My friends and I stayed at Nella’s house for a long weekend for skiing. It was the perfect location, comfy, cozy, and clean! We hope to stay again next year!
We had a fabulous weekend staying in this very well kept Farmhouse. The home is stunning & a very homey and comfortable vibe. The hot tub and fire pit were a highlight for us. The property is stunning and very well kept. The kitchen has everything you need and the beds are all super comfortable. I am so happy to have found this gem. The Host Nella is wonderful. Her communication with me was great. She responds very quick. I could not have asked for a better place to stay and can’t wait to return.

Thank you so much Catherine. You are welcome anytime. Nella.
First, Nella is the perfect host. She communicated in a timely way, checked in on us to make sure we were doing alright and even left us a thoughtful welcome gift. The house itself is just lovely. We watched the sunset from the hot tub, cooked meals in the beautiful (and fully equipped) kitchen and had our morning coffee in the garden area. The house is close enough to everything, but feels remote and private. We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back. Thank you Nella for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Jennifer and guest were the perfect guests. I would have them return to my home anytime in the future. They left the house clean and organized.
My husband and I gathered with our adult children and their partners over the holidays for a week of family fun and relaxation at the host's Vermont farmhouse. The host, the home, and the location were perfect - a better gift we could not have given nor received!
There was plenty of space for all to gather or to be alone, internet allowed those who needed to work remotely to do so, the kitchen was well-stocked and appliances were in excellent condition, the dining area was large enough to have large family dinners each night, the beds were comfy, our dog was allowed to join us, the slopes of Stowe were an easy drive away for daily skiing, the location was private, yet not too far from town, and most importantly, the host was kind, thoughtful, and communicative. Even through an initial period of uncertainty due to severe weather and power outages, the host communicated weather, travel, and home availability status regularly.
Thank you for sharing your home with my family!

It may sound strange to gush about the outdoor areas of a property first, but hey, it’s summertime so where else are you going to spend your time? Nella has designed several relaxing oasises from a tented deck to a sitting area with bbq to a fun fire pit where we made s’mores and looked at the stars.
The house lives like being in someone’s primary home (which it is) as opposed to a dedicated rental property so It’s filled with a great selection of books and homey elements. The kitchen is large and we cooked in most meals (the market is not far away). I was nervous when I realized there was no microwave but it wasn’t an issue at all. We always bring our own knives (yeah a little weird) but we’ve learned over the years there are certain items that are worth bringing higher quality than what many rental properties have. I’d also recommend bringing storage bags and containers as well. Don’t take any of this to mean that the kitchen isn’t well appointed we’re just particular about certain things.
Some bedrooms have only shears or no blinds so if that’s an issue for you then bring a sleep mask. One bedroom doesn’t have a closet so you may end up sharing with someone else. Not a big deal. All the bedrooms have AC but there isn’t any downstairs. We were so fortunate with weather that it didn’t matter but I could imagine during a heat wave it might be toasty. We moved the standing fan from upstairs to the dining room a couple times.
Lastly, there’s no garbage pick up so we had to take out trash and recycling to the dump in Stowe (10 mins or so) and you do have to pay for that.
The location is STELLAR and Nella was very responsive to any inquiries. We had a great time and can’t thank Nella enough for welcoming us into her lovely home. Definitely recommend!

Thank you for the review. Yes it is hot in the summer and central AC. is difficult in an old farm house. I’m glad you felt ‘at home’ and enjoyed the outdoor spaces. Yes no trash pick up. My husband and I are only ones so I do not have a service but with longer stays in the heat of the summer it is the best way to keep the bears away.
You left the house beautifully and I really appreciate that. I would recommend you and Betsy any time.
Thank you again. Nella
Rental was a breeze and we had an enjoyable stay with flexible check in and check out process. Really enjoyed being set back from town in private location, but just a short drive to all the shops and destinations.

The stay was great! Nella was very responsive with any questions we had. Hot tub was amazing! There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and sleep as well.
I stayed here with a small group of friends. It was an amazing experience. The house was clean, perfectly organized, and the reading nooks were plentiful. I highly recommend staying here.

Daniel and friends were wonderful guests. They left the house clean and were very respectful of my home. I highly recommend Daniel and friends into any persons home.
This lovely home is the perfect place to escape to for some rest and relaxation! The host is very responsive, and left notes for just about any question you might have, along with fresh fruit, breakfast supplies and lovely VT towel! The house and the property (gorgeous gardens with a Huge Barn) are charming, we walked all over the area with our dogs and to look at the views which were outstanding!! Bedrooms & Baths are comfortable, sitting areas were warm and inviting. Plus a Hot tub to enjoy after a long day - everything was great. We look forward to booking a winter trip for skiing!!
