Escape the hustle and bustle of Melbourne & discover the tranquility of Lakeside Retreat Nagambie. 90 minutes from the city our house is positioned 100m from the lake. If attending a wedding (Mitchelton winery is a 13 min drive), exploring the wineries, having a family holiday or planning a girl’s weekend our place is the ideal choice. Park the car & embrace the serenity of this stunning location. Our home is in close proximity to the lake, a 5 min walk to the start of the parkrun, beach and foreshore walking track.

A 10-minute leisurely stroll along the Lakeside track will find you at the centre of town where you will be spoilt for choices for food and drink. Try the brewery, Eighteen sixty, one of the local pubs, or enjoy fish n chips overlooking the lake.

The wacky inflatable water park and splash park is a 5 min walk from the house along the lakeside track💦.
You will have access to the estate facilities ( gym, outdoor pool and tennis court).
Lakeside retreat has 3 spacious bedrooms with queen beds. The main bedroom has an ensuite. Fully equipped kitchen and open plan dining/lounge area with a second living area. Rear garden, undercover outdoor area and BBQ.

Our house is in a lovely quiet area, Please respect our neighbours. No parties allowed. If using the Club Elloura facilities please adhere to rules

There is an external security camera at the front and rear of the house. There is no parking for boats/ jet skis.

We loved our stay at Lakeside Retreat - perfect location, clean, very comfortable and spacious, very well equipped kitchen and we felt quite "at home" in the house. Fiona and Richard are great hosts and easy to communicate with, check-in/out is very easy & there is no need to fuss with keys etc! Would love to return, Nagambie is a wonderful area and we enjoyed a beautiful lunch in the restaurant at Tahbilk Winery. 5 Stars to Lakeside Retreat from us (4 Adults - 2 sisters and our husbands who don't see each other often as live in NSW & WA!)

The photo's don't do justice to the property. Very spacious, absolutely everything you could desire is included. Short walk to town, beach, water fun near the rowing club, supermarket, restaurants and we even rode out to the wineries. The information pack/folder at the accommodation was VERY informative.

great communication with Fiona and Richard who also assisted with other questions. The rooms in this home are more spacious than expected in a house of this size. very clean inside and outside. neat tidy and very accessible. some small extras like a few games for adults and kids, also books, some minor pantry items and plenty of linen and towels.

Great House for a Getaway

I do not often give 100% Review but this property deserves it. Had a great stay with 3 couples for a wedding. The kitchen had everything we needed and a nice outdoor area to have a chat, coffee and wine. Loved the easy access on arrival. Boardwalk was great for some exercise and a short walk to town. The only extra I can think of would be a TV in the main bedroom but did not really miss it on this occassion as we were kept quite busy. I also felt confident if anything went wrong (Which it did not)_the owners would have answered promptly. Thankyou Fiona and Richard for the great stay.

Perfect!!! The place was perfect, cannot fault it! Fiona was the perfect host, promptly replying to our messages if needed The backyard was beautiful with all the flowers in bloom, made it even more special Plenty of room for a family barbecue and this is where a lot of our family got ready for the wedding We had our makeup and hair done here, all together, along with fun and laughter and music Fiona even left us a wine bottle for us in celebration for the wedding!! A very easy and lovely stay, the house was very clean and tidy and had everything you needed. Close to shops (short drive) and also a 10 minute drive to Mitchelton winery. Excellent communication with the host. Thank you for a great stay! :)

Back in Time

The Property was excellent, we had a very comfortable stay. My only regret was that Nagambie hasn't changed in 50 years. To accommodate the new home owners in the area the infrastructure needs to improve dramatically. A lack of restaurants is obvious. I understand things are tough but $20 for a large container of Fried rice is ridiculous. The standard of take away for dinner was poor. Just my opinion.

Very well appointed house in a quiet residential estate. A pleasant and easy 10 minute walk along the lake to the centre of town. Very short stroll to a small "beach" on the lake. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend this property.

Fiona grew up in country Victoria & Richard is a Kiwi who grew up in the wine region of Marlborough.

We have loved creating Lakeside Retreat Nagambie and hope you enjoy our little slice of paradise as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We have always enjoyed stopping in Nagambie for a coffee or a bite to eat on the way to visit family. In 2019 an opportunity arose and we purchased what we now call Lakeside Retreat Nagambie.
It has been amazing to see the town grow and become a destination for great food, wine & recreation.

What makes this property unique

We love that you can park the car in the garage and embrace the beauty of lake life. The lake is a 1 minute walk from Lakeside Retreat.

Walking into town is around 10 minutes.
You will be spoilt with options for great food, wine and coffee. The walk is along the edge of the beautiful lake.

The wacky splash park, water park, beach, foreshore walk and parkrun start are all a 5 minute walk from the house.

Travelling to a wedding or function-Mitchelton and Tahbilk wineries are a 10-15 minute drive from Lakeside Retreat
