Communication with Jenny was excellent, we found the house with no problems and it was even better than we expected. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, incredible views and we had almost non stop sunshine!

The house is simply stunning. Everything you need for a stay in the gorgeous Lynn peninsula. Check in was super straightforward and the property itself spotlessly clean and in the most beautiful setting. Will definitely be looking to make a return visit.
We loved staying there. The place looks better in reality then on the pics. Lovely and clean, a lot of space and big garden.
The only problem was with not big enough fridge however we managed it anyway.

Thank you for the review. Watch this space -a new extension and kitchen are coming. Larger fridge and an en-suite will be part of the new plans by next summer
Loved everything about this cottage. Perfect for a group ranging in ages from 16-81! Jenny & Bryn have thought of everything & made our stay so comfortable. The views to Hell’s Mouth are stunning & so peaceful. We will definitely be back.
It had everything we needed. Very comfortable home.
We struggled a little with the internal stairs (3) along the ground floor on a stone tile floor. A hand towel per person would have been helpful. Beautiful scenery.

Thank you Claire for your review
There are carpet runners all the way down the hall over the quarry tiles as can be seen in the photos. We don’t put that the cottage is mobility friendly because of the deep step in the hall.
There most certainly should be 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per person. I will take this up with the cleaner!
We had a truly memorable time away with family here. The listing doesn’t do the property justice. It’s huge, incredibly well appointed and has breathtaking views from nearly every window.
There wasn’t a sound for miles to disturb your sleep and the furnishings are of a good specification and very comfortable. It happily accommodated our group of 6, 2 more would be easy to fit too.
It’s well located to Abersoch beach and surrounds, has good solid Wi-Fi throughout for the pre teens’ devices and enough equipment in the kitchen to cook up a storm. The bbq appears brand new and worked perfectly.
We’d love to come back some time.

Watch this space -the cottage closes this week for 6 months. We are adding a new glass extension to side of the kitchen which will house a new kitchen and dining area. The old kitchen will become a king size bedroom and the top 2 bedrooms will be knocked together to form a king size bedroom with a new en-suite 🥰
A stunning place to stay and explore the Llyn Peninsula
Bryn Goleu is a beautiful property, with the recent modern kitchen extension really making this a stunning place to stay and maximise the enjoyment of the incredible countryside views. Our family had a wonderful time (despite the wet and blustery storms experienced during our stay!) with the property being comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. The location was great for exploring the coast around the peninsula as well as walks from the doorstep with the dogs.
It certainly lived up to our high expectations, however on arrival we were disappointed to see lots of crumbs in the kitchen, floors that required us to-re-mop, a broken shower bracket meaning we couldn’t use one of the showers properly, and a faulty TV remote in one of the bedrooms making it unusable.
We hadn’t picked up on a few aspects to the property prior to booking that would have been useful to have seen in the details, such as the garden not being fully secure so we had to keep a close eye on our dogs and children, a few steps inside and outside the property that we hadn’t spotted in the photos, and the recently laid new patio having quite a drop off the one side into a ditch with barbed wire (where the patio furniture liked to end up during the storms!) which has no barrier/railing. Not an issue for most prospective holidaymakers but as daughter is visually and mobility impaired, this was quite dangerous for her and meant she couldn’t roam safely, so this would have been useful to know prior to booking.

We are glad you loved the new extension and the incredible views.
We were most concerned regarding the cleanliness of the kitchen and this will be taken up with the housekeeping team. We have very high standards and pay considerably more than we charge our guests for the cleaning and laundry. If you had let us know on arrival we would have asked the cleaner to go back to rectify the problem
TV remote - upstairs. It needed new batteries which we have dealt with now but it was still useable manually when we arrived. Again if we had known we could have directed you to some new batteries!
The shower bracket holding the hand held part of the shower was broken by the previous guests and was not notified to us until the cleaners went in on changeover day it was impossible to source and fit a new bracket in 5 hours but we have now replaced this. The overhead shower and the hand held shower were still fully useable - you just couldn't put the hand shower back on the bracket
The garden has large farm gates and estate fencing and the cottage is situated 1/2 mile up our own private lane. Small determined dogs could perhaps get through the gaps but would only end up in our own rural lane - likewise children.
There is an accessibility (steps) statement on the web site
The barbed wire is in the farmers field and as you have mentioned - down a slope so not actually in our garden. We will speak to the farmer to see if we can make this more user friendly but still safe for his cows.
Bryn Goleu was breathtakingly beautiful and just perfect for our weekend away with family and friends to celebrate a special birthday. It was warm and cosy, very clean and felt home from home.
It was a very special holiday for us 7, our youngest back from.Australia where she lives, our two grandchildren and our eldest and son in law. We had space to chill, we were able to sit 7 of us cosily on the squidgy wonderful.sofas. The two dogs were in heaven. The views were stupendous and the house very well equipped. Only comment is a bigger fridge would have been preferable but everything else was super. We want to return next year with the family and dogs again. The peace and quiet was wonderful. We loved going to Hell's Mouth Beach too. Thank you.
We were two families with young children and loved our time staying at the cottage. Great facilities, clean, homely and spacious with stunning views. Jenny was a fantastic host and easy to communicate with. Only a 15 minute drive to Abersoch and a variety of local beaches.
We had a great holiday. Beautiful house with everything you need. All ages enjoyed the stay. Kids 13-18 years, 4 Adults and 2 dogs. We had fabulous weather all week so bbq’s every night in the large garden with beautiful views and sunsets. Lots to do in the are and so many lovely beaches to choose from. A great holiday thank you.
Excellent stay at this beautiful cottage. The views are amazing and the garden out front let us really enjoy the calm and relaxing surroundings. Everything was lean and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the comfy living room. Beaches nearby and horse riding made it a great holiday
The cottage is lovely. Perfect getaway for two families of four. The location is remote but beautiful. We could even see the sea in the distance and managed a walk to the sea with the children. The near by beaches are a 15 min drive away and we enjoyed a dip in the sea on New Year’s Day!!
Communication with the host was great.
Would definitely recommend
Nicely modernized old welsh cottage tucked into the hill side over looking the valley and the sea. It was great to share this well appointed family vacation home. We were interested to read the history of the property that the owners had found while we sat in front of the enormous fire stone fire place.
Overall a very nice property. Good that they have emergency torches too, as we had a power cut during our stay which wasn't great when you have a young baby. But the place is lovely. Clean, well presented and great shower and bath. I would recommend if you like being away from everything. The weather was awful so we found ourselves blocked at times due to flooding. Personally I would only revisit in spring or summer, but each to their own.
Overall, though, its,a lovely place and we had a very nice stay.

Thank you for your review and feel perhaps we have been marked down to the exceptionally unusual bad weather! We were not made aware of the power cut. I have friends in Abersoch who couldn't get out of their caravan sites. The cottage is used all year round without any problems in normal circumstances and being so high up flooding is not an issue
The house was ideal for our very mixed requirements, a group of friends who like to get together once a year. Wonderful riding just 10 minutes away, fabulous canters along grassy tracks: swimming at Towey beach, totally deserted, beautiful scenery: great coastal walks: scrambling mountain climbs, and wonderful views from the house ; great evenings in the sitting room eating and making and playing music, Lovely times.
Lovely house with amazing views. Very peaceful. Well equipped - coffee maker is a cafetière not a machine which is what I had assumed from the property details. The only downsides were only 1 shower for 6 adults (just a bath in bathroom) which ran out of water if we took too long and had to wait for a while for more water! Also, had to go everywhere by car as too far to walk to any pub/restaurant. Lovely place to relax.

Thank you for your 5* review.
The coffee maker will be replaced with a filter coffee machine when we return at the end of August
In the information for the cottage it is quite clear there is just 1 shower. Unfortunately the joy of being in the country presents other challenges. The water pressure is poor so we purchased our own mini pumping station and now have a powerful shower/water from taps. The consequence of this if 6 - 8 guests try to have long showers one after each other the pumping station cannot keep up. Guests tend to just leave a 10 minutes or so between showers - Perfect
Again the information quite clearly says it is a 10 minute drive to Abersoch and all its amenities, which for most guests is the joy of the place. Beautiful walks from the door surrounded by cows and sheep. If this same quality property was within walking distance of Abersoch in the school summer holidays you would pay around £1300 more - everyone can make that choice. However we do make it quite clear it is up our own private lane in the Countryside and 10 minutes car journey to Abersoch.
I'm glad you liked the house, views and peace.

We live on the Wirral and are passionate about Bryn Goleu. We have 3 girls who are now 31, 29 & 25 who have all lovely memories of Bryn Goleu and also use the cottage with their friends. And us as a family. We have owned the cottage for 17 years and have made many improvements. Each year we up-grade or improve an area of the cottage. 2024 has seen our massive improvement to date. We have added an en-suite room onto a reconfigured king size bedroom and added the most fantastic modern kitchen extension. We visit at least once per month and keep a committed level of maintenance and standards. We are always available to help with any minor problems whilst you are on holiday
Why they chose this property
The views. the peace, the space. A time to chill with either friends and family or just sometimes on our own. We love the Llyn and in particular Abersoch. We are amazed how many people come back to the area time and time again and have their own fond memories from their childhood. We have many returning guests year after year which is a testament to the quality of the property.
What makes this property unique
Spacious, private and quiet. Far enough from the maddening crowd in summer but near enough to drive to - within 10 or so minutes to Abersoch or the other way to Morfa Nefyn. A kitchen you will want to cook in just for the views, fantastic patio to sit with your glass of wine or cup of tea. Enough space to not feel crowded even when 8 guests staying and a beautiful inglenook log burner in the fantastic lounge. Fantastic fire for cosy winter evenings
