SEA TURTLE SEASON:
- Runs from May 1st through October 31st
- On a natural beach, the lighter seaward horizon guides sea turtle hatchlings to the water. Artificial lights, however, confuse the hatchlings, and they wander inland. Lost and disoriented, they soon die from dehydration, heat exhaustion, or are crushed on nearby streets
- During Sea Turtle Season, all lights must be shielded from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This includes closing blinds and drapes, keeping windows and slider doors closed, and turning off all lanai lights
- TURTLE GLASS IS NOT ENOUGH, IT IS REQUIRED THAT DRAPES ARE CLOSED
- If there is a violation, guests will be responsible for the payment of any fines. There is a $350 fine for the first violation and $500 for all subsequent violations
