The Neighborhood
This home is located in Salt Lake City's Marmalade District on the west side of Capitol Hill. An extremely walkable neighborhood, the Marmalade District was named so because early street names reflected the fruit-bearing plants and trees imported and planted there by its early residents. Settled in the early days of Salt Lake City, the Marmalade District is distinguished from other neighborhoods by mature landscaping and a surprising variety of vintage residential buildings. Within a single one-block area are almost as many styles of architecture as exist in the entire Avenues Historic District.
Getting Around
Ideally located just a 15 minute walk from downtown Salt Lake City. The local UTA Trax station is just a few blocks away.

We loved staying at this VRBO! No problems whatsoever and had everything we needed! Appliances are updated and well kept and each bedroom was exceptionally clean! Master bedroom was so comfortable!
Amazing house and experience for our gathering. Very spacious place, well kept, such an incredible location for access to great food, trails, access to airport, etc.
We used the house for a Board retreat, and this house offered plenty of beds along with enough rooms to give people privacy when needed. House was as described and owners were responsive when queried.
When we entered the room, there was a noticeable smell of disinfectant, but it faded after a while. The room was spacious enough, and the beds were clean. We were able to cook proper meals in the kitchen, although the stove’s flame was a bit.
The house is absolutely adorable and has such cute architecture. There was plenty of room for all of us and large hangout areas. Parking was great and a pretty quiet neighborhood. The house was pretty clean, the only thing we noticed were a couple spider webs throughout the corners of the house. The curtains in the house are so cute but they dont block much sunlight out and woke most of us up at 7:30am. Plenty of beds and pillows, no complaints about the beds. We really liked that each room had a portable AC so we could adjust what temperature we each like. Overall would definitely stay again!
Easy to find. Lots of parking in the back of the house. House was well perpared to host a large group. It was close to the Huntsman Cancer Institute which was the reason for our family's stay. Thank you for opening your home to us we really appreciate it.

Great house!
It was perfect except we had problems getting the heat to work. We were there such a short time that we just dealt with it.

The induct draft motor started failing on the furnace. As soon as we became aware of the issue we had it repaired immediately. Although we are maticulous about maintaining the home we do not reside there so we aren’t always the first to catch maintanence problems. The issue is now 100% resolved. In the future we would prefer to be made aware of any issues so we can resolve it to the complete satisfaction of our guests.
We loved our weekend with our 3 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, and 2 granddaughters! Many meals around the large dining table, movies in the living room, and hanging out in the kitchen! Loved the personality of each bedroom and could have spent hours imagining the family that built and lived in the home. We will return. Location is perfect for being close to downtown without being right in the middle of downtown.
We came for a concert for my sisters a birthday. Unfortunately our concert got cancelled but this home gave us a gathering place and opportunity to spend time together. The home is charming and huge!! There were 11 adults and we all had ample space to relax and sleep. The beds are comfortable, space is clean. There is a large deck at the back of the house that was great! Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely house, very clean. Beds were comfortable. Nice kitchen, lots of room. We really enjoyed our stay. My only complaint was lack of communication. I sent messages that weren't answered and called once and received no call back. Everything turned out ok but communication is key to a great stay.
What a great "home" for a SLC visit. six senior (60+) guys got together for the NCAA tourney at the Delta center. Walked everywhere Delta Center, Temple Square, Gateway Plaza. There's a coffee shop/Deli on the corner. Everyone had their own comfy, large bdrm. The house is a combo of Victorian and Modern Farmhouse; awesome kitchen. Even the bathrooms were nicely appointed. As the title says, it was "home" as soon as we walked in. The dining room led to enjoying great meals and conversation. Would definitely stay again!
We arrived later in the evening when we checked in. Smooth process. Online the pictures don’t do justice. This house is marvelous!
Built in the 1900’s~ lots of energy & rich history. This mansion must have been so fun to live in with a family of 6 or more. Our group enjoyed the neighborhood, close walking to some local coffee shops& small bites to eat. Some parts of the house need some extra TLC. The deck outside was a nice touch. Wouldn’t hurt if it got a fresh stain.
Overall we loved this house, plenty of space and room for large groups.
Really clean, adorable inside, home. This may have been the most well-equipped home we’ve stayed in. It had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable and homey. We would definitely stay again!
We had a great time and loved the location as we walked into the city each day. The house was clean and cozy. We all agreed that we would totally book again the next time we come into town.
