The cabin was in a perfect location, weather was great. We are porch type people, the front porch/ deck area was fantastic. We loved the interior of the cabin as well, nice kitchen, and living area including the pool table. We are hoping to reserve it again in the fall. We loved our stay.

Mini mountain vacation a success!

I decided to plan a small weekend getaway for my partners birthday. Limehouse Cottage stuck out to me, mainly for the pool table (which was well cared for) but it was so much more! It is nestled away in a quaint neighborhood that is beyond peaceful; and only a few minutes away from the main Maggie Valley strip. The cottage was also very clean and the beds were incredibly comfy. Kelie, the host, was accommodating and communicate Although we didn't have many questions after arriving as there are well written notes explaining the amenities of the house and how they work. There were also many things labeled throughout, which was appreciated. Overall, I would stay here again happily!

This property is a real gem. It is so clean and neat you would think you are at home.

Perfect Mountain Escape!

We reserved this adorable creekside cabin nestled in the mountains as a desperately needed escape from work. It was everything we hoped it would be and more! The cabin was easy to locate but felt very secluded in the best possible way. We were greeted with the sound of beautifully rushing water from the nearby creek every waking moment. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay and great instructions were provided by the homeowner, Kelie, for all the systems and amenities. Kelie was wonderfully gracious and very responsive to our every question prior to and throughout our stay. We would definitely return to stay in Kelie's magical mountain retreat again!

Lovely week in the quiet mountains!

This was just what the doctor ordered. Quiet, comfortable and relaxing. I would not recommend arriving after dark on your first day. The blind drive on Deer Creek Trail is challenging but ok if it's light. Also, I would not recommend going there in the winter if there is ice or snow in anything less than a 4x4. We got lucky in our all wheel drive with no ice or snow. I wouldn't chance that again... we will go in the summer. Everything is there that you need for a wonderful week. AND, THE MOST COMFORTABLE BED EVER!!!!!

a property with potential but didn’t enjoy the stay

We’ve stayed at many Vrbo and this was the most negative experience. The road to this property is on a narrow and sloped road with no lights, so if the weather is bad, it might be problem. There is security camera on property that the host is watching while you’re staying there (feels like a lack of privacy). The heater was broken in the guest bedroom. No paper towels were there even though we requested for them, so we had to go buy our own. Throwing trash bags out were hassle. You have to dump trash at designated area, at least 10min driving distance. We had to bring those garbages at our car several times during our stay to empty all trash out. The pool table, full size refrigerator, comfortable bed at a master bed room, washer and dryer at unit were good.

We've used VRBO for years and this is the cleanest unit we have ever stayed in. It has everything you need and very comfortable beds. We loved walking the neighborhood and meeting some of the neighbors. Kelie (the home owner) goes the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your stay. We felt like we were renting from a friend. We were also fortunate enough to meet Shirley (the caretaker of the property) and her husband. Such nice people that do a great job. Thanks for sharing your house !

19th Anniversary

My husband and I fully enjoyed our stay at Kelie's creek side cabin. Maggie Valley is a beautiful place to enjoy, but the quiet comfort of a clean cabin to return home to was the icing on the cake. We could have driven the Blueridge Parkway all day. We adventured on several hikes to waterfalls in both NC and TN. We also enjoyed a beautiful short drive to Ashville. There are so many possible activities nearby that we left ourselves much adventuring to experience upon a return trip. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

I am from Charleston, SC where I used to love visiting the Maggie Valley area and decided to buy the Limehouse Mountain Cottage in February 2020 (yes, just before Covid). It is my dream to have 2 homes that are in the mountains where I love to hike. I love cooking and dinner parties, so a well equipped kitchen is a must, a good grill is essential and I'm still looking for the perfect wine rack. I also love to shoot pool and had never owned a pool table, so for me, this was a must and

Why they chose this property

I love the security of the Country Club Estates but on an acre of land, I have some privacy. I love that I can walk out the front door and enjoying hiking and wildlife.
I always dreamed of having a pool table front and center (not in a basement, not on a third floor) where you can enjoy playing pool with people in the kitchen or while enjoying the fireplace.

What makes this property unique

3300 Elevation stays cool pretty much year round. Listening to the creek just 15 feet from the house is so soothing. To sit on the deck and listen to music with the creek in the background while enjoying a nice glass of wine - well, that's heaven to me :)
