Welcome to Starfish Stays. Our little piece of paradise is a sort walk to a pristine private beach on the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This totally renovated Key West inspired studio is setting the standard on Manasota Key as one of eight units at Starfish Stays on the unique Manasota Key of Southwest Florida.

Starfish stays is an easy jaunt to the beach for gorgeous morning walks, shell and shark teeth collecting, swimming, sitting under an umbrella, basking in the sun or watching the most beautiful sunsets of the Gulf. Plenty of complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels in the unit. Two custom built outdoor showers hit the spot to rinse away the sand and salt. We make it easy for you to relax and enjoy your vacation.

The grounds of Starfish feature a beautiful pergola complete with gas fire pit, bbq, cornhole games and seating for eight!

The fantastic Stump Pass is 3 miles south of the property. Here you can fish, hike the nature trails, launch a boat or kayak or just relax on the secluded beach. Stump Pass is an excellent location for finding shark teeth. Parking is only $3 per day.

Blind Pass is one mile north on the key. There are nature trails, docks for fishing, kayak launches, and playground and picnic areas. There are public restrooms and outdoor showers as well as more beautiful beaches. Parking is free here and abundant.

Starfish Stays was completely renovated inside and out. Our property features 8 total vacations units. 2B is brand new and was completed March 2020. Everything is new down to the stainless appliances, queen size beds and custom countertop. Starfish 2B boasts two brand new queen beds, one in each bedroom, and a sofa bed w/ upgraded brand new memory foam full size mattress for added comfort. We offer a fully stocked kitchen, full bathroom, and all linens.

Starfish Stays has eight units on the same property! Four two bedroom units, 3 studios, and a one bedroom unit. We can accommodate larger groups in several units.

We have our own private beach access, a TWO minute walk to the sand. Looking to avoid the big beach crowds? Our private beach is wide, sandy and PRIVATE.

The unit was perfect for the 5 of us. The first night we had my family over to sit around the fire outside. It was perfect! They had a beach wagon and beach chairs for us to use as well as all the beach towels! It's a nice short walk to the Gulf&we found a lot of sharks teeth there. It is definitely more acceptable during low tide. Everything in the unit worked and was great! We would rent this place again!

Absolutely perfect escape

This property was a dream! It had everything you would need and more. Short walk to the beach and the outdoor shower was very useful after walks on the beach. We will definitely be back to stay here. We loved the fire pit area, and the outdoor deck. We just wish we could’ve stayed longer. Scott and Paula were very quick and pleasant to message.

Great place and location

We stayed here for a week over spring break. Was wonderful! clean place, comfortable stay, and well stocked with beach items (umbrella, chairs, kids beach toys and boogie boards). Loved how close we were to the beach, just across the street. had very nice little sitting deck, and bbq area too. Would def recommend!

Peaceful retreat

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is nice and includes everything we needed to prepare and eat meals as a family. Communication with the host was excellent and the virtual key worked very well. The beach is a short walk across the street and very nice. Overall we had a great time there!

Amazing trip!

Great stay from start to finish. I have zero complaints. This was probably the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. My kids had the best time and the walk to the gulf was super short. We could hear the waves from the balcony. Amenities were awesome! Cant wait to come back!

Clean, cozy & Great location within walking distance to beach. Everything was brand New. Scott the host was extremely fast in responseand super easy to work with. Clayton the house keeping guy (which unfortunately we didn’t meet til leaving last day) was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. I’d give this place 6 stars out of 5 if I could. Will absolutely stay here again!!!

Dog Friendly, BUT!

This is a dog friendly property - which was completely accurate. However, upon arrival we learned the beach is NOT dog friendly. There is a trail at Stump Pass State Park that allows dogs. It's the only place we found for a substantial walk - although we did see some folks sneak their dog on the beach after dark at the public access about a mile north of the property. As for the bungalow - we enjoyed this unit. Short walk to the beach, surprising quiet at night, well-stocked kitchen, overall comfy space.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

My family loved this amazing beach vacation rental—it is pet-friendly and surpassed all expectations! Just a short walk to the sand makes it easy to pop back and forth all day. The unit was spotless, spacious, and beautifully coastal-themed. The kitchen had everything needed and more for preparing meals, even a Keurig with K-cups. We also enjoyed nearby seafood spots recommended by our hosts. The cozy living area was great for movie nights, the bedrooms had soft linens, and there was an abundance of super soft towels, even beach towels. The deck off the living room with comfy furniture was ideal for reading a book or just enjoying the sunshine.The property includes an awesome outdoor area with hammocks, grills, and a pergola featuring a swing, bar seating, Adirondack chairs, and a fire pit—our nightly hangout with other guests. Strong Wi-Fi and Roku TV allowing our personal login was a bonus.The beach was stunning and peaceful, perfect for swimming, shark tooth hunting, and shell collecting, with gorgeous sunsets to cap each day. Scot and Paula were fantastic hosts - quick to respond and left us a fun welcome gift. We’re already planning our return! Highly recommend this hassle-free beach gem!

The apartment was very nice. Clean comfortable and right across the street from the beach. The only problem we had was finding our access to the beach. Every thing said private property. Once we realized we just had to go through the man gate, on the restricted gate..it was very easy to reach the beach. The private beach was so nice, not overly crowded. Perfect for spot for a sunset. We would definitely rent this property again. Quick communication from the owners.
