Sirena is one of Currarong original Fisherman’s cottages. Renovated into two bedroom beach cottage, one with a queen bed and other with double bed, reverse air-conditioning, a gourmet kitchen, BBQ, DVD player, fridge, microwave, sun drenched deck, and all only a short walk from Currarong’s stunning beaches, rock pool and dog beach. One of Australia’s best kept secrets.

**PLEASE NOTE: This property does NOT offer WIFI or supply TOWELS. If you wish to bring your dog along the fence is roughly1 meter in height & may be possible for some dogs to jump

Currarong is located 2.5hrs from Sydney, 3hrs from Canberra. This quiet fishing village sits 30kms east of Nowra on the northern headland of Jervis Bay.
Nautica is a short walk to Zacs General store, bottleshop and Zacs famous seafood cafe.
Tennis courts next door with children’s playground alongside.

Things to do
Despite looking like a sleepy fishing village, Currarong provides a wealth of activities (and the opportunity do none).
* Travel the 5km out to the lighthouse through the National Park for incredible views and whale watching.
* Honeymoon Bay is on the same road and is a must see
* Fishing, Fishing and more fishing
* Dinner/Lunch at Zacs (local fish caught daily) bookings recommended.
* Walk North along the beach as far as you can see.
* Bushwalks varying from a 15min meander to a 2hr challenge.
* Sit on the deck with your phone off, a good book and a bottle of your desire

nice beach shack, enjoyed our stay

we stayed in Currarong for 4 nights it was a nice stay, very much a beach shack kind of stay good proximity to the beach and walking trails nearby also good, easy walk to the bowls club. we had a couple of dinner meals there and it was good the house is comfortable, 2 separate living areas, which was interesting. not overly large but comfortable for the 2 of us kitchen is well appointed with good facilities an older property is clearly a little dated with some older style fittings cleanliness was ok, noting that with some of the older decor it is difficult to keep spotless we tried opening a window only to discover that the hinges were broken, so we quickly returned it to the shut position price is a match for the quality overall we enjoyed our stay

Cute little Cottage

The cottage was as described with all the bits and pieces you need for a break. the cottage is only small but enough, 2 sitting areas and TV. Telephone reception was pretty poor in the cottage but fine once you got out walking around. Very convenient to the dog friendly walks, Zacs Takeaway was around the corner, beach etc. Probably our only complaint was, as someone has mentioned before, the house is on piers but there is no lattice or anything to stop the dog from going under the house and verandah. This won't be a problem for those dogs that can ignore bandicoots, but ours was constantly chasing them under the house. No drama but something to be aware of. Also no screen door on the front door, which again is not a problem this time of the year but imaging mossies would be a problem in summer. Yard is very dog friendly and secure. All in all a great stay.
