Great location. The house was perfect and very quiet. My friend and I go to Catalina once a year for a girls' getaway. We have rented before and this one was in a great location, close to beach, shops, bars, and groceries - everyone a girls' getaway needs.

It's super cute, clean and cozy. Excellent location. Close to grocery, no uphill walking. Host was great. No bbq, outdoor sitting area or access to golf cart fyi. 100% would stay again.

Perfect beach cottage

We could not have asked for a more perfect beach cottage getaway! As described, it was all that we needed to relax and easily get to town and back. You won't be disappointed staying here, it has everything you need, and you can't beat the location in the flats. Thank you!

Great beach home. Great for family. Easy access to downtown. Walking or using the golf cart. Floor plan. No A/C, but lots of ceiling fans and air flow, not an issue. Would stay again.

Great Location, just a little dated.

My property manager was fantastic! She was responsive and helpful. The cottage is old, but somewhat maintained. The bathrooms need an update. The rooms were teeny but, workable.

The house was in a great location. And we got to use the golf cart which was nice. But the house wasn’t as nice as we were expecting. It could have used a better clean before we got there. And the pull out couch is small for two adults. Overall it wasn’t bad but also not fantastic.

Close to EVERYTHING!

We couldn’t have chosen a better VRBO for our sisters trip!This home was a close walking distance to EVERYTHING. Vons Grocery Store is only 1 block away. We never even used the provided golf cart. The kitchen had all the needed pots, pans, and dishes needed to cook. The property manager was easy to contact and respond quickly.

False Advertising & Unsafe

First of all, this place does not come with a golf cart like the pictures and other reviews mention. I was misled into thinking this and it really messed up our plans. The property management company is not very responsive and when I did get a hold of them after a few attempts they were not very friendly or helpful. Also, there is a separate upstairs unit that is only separated by a regular door in one of the bedrooms that can easily be unlocked. I accidentally walked into the other unit from our bedroom. You can see how this is not safe especially when traveling with kids. I would not be coming back here or recommend saying here.

Pluses: great location close to everything, good floor plan for family of four, awesome that golf cart was included Minuses: bathrooms need remodel, toilets miniature, rusty gross shower and lighting, lightbulbs throughout were either burnt out or too low, NO hand soap provided, only one roll paper towels, main heater is in front room so bedrooms get cold, no porch so no where to sit outside.

We followed up with the homeowner, who would like to share the following: - The house was built in 1912, but we have done many updates to make it modern and comfortable for guests. Unfortunately, we are not able to put larger toilets in given the size of the bathroom. - I have shared your comments with my cleaning crew, asking them to double-check the handsoap and light bulbs moving forward. - I will also inspect the shower, as I am not aware of any rust. - As is standard in the vacation rental industry, we leave a starter pack of supplies such as paper towels; if guests run out, they are responsible for buying more. - The listing does not advertise a front porch, but if the golf cart is parked on the street, there is room to sit out front. This was our first time booking a home for our stay. We've been traveling to Catalina for off and on since 2015. Initial booking was non refundable, which was fine but i do usually like to book something that gives me a deadline to cancel without fees or book now pay later option. Communication was a tad spotty as i couldn't get ahold of the property manager until morning of arrival when i got an email from verbo/evolve with more detailed contact info. Unfortunately we weren't able to check in early like at a hotel however they did let us leave our luggage but not till 11am and we had arrived on the island at around 9am. This home was very beach themed perfect decor for the location. It felt very homey. Since we booked downstairs we were able to use the golfcart which was awesome to utilize. The real only downside was the wifi and TV options were extremely slow or even not working which with two little ones if we relied on that we would have had a hard time. thankfully i had planned ahead just in case since the island tends to have bad reception we were prepared. The upstairs tenants who were booked our first night were quite but night two there was a louder croud and in the room my daughter slept in, caused her to wake up so the noise in the back room is very loud. Other than that i still would stay here again, the location was perfect not too far and not too close just right. It was nice to say good morning to all the local neighbors too.

We had an excellent stay. Our host allowed us to check in early and check out late. This was huge for us and really enhanced our experience. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised that a golf cart was included in our stay. The house has literally everything you need and is only a block away from Vons. I would definitely stay again.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The property was filthy, broken coffee maker, exposed electrical outlet, outlets that didn’t work, a toilet that was leaking and plumber had to be called. Smelled like sewer but that might be a city problem. If the owner tended the property regularly and cleared out the pipes that might not have been a problem. The owner never responded to our request on a partial refund. You have been warned. STAY AWAY!!! The only positive thing about the rental was the awesome neighbor that lives next door

Perfect spot

Couldn't ask for a better all around experience. The free cart made all the difference! Grocery store 100 yards away, set right on the middle of town. Everything was a very easy walk. Loved it!

Great location!

This is a very good property for a family with a great location (2 blocks to beach and 1/2 block to market) . The place is relatively clean and comfortable (new mattress/pilows in main bedroom). Twin beds are great for kids/teens. Sofa bed was uncomfortable even for my teen. Kitchen also tight for more than 4 (2 additional sets provided at the bar) . Kitchen well-equipped. TV service and wifi worked well. Many fans provided. Appreciated the toiletries. No outdoor lounging space unless you wanted to sit at the sidewalk. Very much appreciated the golf cart for 4! Would def stay again with just the 4 of us.
