Great for family

We stayed here with our 3 little kids and it was a great experience. The home was clean and had everything we needed to vacation with little kids. It was a short walking distance from the beach so easy access when the kids needed a nap or a break from the sun. There were ample kitchen appliances for our needs. The home was also very clean and well kept!

Xmas at the beach

My parents, husband, daughter and I stayed here over Xmas week. The house was clean and well stocked. The furniture had all been updated since the pictures were taken, and it was better than expected. There was still significant damage in the area from the recent hurricane, but this house was in excellent condition.

Perfect little beach getaway! The house was perfect for our group and presented exactly as pictured. Super clean and very well stocked. Jenny, the homeowner, was awesome and checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed over our 11 day stay. we will Definitely be coming back.

We enjoyed our week on Manasota Key.. although we had a few problems that could have been easily remedied to make for a flawless vacation.1) I booked this property on Wed April 9th for the week of April 20th through the 26th. I used PayPal to pay for the property. On Sat April 12th l noticed that there was nothing posted about my rental. I looked on the site and saw that it had not been booked and was still available! I booked it again that morning through PayPal. That afternoon l received a notice from PayPal that the funds were available and ready to be processed by Vrbo. I called Vrbo and spent a lengthy time on the phone, trying to figure out why the funds were not being removed. I emailed them the confirmation email that l had received from PayPal, and they proceeded to tell me that it was an issue with PayPal, despite receiving an email that confirmed available funds from PayPal. They told me to contact the host of the property, and said they would investigate and get back to me within 24 hours. I emailed the host and received no response; l did not hear back from Vrbo either. At this point l was afraid l was going to lose out on the property, so l used another credit card as payment.. apparently PayPal does NOT work for this site, so should be removed as an option.. it would have saved a lot of stress booking!2) While having a BBQ with family we had someone come in spraying the backyard while eating. We asked them to leave. Yuck!3) too much air freshener

Regarding the booking process, we completely understand your frustration. Unfortunately, as hosts, we don’t control the payment methods offered through the VRBO platform or how transactions are processed. We agree that the option to use PayPal should be clarified or removed by VRBO if it continues to cause issues. We also reviewed our message history and did not receive any communication from you through the platform. One thing we pride ourselves on is our quick and efficient communication with guests, and we would have been happy to help resolve any concerns if we had been contacted. During your stay, we reached out to check in and ensure everything was going smoothly, but we weren’t informed of any issues. Had we known about the backyard incident or any other concern, we would have addressed it immediately. For clarity, no exterior spraying or landscaping services were scheduled during your stay, so if someone entered the property unannounced, we would have taken immediate steps to investigate had we been notified. As for the air freshener, we do use a light essential oil-based reed diffuser in the bathrooms, as many guests have requested this due to the shared living space and limited number of bathrooms. That said, we’ll follow up with our team to ensure it remains subtle and not overpowering. We genuinely appreciate your feedback—it helps us continue to improve. We wish you and your family well. Great vacation!

My son and his family came down to visit & we spent a week at the beach. The house description was very accurate, the open floor plan is open, which is great for a larger group. It was nice that there were chairs & toys already there, we didn’t have to bring everything. The beach is a short walk from the house & we had great weather. The kids loved all the great seashells that they were able to find.

Dominic and Jenny have a beautiful, clean and well organized home. Communication was easy and efficient. We loved the superb location on a peaceful private beach. Their home included everything we needed whether we were enjoy the day at the beach or the comfortable house. The ping pong table was a great bonus for the kids! We would definitely book again.

Birthday family celebration

We always rent a large beach house for my husband's birthday. This house has been the best so far regarding lay out of the home and the amenities! Even though we live in town, it was still nice to have almost all that you would need at your fingertips!! The house is located just 3 houses from the beach and it is a beautiful short walk. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside seating in the sunroom and the family LOVED the comfy couch!! We will be back!

Everything was as described. There was a hiccup that just decided to happen during our stay and they bent over backwards to get it resolved. The kids with us had a great time in the waters. They got to see their first sea turtle laying eggs on the beach. Would definitely stay again next time I'm planning on being down that way.

Our Stay at Manasota Key

We enjoyed the stay. The house is very spacious and included many fun board games. The beach right by the house was beautiful. The garage had plentiful amounts of activities, floaties and beach equipment, it even have an extra refrigerator. The bathrooms were great; equipped with small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, more than enough towels and even mini face towels. The patio looked so pretty. The little shower area was very useful after a long day at the beach. Overall a 10/10 experience.

Beach and Beach House Paradise

We (all 7 of us) loved this beach house. Not only was it beautifully decorated inside and out, it was very clean. The spacious kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and utensils. The owners thought of everything. We enjoyed the beach umbrella, chairs, beach toys, fishing rods, coolers, and too many other extras to mention. The owners made sure we were taken care of. The house was very spacious. We would HIGHLY recommend thIs beautiful house.
