We stayed here as part of a group for a church retreat! The lake view from the living room was magic! The tranquil feeling of the lakefront is definitely present! While everything is dated it provided everything we needed for our large group! The amenities the cabin provided were pleasant and enjoyable!Take the leap and jump in! Pun intended.
The house was very peaceful and comfortable, perfect for making memories with the family, the host Angela was very helpful and friendly, Angela responded very quickly, I loved the nostalgic feeling of the home, felt like being at grandma’s house. The frozen lake was beautiful but I would love to see it during the summer.

Great location on the lake. Very accommodating for large groups. Cleanliness definitely needs to be improved as well as lower level odor.
Being Black in a predominantly white community our Stay was pleasant, great view, fishing and atmosphere. Most neighbors were welcoming however stayed to themselves. Local Businesses were very friendly and welcoming. Owners were excellent host as well. Will love to comeback again one day.
Yea, the house is on the older side, but we knew that when we booked so it wasn’t a surprise. Description was very accurate and the house is HUGE. Plenty of space for our party. The owners were so accommodating and had even more amenities then we thought!
This place will take you back to visiting your grandparents in the 90’s. A colorful home with plenty of space for everyone. A ton of light with the best view of the lake. My family and I had a wonderful time here. She shows her age but she still has so much to offer!!

Overall
The lake is great the house was big enough however the carpet was very dirty, pots and pans are old and scratched up, not enough chairs for dining room table. When it rained the basement bedroom carpet got very wet and sand came in . No AC
Our family had a great stay at this retro get away for labor day weekend. There was more than enough room for all of us. We were all able to have our own room/space to sleep. The property manager was quick to respond with any questions we had and let us in as soon as we arrived. The house it self could use some updating but overall no complaints! The yard was well kept and the shallow water in front of the break wall was soft and sandy. We enjoyed a fire each night down by the water. Would absolutely recommend this property to other large parties or families that love the lake life.
We enjoyed having the outdoor space for 4 families. Our kids had space to float near the dock and the kids were all able to touch because the water was shallow. The fire pit and grill were also very nice. Although there is no air conditioning it was pretty cool at night and we were done without it. The rooms were all decent besides the bunkroom which had less than ideal mattresses and was very damp. But for the space and lake front stay we made it all work and was within our budget

I didn't stay in the home, my adult children and grandchildren did. I stayed nearby. I visited the property and heard my children's comments about their stay.
Although there is no air conditioning, it was only uncomfortable for 2 of the 7 nights of their stay during the 4th of July. The property description does state there is no air conditioning and the lake air and fans do help cool down the house, but not enough on really hot and humid days.
The owner of the property encouraged communication before and during our rental. When we had an issue, she immediately presented solutions and/or options for a resolution.
With the owner's permission, we checked in early. As a result, the cleaning crew may not have had enough time to do a thorough clean. So, before we could put food in the fridge and freezer we had to clean them first. My children didn't think to look in the dishwasher, so they didn't realize there were coffee cups and other dishware in it and wound up buying or borrowing them elsewhere.
Fishing off the dock was easy for beginners. All of my grandkids caught a fish (ages 2 to 13) in less than five minutes a piece.(not keepers). There is a pubic boat launch across the lake that we used to get a boat over to the dock. The lake is huge and allows for all types of motorized water activities
My children said they would stay there again... in the spring or fall.
Upon arrival AT check in time, “her husband “ was still mowing the lawn…. Which left loose grass all over the entryway to be immediately tracked inside and of course the yard was full of loose grass. Considering the draw was water front, you spend a lot of time outside and each time anyone went into the house tracked in said grass. And you are expected ti leave the place EXACTLY as you found it. Then there’s the absolutely filthy windows overlooking the lake. Out of the two sliding glass doors downstairs, the one that they didn’t have blocked by a couch has no handle at all. Tissue stock in the handle holes. As for sleeping arrangements, GOOD LUCK! The room with the bunk beds was an afterthought, it is tucked in behind the laundry and you will need to search to find it. No windows and no lighting at all. The master suite was acceptable but the one other bedroom upstairs, the bed was so hard you are best to sleep on the floor. Two bedrooms downstairs are equal to sleeping on a foam mattress cover. You will need exceptional night vision, must lights throughout the entire house do not work, seriously! Recliners are broken and lean to the right……. Sofa table is broken and barely standing. Dining table, a total joke!!! You are accommodated by two captains chairs that are broken and lean whichever direction you choose. The rest of the chairs are hard plastic some type of chair! It is dirty and ridiculously dated and not properly cared for.
The first thing we did was open ALL the doors and windows, after the high-grade mind numbing smell of the air freshener wore off we enjoyed the damp musty aroma of MOLD and Mildew. The lower level bunk room was disgusting and uninhabitable. Closets were filled with owners random junk but at least the closets smelled too. There was a rug hiding a hole in the floor that one of our guests tripped in, because, yea, she couldn’t see the Hole! There are NOT 2 fully equipped kitchens, there is barely even ONE kitchen. Pots and pans are missing handles, lids and knobs, Teflon is significantly scratched, pans should be tossed. Did I mention there was MOLD? No Keurig. 8 dining chairs 2 were broken. Basically no hand soap, majority of towels are rags. Toilets are loose and rock back and forth. The Grill was old and worn, which really Didn’t matter because there was NO PROPANE PROVIDED, owner suggested refilling at dollar store. Carpet was filthy, stained and disgusting, we wore shoes inside all the time. Blinds, shades, curtains, old ripped and dirty. Windows were not cleaned. On the plus side, at least there was a pencil sharpener in the garage.
We had collectively flown in or drove from various distances. (although2 guests slept elsewhere) we stayed because we had Labor Day weekend planned out on this Lake. Jet skis, pontoon boat, poker run. Nothing else was Available on such short notice. This Place should NOT be listed ANYWHERE as a rental.

We have replaced the water-damaged walls and revamped the bunk room! We are in the process of replacing the lower-level carpet. We have an extra gas tank for the grill out in the garage. The two kitchens are now fully stocked once again. We have replaced the upstairs curtains. The windows are tri-pane and they are cleaned. We have our cleaning company restock the soap and paper towels and toilet paper each time renters check out. We have a small coffee maker as well. Thank you for your input and we look forward to the changes:)!

Ice fishing trip 2026. The host was responsive and seemed very pleasant. The home itself served the purpose for our guys trip. It was a large home but is in need of some tlc. Overall we arent a picky group and had a good trip.
We drove 6 hours to try to see Dr.Pol. And succeeded.
The property does need more tvs. The kitchen could use new pans to cook. Pulling right into the garage was very nice. It was very spacious and the deck out back was great to watch the water. Floor to ceiling windows and window in kitchen with lake view was perfect. My family had a great 3 day trip. We would stay here again.
Spent the weekend with a group of us consisting of 4 different families and kids ranging from 6 months old to 9 years old. Plenty of space for everyone, and lots of living areas to give varied age groups their own places to hang out and congregate. Lake views from the deck and yard were beautiful and relaxing. Kids enjoyed swimming the sandy lake and floating in rafts tied to the dock. The adults enjoyed the quiet evenings with a bonfire right at the waters edge. Owner was very responsive and eager to answer questions and make sure we had a nice stay. The property is pretty dated and could use some updates, but the photos in the listing are realistic and what you see is what you get! Plenty of beds for everyone, and the two upstairs bedrooms easily accommodated full size air mattresses for the kids to crash on.
They don’t specify in the listing that there is a strictly enforced quiet time from 11pm to 8am. Also the septic will start to wet the grass in the back yard. Overall an amazing place!
It was a large group so the home was perfect for this setting. Lovely property with a dock. Could use some updates, but was overall just fine. The owners were very pleasant and helpful!
