Nice stay out of the city

It’s not in the city but it’s very close. No AC in the place so the bunk bed room was stuffy but the other rooms had AC units in the windows. Beds are eh but there is plenty of space for multiple people

BEWARE

Property not as listed/represented. Definitely could have been cleaner. Owner accused me of smoking in property and "burning" comforter with a cigarette. I do not smoke. Tried to get me to pay her outside of VRBO. Then kept raising the cost of said damage. I've stayed in over 100 rentals on various sites and never encountered this type of situation. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to stay.

Renter can with 3 other people she was not smoking but the guy with her was the smoker. I saw him on my home camera. He was smoking in the back yard. Which I did not have a problem with. Yes, I did confront her, and she got mad. Anyone but her will express my place is like new and very clean. Its just like the pictures. She was upset because I did address the issue with her. She was my first renter since Covid all my bedding was and is new. Yes, someone in her party burned a hole in the comforter. I never stated it was her. She is trying to give my property a bad name but what God has for me is for me. And anyone who stay at Scott's Inn will have a great stay. Experience it for yourself. Look at the person before her and what here experience was. Some people always want to give you a bad name when they created the problem.

Home way smaller than described

The property is what it looks like on the pictures on the outside, but really really small in the inside. First off the house was renovated but the floors are uneven. I’m a disabled person and almost fell a few times tripping on the floor. The hallway is so small. If you’re a plus size person you will NOT be able to get down the hallway. My assistive walking device (rollator) could NOT make it down the hallway. Getting into the bathroom is also tricky. Again, if you are a plus size person you won’t be able to get into the bathroom to use the toilet. There is an uneven floor going into the bathroom so be careful. The toilet is behind the door. You have to close the door to get to the toilet. I think the owners live next door. My friends and I talked amongst ourselves about how disappointed we were in the place and the next day the owner came and addressed the issues we discussed. Weird. They were very nice people however nice doesn’t make up for the fact the pictures make the property look bigger than it was. * I want to mention I did contact the owner immediately after we checked in to tell her about the hallway and that I’m disabled. She did not respond to my email but she verbally came over to the place to apologize. She did not offer any concessions for my inconvenience on her part. I do not legally have to disclose I’m disabled but they legally have to disclose the property is NOT ada compliant.* VRBO needs to fix this

Ms. Tara, the house is just what you see on the pictures. It's a double house and if you have been to New Orleans before you know our traditional houses. I have been renting for over 15 years and the only people that complaints are the ones who are not being honest. Yes, I live on the property and you want know it. Because, I am gone most of the time and when I'm here you want know I'm home. I treat my clients as if its there home for however long they rent the place. You may see me, but when you do I'm coming and going just like the clients. I don't brother anyone, I do ask how everything is going because I want clients to have a great time at my rental. The house is newly renovated and very clean and the floors are made just the way they were designed. As for Ms. Tara being DISABLE I saw no proof of that and I had no reason to not believe her because my husband is disable and if you see him you would not know he's disable. Ms. Tara did have a black boot on her foot but at no time did I see a cane, walker are any other items to show she was in need of the device she stated she could not get into the house. She was in and out a lot and didn't seem to be in pain. However, she stated she had a device the could not be brought into the house. Now mind you, three people drove to New Orleans in a Honda Accord if your device was able to fit in the car I know it could fit in the house. It's not a tiny house its a regular New Orleans style house. Ms. Tara had to fold the device to put it in the car. It was three ladies in the car and you didn't have a SUV. As for the hallway its a little small, and you are plus size and you did get down the hallway. However, I have had plus size client larger than you rent my place and they had no problem or complaints. Yes the toilet is behind the door which I though it 's supposes to be their. And if the bathroom was tricky getting into it something other than being disable is wrong because my 5 year old know how to get into the bathroom with no problem. The reason I did not reply to your email, because I was out of town and was on my way home and could not reply. However, as soon as I returned home I made it a point to come and speak to you to insure that everything was good. And the only issue was the hallway. You could have fold the device and roll it down the hall. Not sure why you didn't, because I know you fold it to get it into the car. As for any concessions offers as you say, you stated it would be two of you renting but it was three of you and because you were not up front in the beginning your third person was you concessions for any inconvenience. And that's why you stated I live on the property. I feel only people who are not truthful has a problem with land lords living on the property. So you can deceive owner about how many people you have in your party. Yes you should state you have some kind of disability, how am I suppose to know. And my property state what I offer and it does not state ADA compliant. I'm sorry for any inconvenient and tried to make your stay as comfortable as I could. I own you nothing and did not deceive you in anyway. My place is exactly what you see online not just the front but also the insides. My decor may be different but the house is as is nothing looks bigger when you come to my place its as is on the pictures. Thank you for choosing my property, sorry for your misunderstanding.

I'm clean, hardworking, love to travel and I enjoy people. I'm from New Orleans, I have been in business for over 15 years. I make my pictures look just like what you see when you get to the house. I make sure my guess has what they need to have a great experience at Scott's Inn. If you want a quiet hideaway area this is the place for you.

Why they chose this property

This is my childhood house. I recommend this house because it's in an area of Malls, food stores and 10 minutes away from downtown New Orleans.
