By far, the BEST experience. Absolutely beautiful property, accommodations as described, atmosphere was charming, people are amazing. This was our transition from the road to our new home and it couldn’t have been smoother or better. Terri is a wonderful host and it was so nice to meet her and enjoy her property. Loved the pond and walks into the trees. If you love nature, lots of birds, plants, and even saw some wild oyster mushrooms.

The host was very pleasant and responded quickly when I had questions. The cottage was lovely and perfect for my short stay. It was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed.
Perfect stay for myself and my Sheltie. Terri was very welcoming. The cottage and the surrounding property were perfect in that even though they are located in the city you would never know it. No traffic noise and acres to wander.
We had an amazing time! Our host was welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The cottage was so cozy and beautifully decorated. The walking trails were an added bonus and we enjoyed a morning walk through the woods. We highly recommend it as a relaxing and quiet stay.
If you are wanting a quite place to stay this is it! Check in could not be any easier and I enjoyed my dinners sitting out on the front porch. The little cabin was perfect for me and had everything I needed and more! I would definitely stay again!

Great location. Host were friendly and kind. Thought of everything for the guest in the room. Room was prepared beautifully for the guest. Nature trails were wonderful to walk down and enjoy. Highly recommend!!
Terri was an amazing host. Her property is beautiful, and the cabin was perfect. She is very warm and welcoming and helped me make Lufkin feel like home immediately. Thank you for an amazing stay! Look forward to visiting again!
This is the 2nd time we came back and stayed on this property. Stayed in the opposite cottage this time. It was just perfect for my husband and I along with our little shorkie. Has all you need for a short and sweet stay. Highly recommend and will return again.
inside is nice clean and cozy, a whole lot better than any old hotel room. while outside on the porch at night, you can see the stars and listen to the wildlife nearby.
The cottage was cute and close to everything I needed. I loved that it has a kitchen. As a woman traveling alone, I felt much safer than in a motel, and I loved the peace and quiet. The owner was very friendly. I'll definitely stay there again.
This property was wonderful for me. Since I was travelling alone, the "tiny house" feel was perfect. It would also be perfect for a couple.
My only concern was I really could have used a stair for the bed. It's really high and I'm only 4'9".
Terri is an extraordinary host and the cottage is complete with all the amenities that one could need for cooking, entertaining oneself, and showering. The cabin is beautifully decorated with original artwork. There is a bicycle for riding the trails around the property, outdoor grill and fire pit, even a fishing pole to try your luck in the pond. I loved my stay here, very relaxing being in the country and everything in the cabin so clean and functional. I was here four nights and wish it could have been longer!

About the host
Hosted by Terri Griffin
I traveled frequently for years for business and hated staying in cookie cutter hotel rooms! I really enjoy meeting other people and staying in cool places. I've recently had the blessing of beginning a new chapter as a Vrbo & HomeAway host and I just love it! I love being a mini inn-keeper and sharing my beautiful property with guests!
Why they chose this property
This property was purchased by my grandparents in 1946. I have grown up on this land and raised my family here. My parents and brothers all have homes across the creek from the cabins on our 35 acre family estate.
