located on a private gravel road and secluded mountainside within minutes of town. It offers privacy and amazing views from virtually every room of the home. Master Bedroom has a queen sized bed, bedroom #2 has three twin beds, bedroom #3 has a queen sized bed. Great room has a full size pull out sofa. House sleeps 8.

Huge deck, stone patio, fire pit and large porch overlooking mountains, BBQ grill supplied. Cathedral ceilings and sunny open floor plan downstairs with living room, dining area, kitchen. Screened in porch with propane fire pit table overlooks mountain ranges. Relax and enjoy the wildlife of turkey, deer, bats, birds and the occasional black bear. Children can flip rocks and find numerous salamander and newts.

Gorgeous Mountain View

Fantastic Woodstock Property!

We had a wonderful stay at the house over a long weekend. The property was just as described in the listing, immaculately clean and comfortable for our stay. The location is super convenient to downtown Woodstock and surrounding hiking/outdoors interests. The cherry on top was the incredible view of the mountains from the main living room. Our whole family had a great time and will definitely stay again!

Fantastic property for family gathering.

Loved the property and location. Five of us stayed there comfortably and enjoyed the inside and outside. The property location is isolated but very close to Woodstock. Would highly recommend this property. It has everything you need.

Weekend Getaway

This Woodstock property was perfect for my bachelor party weekend! The house was extremely clean and spacious, with a lovely view from the back deck overlooking the valley (the listing photos don't do it justice). The property is also extremely private, located at the end of a uphill drive. If you are a wildlife lover, we saw a family of black bears (mom and two cubs) walking past the house on our second night, plus visits from a red tailed hawk, barred owls, and bats. Great location from downtown Woodstock, which made popping into town quick and easy. We are already talking about our next trip here!

Rainbows and Deer!!

This home is designed for families and lived up to all our expectations. Sadly it rained Friday night through Saturday. The home became our cozy refuge with children’s fort, baby crawling, College Football on the TV And lots of food grazing. Saturday Eve we were blessed with three Rainbows off the deck and deer in the side yard to the delight of all. Sunday and Monday were gorgeous days with amazing views. We loved it here and will return again.

Beautiful House with a Spectacular View

This was our second stay at this beautiful house! Plenty of space and all of the comforts of home, plus that incredible view! Lots to do in the area (if you can drag yourself away from the back porch!) and some fantastic restaurants in the town of Woodstock! The hosts are lovely and very responsive. We thought we were going to have to cancel our long-anticipated Woodstock trip due to unforeseen circumstances the week we were supposed to go. Debbie let us have the week she had scheduled for herself instead, so sweet! Thanks Debbie, we’ll see you next year!

Perfect mountain house & fantastic owners!

My brothers, our groups of friends and myself were looking to spend Memorial Day Weekend in the Catskills and couldn't have asked for a better house or better house owners. First. the house is an ideal getaway destination, tucked up a bit away from town with a gorgeous view of the mountains across, within a short distance to town and with all of the amenities anybody could ask for in a mountain destination (the outdoor firepit and firewood to use were a personal favorite). Secondly, Rob & Debbie were fanastic hosts, answering all of the questions I have, letting us check-in a bit early and giving me some idea of what to expect for the town. I am very happy that they let us stay at their place and would recommend both the place and the people to anyone who is looking for a great trip away. Might be hard pressed to find the people to fill up the large house again but would love to come back to the house and the area. Thanks again, Rob & Debbie!

Picture Perfect - relaxing cabin

You can not find a better property and cabin in the area! I will start off with the view!! The amazing views of the mountains are more perfect than the prettiest nature picture. We spent a girls weekend at the cabin peeping the beautiful colors of fall. I traveled with my Aunt, Mom and Sister and the cabin was perfect! Though the pictures of the cabin are good…it is soooo much better in person. Super clean, all the necessities of home with all the luxuries of vacation! The cabin was perfect for my Mom with only 1 step to get into the cabin and everything she needed on the main floor. Us girls loved the porch fireplace at night and the wrap around porch with coffee in the morning. Debbie is an amazing host who made everything simplistic. We especially loved the wildlife. We saw deer, birds, squirrels but were particularly found of the chipmunks!! Look no more, this is the place you want to stay near Woodstock! We will be back soon!!

Serene yet close to town

Debbie was fantastic from the first communication. Definitely use the tailored directions provided in her welcome email! Home was impeccable, even more beautiful than in the listing, and the property is incredibly private and quiet. Kitchen was well-appointed, but we didn't use it. Woodstock is full of fantastic little cafes and restaurants and we took full advantage of the variety while in town. The view from the deck is endless tree-covered mountains, and waking up to that view is worth every penny. My son (16) enjoyed the deer, chipmunks, and whatever other critters he came across outside. I also noticed the heat pumps and felt GREAT that it was a more energy efficient home. This was my first Vrbo rental, lived that i didn't get zinged with ridiculous fees and a laundry list of chores to do on the way out. This experience, from the host, to the location, to the property itself, will be tough to top.

This was a girls weekend and what an amazing weekend. The house was even better than the photos. Warm and inviting with attention to detail throughout the home. It made our stay very enjoyable to feel relaxed and comfortable in this home that is in a secluded are with spectacular views of the Catskills. It’s the best of both worlds, secluded yet less than 10 minutes drive to Tinker Stteet.

Great house with the most incredible views! We've stayed at this beautiful home for the past 4 years and love it more every time! You'll find everything you'll need for restful week here. If you like to stay active, there's plenty to do nearby (swimming in The Big Deep swimming hole, cycling the rail trail, hiking the many trails, exploring the village which is just a few min down the road, trying out one of the many great restaurants, listening to live music to name a few) or just stay put, roast marshmallows in the fire pit and enjoy the view of the mountains from the deck. It really IS the best view in the Catskills! The owners are wonderful hosts and are very responsive if you have any questions. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

If you're looking for modern, this is not for you. If you are looking for charming rustic, open, inviting home with panorama postcard views, definitely book this home. 2 to 3 miles to great town of Woodstock with lots of yummy foods and boutiques. We would definitely stay here again!

Stunning View

3rd stay at this beautiful home. Although the weather didn't cooperate we found things to do in the area. Great local restaurants and attractions.Saw lots of deer, wild turkeys and a beaver. Love that..We will be back!!!

Excellent Catskills weekend
