About this property
Jaw dropping...a special place for special occasions.
This is a very special vacation property on the desirable north shore of the lake. The owners really know the business, having put their souls into it for over 23 years now...artistic touches throughout. The house offers an expansive view through a wall of windows that look out over the lake and Olympic ridges. Inside, no ordinary walls...all knotty pine. No cheap Ikea...mostly solid, antique furniture. Indulge in the well maintained hot tub. Explore the lake in our canoe. Relax around the fire pit. And what's wrong with a hammock! Situated slightly back from the lake shore, the home offers an intimate, romantic atmosphere with an unforgettable view.
Why choose us over others on the lake: -Views of the soaring Olympic ridges (not visible from the many south-shore properties). -Good privacy (not in one of the many community of homes). -Quick easy access to Hwy 101 (NOT on crowded South Shore Rd). -Communication with guests (emphasis is on service). -Artistic touches throughout (you probably wont discover them all). -Owner operated (commitment to excellence).
Important to note: For convenient parking directly in front of the house, an all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle is required. Happy to advise.
Sincerely, Madi and Randy Adams

Our stay here was nothing short of magical! Even better views in person, a perfect home base for the activities in the area, the home has everything you need for your stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
This is one of the most magical properties we have ever stayed in. The pictures almost don't do it justice. It was a perfect basecamp for our Olympic National Park adventures. We ended each day just sitting on the dock with the most amazing views. Randy's communication is stellar and exceptionally friendly.
Great house, and great view of the lake! We enjoyed just sitting on dock. The house was well stock with everything we needed. Would recommend to others. And the house very close to the park.
This property is virtually perfect in all ways - stunning views of lake Sutherland and extremely well thought out decor. Awesome deck, hot tub and fire pit. I think this place may have spoiled us for anything else. The hosts were spot on with all of their communications and were very friendly. 5 stars all the way around!
This beautiful property may be a little tough to get to, it has a grandnview of the lake, direct access to the water, and is well appointed. The property is clean, well maintained, and the owners have done an amazing job of ensuring you have what you need to relax and enjoy a carefree stay. This spot will be on the too of my list next time I am looking to stay in the area.
We really enjoyed the house. We liked being on the north shore. It made it a little easier to get into Port Angeles for food or into ONP for day trips. Lake wasn’t too busy mid week. Sun was out and we were able to enjoy the dock and decks. Thanks, Randy! Appreciate your communication.
We stayed for 4 nights and had a spectacular time. The house and location are gorgeous, the owner was communicative and helpful... just an A+ across the board. Highly recommend!
The house was perfect! The location can’t be beat! We were able to explore Olympic National Park and come back to the house and enjoy the view of the lake. The hosts were amazing as well!
The house met all of our needs and the views are fabulous! Owner was very responsive. Close to all of the activities in Olympic National Park we spent time enjoying. We would absolutely stay here again for a very relaxing vacation in a natural environment.
This property was amazing! The views were incredible, the lake was a lot of fun and overall created we created so many great memories. We ate every meal at the house outside, all with amazing views of the property. Randy was great to work with and was also conveniently located to everything we wanted to explore. Thank you for a great vacation.
Cozy, very clean, quaint and had everything we needed for a quiet, beautiful weekend on the lake. Would absolutely stay again. Thank you to Randy and Madi for being wonderful and thoughtful hosts.
This amazing property was the perfect weekend getaway to relax and explore Olympic National Park. The location provides convenient access to many areas of park. The hosts have perfectly appointed their property inside and out and the location on Lake Sutherland is so pleasing that you could just as easily arrive and decide not to leave.
This lake house is absolutely stunning. There were so many artistic touches that really made the place unique. Everything was clean and well labeled. A great home base for exploring the national park and surrounding cities. Lake Sutherland was quiet, and serene. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Between Lake Sutherland, Crescent, and Olympic National Park, the house is perfectly situated to access some of the most beautiful wilderness in North America.
Would happily stay again.
I have nothing but praise for our experience at this beautiful home and property. My daughter and I came here for a peaceful retreat and were so pleased to find not only peace but beautiful artwork and comfortable accommodations. The host was WONDERFUL— really made sure we were prepared for the driveway and was just the right amount of involved😊
The house and property were just great...the house was perfect and exactly as advertised. The view of the lake could not have been better. It's a really great, and Randy, the host, couldn't have been nicer and more attentive. I'd recommend this house to everyone
The views from the deck always leave me speechless. This is my favorite place to take a little trip to. The owner is very communicative and friendly. The lake was surprisingly warm despite the autumnal weather, such a gorgeous lake and so close to Crescent Lake as well! The cute house is always very clean and so charming! Always love seeing the cute fishies as well. Will definitely stay again!

About the host
Hosted by Randy Adams
My wife and I have decades in the hospitality business. I have a degree from MSU in hospitality business management, and through the years, as a team, we have helped management several well known bed and breakfasts on the California coast, in Asheville NC, and now here. As well, we are both professional artists and collectors, which shows throughout the house.
Why they chose this property
After getting to know Lake Sutherland, we waited for this property to come on the market. It's rather special. Not just the house, but the setting. Because it's on the north shore, the view out over the lake includes the massive soaring boundary ridges of the Olympics. The house, the setting, the view...wow.
What makes this property unique
This place can't be beat for: 1) Exploring the Olympic National Park. The proximity is fantastic. Some of the best hikes are nearby. Spectacular waterfalls and old growth virgin forests dripping with moss and ferns (Olympic National Park holds the worlds largest temperate rain forest). 2) Enjoying an incredible view right outside your window. Our 'wall of windows' looks out over a jaw-dropping vista of water and mountain scape. 3) Our attention to detail. 4) All the other things to do...day trip to Victoria BC from a ferry right out of Port Angeles, fishing off the dock, or chartering out of Neah Bay...it goes on and on! We are happy to help you plan your moments.
