Kangaview: watch kangaroos and birdlife from the upstairs deck and living areas
NATURE LOVER’S DELIGHT
* Overlooks tall trees, kangaroos and birdlife * Walk to the beach
Kangaview is a warm and inviting little home that’s big on views and relaxation. We love the elevated deck and central living area that overlook beautiful native bushland. It’s delightful to sit out amongst the tall trees and catch views of the many kangaroos and birds on the adjoining golf course. Please note that only QUIET and RESPECTFUL guests are welcomed here as the neighbours are very sensitive to excess noise and loud music. This place is highly recommended for couples, small families or overseas travellers wanting to experience the sights and sounds of the Australian bush without being too far out of town. You may feel a world away here but it’s just a 10-minute walk to the beach as well as being a short two-minute drive to Dunsborough’s supermarkets, restaurants and bars. It is an older style home but its fully equipped kitchen has almost everything you could need, including a dishwasher and guest wifi. The layout is as follows: all rooms are located upstairs except for a downstairs bedroom with two single beds (with a TV for the kids to play DVDs only, as it's not connected to free to air services). There is also a laundry and toilet downstairs.
This house is at the end of a shared driveway (in a small complex of four homes), with parking for two cars.
PARKING Parking for TWO cars only. NO PARKING for boats or trailers. Two off-street car parking bays at the front of the property. Do not park on the neighbour's side of the complex or obstruct the shared access driveway.
KITCHEN Dishwasher, full range of crockery, cutlery, serving platters, glassware and cookware. Microwave oven, gas cooktop and electric oven. Dishwashing and cleaning items.
LIVING/DINING ROOM TV, DVD player, reverse cycle air-conditioning (heating and cooling). The living room air conditioning unit is large enough to cool the entire upstairs area, including bedrooms. Bose sound system, Guest Wifi.
BEDROOMS x 4 Bedroom 1, Upstairs: Queen bed. Bedroom 2, Upstairs: Queen bed. Bedroom 3, Upstairs: Single bed. Bedroom 3, Downstairs: Two single beds.
BATHROOMS x 1 Bathroom 1, upstairs: Bath, shower, vanity. Separate toilet. Downstairs toilet: The second toilet is downstairs in the laundry.
LAUNDRY Washing machine, clothes dryer, iron and ironing board. Includes toilet.
This is a licensed holiday home with the City of Busselton and the following applies by local law: no more than two cars are allowed at this property. No more than six people allowed on the premises after 10pm. Guests must adhere to the Guest Code of Conduct (displayed inside the home).
Coastal midges and mosquitos are a part of life in the South-West, especially at dusk. They are very attracted to inside lights at night. We recommend that you keep doors and windows without screens closed to avoid insects entering the house. The best health advice is to wear long, loose clothing when outdoors and use insect repellant.
* An easy 30min drive to the Busselton Margaret River Airport.

Location, Location, Location! If a peaceful charming location with kangaroos on the golf course and exotic birds in the garden then this is the place for you. Old Dunsborough beach is a short walk and the town has all the shopping and amenities you could need for a successful holiday.
Had an enjoyable stay here with the family, good spot for a getaway amongst the wildlife. Wouldn't recommend for small children under 4, we had to buy a baby gate after a hospital trip halfway through.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous home. We loved its peaceful location and proximity to the beach. The house had everything we needed and the kids loved having their own retreat downstairs. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Our family included three adults and two teenage boys and this house gave us plenty of room to spread out. Downstairs was cool and quiet. Upstairs could be a bit noisy (from other people inside, outside was very quiet) as there is no separation between the living area and the bedrooms. Kitchen was equipped with basic cooking utensils and there were plenty of mugs and glasses and supplies for the dishwasher and washing machine (much appreciated with lots of water activities. Easy and pleasant walk down to the beach and into the national park or to Dunsborough.
Kangaview most definitely had kangaroos on view! The home seemed out of suburban Dunsborough - the bush views were fabulous, yet it was only a 2km walk into town which was perfect.
It is heated by split systems but was still a bit chilly. A few games or cards would be beneficial or possibly Netflix or similar through the winter.
I would be happy to stay again in summer to enjoy the lovely deck space.
Me and my family stayed here over the new year period and had a great time. The house was clean and well set up
The only issue we had is the neighbours next door complaining about noise when we were outside having dinner on the deck. We were aware the 10pm curfew and it was only 9pm and packed everything up before 10pm and yet they made a complaint about us.
But the property manager handled it very well and was very understanding but just be aware that if you stay here don’t make much noise after it gets dark
Great spot, nice location, kangaviews beyond the yard (through gate) and not from deck. BBQ was good, shower was dated but hot water was excellent. Great amenities, functional curtains, entertainment system better than anywhere we've stayed. Bit of a walk into town but close to beach. Really relaxing. Loved it.
We loved this property as soon as we walked through the door. It was clean bright and welcoming. From there on it only got better. The deck over looking the golf course was perfect and we were visited by parrots during the day and possums at night. Our last evening brought in the kangaroos... just amazing.

Thanks for taking the time to leave such an inspiring review! We're really pleased you enjoyed it there.
A very well maintained property both inside and out. We loved the patio looking out over the golf course and the wildlife plus the seperate downstairs bedroom/entertainment room for the kids. There are excellent mountain bike trails right next door and it’s just a short ride down to the main town or to the beach, playground, boat ramp, fishing spots and bbq’s. This was ideal for our small family and excellent value for money.
Fantastic accommodation which fit our family perfectly. We particularly loved the deck for entertaining, quiet breakfasts and the wildlife which came to visit. Great location for walks to Meelup and riding on the mountain bike tracks . Also appreciative of the air-conditioning. We will definitely keep this place in mind again in the future
