We greatly enjoyed the stay at the cabin while visiting Maine. Everything needed for a wonderful stay. Not too far from vacation destinations. If you want to rewind and relax this is the place.
Tucked away in the woods with a lake as your backyard need I say more. Lots of peace and quiet as well as wildlife. Would definitely stay here again. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make the stay enjoyable.
We had a wonderful stay at Innisfree Cabin. The pond is very quiet and peaceful with the soothing nightly sound of the loons. The cabin is very comfortable, homey, and had all the necessary amenities. The kitchen/living room layout is great for family gatherings and we enjoyed listening to music while cooking dinner together. The location is perfect for traveling to Bangor, Ellsworth, and Acadia National Park - never too far away. Overall our stay was relaxing and rejuvenating. We are already missing Maine!
My kids and I arrived at Innisfree and were immediately smitten. It is a quintessential Maine camp that exudes coziness and peacefulness...the type of place I dream of owning myself one day! We are so grateful to have spent time here and hope to return someday.
Beautiful, clean fully equipped house on a lovely lake (a pond only in Maine). One of the nicest we have stayed at, over the decades we have rented a vacation home. Figuring out how we can make it back next year
We loved Ted’s cottage and easily settled in and felt at home for the week. When we had a question Ted responded quickly. The kitchen is well equipped. We loved his book collection and read some. Playing games at the table in the evening was extra enjoyable because of the loon calls. The place is obviously cleaned regularly; the kitchen and bathrooms were excellent.
Beautiful cabin with lot’s of history. Gorgeous sunset to end a relaxing evening. Ted was always there for us. I loved the old memorabilia. Will stay again. Thanks Ted !
Ted has a wonderful spot on Jacob Buck Pond and we were very thankful to find it. Ted went out of his way to make our stay most enjoyable. Supplies were bountiful and it was everything one could expect for a stay in the Maine woods, including a fireplace, fire pit and water craft. Would love to make this a yearly event.
I can't overstate what a wonderful time we had at Ted's cabin on Jacob Buck Pond. The house was beautifully maintained and had a gorgeous view. The pond was clear and perfect for swimming--private, too! Although my teen son and I mainly just stayed at the cabin, playing board games, swimming, and reading--and did not avail ourselves of all the experiences the area has to offer--we easily could have. Ted provides a wealth of recommendations for restaurants, hikes, and local attractions, as well as a host of guidebooks. There are also kayaks and canoes available for use. We definitely hope to go back next summer!
Just returned to AZ from my stay at the Gup Family log cabin/home in Bucksport. Have always wanted to spend at least some time in the North Woods in Autumn, smelling the Balsam Fir Forest, admiring the almost-miraculous Fall colors, and seeing some of the birds that I'm barely acquainted with here. My stay at Innisfree more than fulfilled all my hopes and expectations! Perfectly located, private, surrounded by forest, clean, comfortable and lovely - really the whole package! The Gups were very helpful and solicitous, with great directions and local insights. At my age, I was extremely lucky to have stumbled into such a perfect location to have experienced my Bucket List Holiday in the Maine North Woods!
Beautiful house on a serene pond. It was spotlessly clean, beds were comfy, and the amenities were more than we expected. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. We hated to leave and hope to return. It was convenient to the Penobscot peninsula, Acadia National Park and Schoodic Peninsula, and mid-coast Maine. Belfast and the Farmer’s Market were a great way to spend a Saturday. We have stayed closer to Acadia in other years and are glad we headed a little south this time. Ted, home owner, was a delight to communicate with. We had zero issues and check-in was seamless and easy. Overall, we cannot say enough good about this property. Thank you, Ted and family!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful, well-stocked home. We've been up to Maine several times and this was our favorite time yet, mostly because we so enjoyed our time here. Ted was a fantastic host, very communicative and kind. We will always remember our time here and would love to stay again one day!
Very comfortable log home with all the amenities. Excellent location on a quiet pond, but reasonably close to restaurants and local attractions. Everything is provided for an enjoyable stay. Highly recommend.
Thank you to Ted Gup for allowing us to rent his beautiful home. Peaceful serene setting with everything we needed for a wonderful week. Ted was the most personable host I’ve ever come across. Gave us great information about the area, history and must do ‘s. After speaking with him, reading one of his books, and staying in his home I feel like he is a family friend. Thank you Ted:)
This attractive log home was well-stocked and comfortably furnished, with sun-dappled views of the peaceful, small lake from the huge windows and an adjacent deck visited by hummingbirds. We loved the easy access from the dock for great swimming in the spring-fed lake and use of the resident kayaks. Eagles...loons...a fresh seafood market five minutes away...maps & guidance for sightseeing excursions. What's not to love?!!! Ted was a generous host, helpful and a good communicator.
Really nice log cabin, well-stocked, furnished nicely, great fireplace and just steps from the lake. Felt very private. Surrounded by beautiful trees. Convenient to towns, Bangor International Airport, parks, the coast and as far north or south as you want to drive. Ted is wonderful, a very gracious & helpful host.
The cabin was lovely and well equipped. A great location for exploring a variety of day trip sites. Not the best locally for shopping or restaurants. Road into cabin would be tough if the weather was rainy - fortunately we didn’t have rain at all during our two weeks there. Very comfortable furnishings. Would suggest leaving instructions for working the tv remotes for those of us who are technically challenged. Other than those slight negatives, we loved our stay.
