Brought a group of people here for a quick weekend retreat. We were incredibly pleased with the amenities and the location (there's a karaoke machine!!). Looking forward to coming again.
We had a lovely weekend. The location is great. Beautiful views of the reservoir. We loved the feel of the space, the hot tub, the game room, many bathrooms, really nice kitchen, and the deck. Even though it rained most of the time we were there, we really enjoyed ourselves. The very steep driveway was a surprise but we managed. We’d definitely return for another visit.
The property and house were beautiful. The owner was very responsive. We would definitely stay here or at another of their beautiful properties nearby again.
Owners were very accommodating, the house was beautiful and spacious and there were maybe activities to do for all age ranges, beautiful backyard right on the lake amazing dock would definitely recommend going
The property was newly renovated and had a ton of space to accommodate our group. The interior remodel was beautiful and the bathrooms were brand new. The back yard and lake were great with all the life vests, kayaks, floats, fishing poles available as advertised. Thanks!
Our family vacation was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of a homey atmosphere, a delightful hot tub, a lively game room, impeccable cleanliness, and the unexpected joy of karaoke made this stay one for the books. We left with hearts full of gratitude and a treasure trove of wonderful memories. If you're looking for a place to create lasting family moments, this vacation rental is the perfect choice.
This is the perfect house to rent for a getaway with friends
This is a great house to rent. Very clean and well taken care of. We all had our own bedroom with bathrooms a lot of fun playing pool singing karaoke and relaxing in the hot tub. Would recommend thi house for a family or friends vacation
We had perfect weather which just added to the beauty of the property. The host thought of everthing from the fire pit and chairs, to lounge chairs by the water, even a banquet table to eat by the water. The hot tub is in a perfect place to enjoy the view. The bathrooms are new and so pretty. The living room is comfortalbe with widows overlooking the property. The kitchen is fully equipped. The lawn games and gameroom added to the fun!! We would go back!
Too bad we were only able to rent this for the weekend. Great view of the lake & surrounding forest. House was clean & had a lot of room for our 2 families. Host Craig was available throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the stay & would rent it again in the future.
Overall we had a great stay at the property. We were concerned that we received a message that the property was undergoing renovations before our trip, however they were all positive renovations! There was work being done that morning so we did find some dust, however I am positive that once these renovations are completed, this will be an incredible stay! The host was very responsible and answered questions quickly. The house was beautiful!
The house and grounds are lovely and the lake view is beautiful. Craig was very responsive to all our needs. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, which was nice for our group of 7. The house next door is very close so it does not feel very private or quiet, but if that doesn’t bother you it’s a great place to stay.
What a treat! Such a lovely lake, so many little boats to play with and a nice dock to dive into the warm water. The house is spacious and the games were fun to have. The house manager was very nice and communicative. Will be headed back for our next east coast vacation in 2024!
We had a great time! Plenty of space for everyone. Lots of things to do inside and out. The owners were very communicative. The property was a little steep for our parents in their 80s. Other than that, it was a fun week!
This property was so awesome, I can’t describe it in words. It had everything we needed and more! The property owners and manager were great! The home, view and amenities inside and outside were beyond our expectation. The lake and our easy access to it was the greatest part of the trip. Everyone in my group were happy and we all had life changing experiences! We thank Craig and Katie for their hospitality and we will DEFINITELY be back.
My family (7 adults, 4 children, 1 infant) had a great week at Swinging Bridge Reservoir! This was our 2nd time here and we loved it as much as last year. Property listing is accurate and Property Manager Craig was quick to respond. Weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the lake every day, but there was plenty to do in the house as well (games, puzzles, pool table, etc). House is not fancy, but so much space for all of us. Highly recommend!
The property was newly updated with all new (6 total!) bathrooms, furniture and linens. It was a great place for our mini family reunion with the long dining table, game room, hot tub, lake access with kayaks. Food stores/restaurants are a quick 15 minute ride.
Check in was easy & Craig was very responsive to our needs. The only negative for light sleepers is that the walls are thin/you can hear footsteps or voices of housemates. Some fans & phones were used to fix that. But that’s it. It was private, comfortable, spacious, fantastic.
Very pleasant and accommodating owner allowing us some flexibility regarding check in time and even managed to find us a rowboat for the older visitors in lieu of a kayak.
The home was spacious, comfortable with lots of baths, bedrooms and hanging out space. The dining room table was big enough for all of us to enjoy dinner.
We enjoyed a fire one evening and caught fish from the dock and from the rowboat. Motor boats are allowed on the lake/reservoir.
The neighborhood was quiet and safe with similar homes nearby. The view is spectacular. I plan on renting again.
Our group of 10 friends collected at this house for the weekend. The place was exactly what we wanted. There were seven bedrooms and many had their own bathroom. Plenty of space for everyone to have a great time. The back area and firepit are a definite highlight. Each evening we collected out back for a nice pleasant fire. The kitchen is well stocked with implements, dishes, and utensils. The steep driveway and parking were not a problem either. We are already discussing a return for next year at the same time of year.
The property owner, Katie was very responsive and accommodating. She allowed us to check in early and check out late if we wanted. I did think it was odd that she just left the door unlocked and didn't meet our party upon check-in.
The house is being renovated to a certain extent and I would have liked to have known that before we rented the property. The backyard had just gotten a new bulkhead, and so there was no grass down by the waterfront. There was some wooden scaffolding around a portion of the second floor - but it didn't impede the view.
The house was ok - the inside is exactly as noted in the description. It was very well kept. Comfy beds and bedding. My only two complaints... 1. the kitchen sink had almost no water pressure. Katie sent someone over immediately however, he was unable to correct the issue. 2. The basement had a slight musty smell, which we could have easily overlooked, but one of the bathrooms in one of the bedrooms downstairs had a horrible septic odor. That entire bedroom and part of the hallway were affected by the smell. This was really unacceptable in my opinion. The smell was horrible and no one wanted to sleep in that room on the second night.
It seems like the owners are trying to upgrade the property, but it's likely better if they keep it off the rental market until everything is completed/cared for.

Why they chose this property
There is something special about being on the lake. Days filled with family fun on the water quiet evenings listening to the sounds of the lake and nights sitting around the bonfire laughing and hanging out.
What makes this property unique
Fun inside and outside the house makes this a great option for family reunions and groups of friends. With all of the activities there is no need to leave the house but if you want there are great hikes and attractions nearby.
