Perfect little condo for my small family of 4! Was great location, had private beach access. The condo itself was so nice and the bed was very comfortable! Would definitely book here again!

Great location, quick access to Whole Foods, nearby village, nice private beach access. Ambient car noise from main drag, but not really a problem for us.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the great location, quick access to Whole Foods and the village, and the private beach access. We appreciate your understanding regarding the ambient car noise from the street, many of our guests feel the trade-off is worthwhile to be so close to all the action in South Lake Tahoe. We’d love to welcome you back for your next Tahoe getaway!
Nice place. Looks newly renovated. Difficult tv / WiFi experience. Very loud traffic noise when patio doors are open

Thank you so much for your feedback of the home in beautiful South Lake Tahoe! We are thrilled the home was a nice place for you! We are so sorry to hear you had difficulty with the wifi and tvs. For future guests to note, we are available 7 days a week from 9am-6pm PST and are happy to help right away should any issues arise during your stay. We have inspected the wifi and tvs to ensure they are working properly for future guests. Many of our guests find the potential ambient road noise a fair tradeoff for the prime location/walkability of the unit to the lake, restaurants, and grocery stores. We hope we can host you again soon!
This condo had everything we needed for a weekend away hitting the slopes at Heavenly. The bed was comfortable and the amenities were great. We enjoyed walking the grounds, visiting the lake, and winding down in the hot tub.
Clean place, basic amenities. Older building and faces the main road so you can hear road noise at all hours of the day but otherwise perfectly fine stay.. Good location.

Chikako, thank you for your review. We are so glad to hear you loved the top notch cleanliness and prime location of our home. Thank you for your feedback about the street noise. The balcony at this unit does face the street and also shares walls with other guests, so this is great information for future guests to note. There is a thick sliding glass door to the balcony that helps block most noise. Also, Lakeland Village was built in 1973, almost 50 years ago. It is a fabulously unique property, as it is right on the lake, with a beautiful beach, pier, boat buoys, 2 swimming pools, hot tub, firepits, and walking to groceries and dining. For future guests to note, the pictures of the unit and property are recent and accurate. Thank you again for your review and we hope you enjoyed your time in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.
The apartment was just as described with some nice touches. Very comfortable and well located. The apartment was well stocked with all the necessities like towels, paper, products, and even some coffee and tea. Excellent communications and responsiveness throughout.
Beautiful home with stunning views of the Lake.
Kitchen well stocked with spices & some condiment items. Lots of dishes, pots & pans availabile.
Beds super comfy.
Host very friendly easy to contact.
Will definitely book again.

Reviewer Comments:
This was a great choice, a place with a separate bedroom and living area. It was a bit warm with the gas stoves pilot being lit. Pictures show it very well, it is a cozier in person. Loved having private beach access and being walking distance to a lot. Was bummed out the doc was under construction, we wanted to be married there. Instead found a quiet roof top terrace with a beautiful view. Hot tub and pool was nice. We were very thankful to find a nice place to stay and beautiful beach where we had a small wedding ceremony and get away. Weather was perfect!

Susan, thank you for your review. We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at our home. We appreciate your feedback as well. We have shared your review with the owners for their consideration on making updates. For future guests to note, the photos of the home are accurate and updated. Thank you for staying with us Susan and we hope you enjoyed your time in beautiful South Lake Tahoe!
This is a nice 1 BR place in the heart of South Tahoe. Although this unit doesn't have a lake view, the complex has a great private beach, lakeside pool and hot tub. This unit has some nice upgrades and includes an AC unit which was nice to use after a long day of hiking. We also like the full kitchen. It saves some of the cost of meals out by making breakfast and lunch.
Overall a great place for the price.
Super nice unit but not really on the beach, or in view of the beach or lake, despite the name.

David, thank you for your review. We’re so glad to hear you loved our beautifully updated unit for your vacation. For future guests to note, this home is located in the Lakeland Village resort which is on the water. The condo itself is about 100 yards to the beach. The unit is not beachfront, so this is good information for future guests to note. Thank you again for staying with us David and we hope you enjoyed your time in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.
The communication was phenomenal! The condo is very clean. As mentioned in other reviews the Hiway is close so you do hear traffic, however we loved being able to walk down to the lake, restaurants, and Stateline. The only complaint is the living room furniture needs to be replaced as the couch and chairs are worn out and uncomfortable. But the bed is comfortable so we slept well. We really enjoyed our stay!
Apartment nice and well equipped. It was nice to prepare some meals. Laundry services close. It was right on route 50 and we heard a lot of road noise. The resort property itself is a bit worn and in need of an upgrade.

Linda, thank you for your review and we’re glad to hear you enjoyed the updated kitchen and laundry amenities provided at our home. For future guests to note, there have been renovations made to the lodge portion of Lakeland Village this summer - so that will be updated for future guests. Also, Lakeland Village was built in 1973, almost 50 years ago. It is a fabulously unique property, as it is right on the lake, with a beautiful beach, pier, boat buoys, 2 swimming pools, hot tub, firepits, and walking to groceries and dining. There are no other properties like this in South Lake Tahoe, and there will never be another, due to building restrictions around the lake. Lakeland Village is located off of highway 50, which makes it convenient and able to be right on the beach. Thank you for staying with us Linda and we hope you enjoyed your time in beautiful South Lake Tahoe!

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Terrible. Horrible smell in hallway when we first got there (smelled like rotting garbage). Got super hot in bedroom. No windows - just balcony door to open at night. However, faced the busiest road in Tahoe and was super noisy. Bed horribly uncomfortable. We did not sleep at all - even paid for a hotel for 2 nights to get sleep. Super cheesy- living room furniture really uncomfortable as well. Worse place I ever stayed in.

Thank you for your feedback on Lakeland Village #206. We’re sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. We did receive your call regarding a hallway odor, and our team immediately attempted to return the call, though we were only able to leave a voicemail. We would have loved the opportunity to address any concerns in real time during your stay. For future guests, our Guest Relations team is available by phone, text, email, and VRBO messaging 7 days a week from 9am–6pm, with after-hours support available 24/7 for urgent matters. Mattresses can be a very personal preference, what feels uncomfortable to one guest may be perfectly comfortable to another. That being said, we have inspected all mattresses to ensure they are in good condition and shared your comments with the homeowner for consideration. This condo is equipped with an in-wall air conditioner, when used in tandem with our portable fan unit, cools the unit quickly. Lakeland Village also provides an ideal location for guests seeking convenient access to South Lake Tahoe’s many attractions. Being located along Highway 50/Lake Tahoe Blvd, guests may notice some ambient road noise, but many find this to be a worthwhile trade-off for the property’s unique lakefront setting, beach, pools, and walkability to dining and shops. All of this is noted in our listing prior to booking, and we always encourage guests to reach out with any questions before reserving to ensure expectations are aligned.
The property is in an ideal location- down the road from Heavenly Village, casinos, grocery stores, boutique shopping and plenty of restaurants. The condo was very clean and cozy for a party of 2, but the bathroom is much smaller than expected. The decor is great, as well as the general instructions to check-in & out. Thank you for the extra attention to details.

Thank you for your review Patrice. We’re so happy to hear you loved this home's prime location, clean and cozy atmosphere, and ease of check in/check out. We apologize for the size of the bathroom, but hopefully the extra attention to detail and décor makes up for it! We hope you enjoyed your time in beautiful South Lake Tahoe Patrice and please come back to stay with us again.
Close to a beach, in the center of South Lake Tahoe, excellent exploratory trip.
The property was a nice hub for our active days, stayed with my wife and two young boys who share the sofa bed. The pools were a highlight, the property had security and parking and was on the lake, good entry level visit to tahoe for us. The property was pleasant and of good value. I’m a very light sleeper and the road noise in the master did not bother me (Other reviews had me nervous). The boys also like walking to the beach. Overall no major hiccups. Property owner is very responsive.
The place is lovely inside, clean and looks just like the pics. Wish we would have realized we were on a main road. We kept all the windows and doors shut to keep out the road noise.
The "Lodge" is sorta sad looking - they are in the middle or doing a remodel. So lots of construction going in (drilling etc.) We would have stayed somewhere else if we had known. But once inside it was really great!

Kim, thank you for your review. We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed our beautiful home and that it was everything you expected it to be. For future guests to note, the balcony at this unit does face the street and also shares walls with other guests, so this is good information for future guests to know. There is a thick sliding glass door to the balcony that also helps block most noise in addition to the fan. We apologize profusely for the disturbing construction work. Unfortunately, vacations can be interrupted by construction in Tahoe, since we have a very short time during the year to complete large projects before the snow season starts again. We are very sorry we did not anticipate the disturbance and inconvenience that this project would create at your unit. Lakeland Village was built in 1973, almost 50 years ago. It is a fabulously unique property, as it is right on the lake, with a beautiful beach, pier, boat buoys, 2 swimming pools, hot tub, firepits, and walking to groceries and dining. After this construction is over, the lodge will be fabulously updated for future guests! Thank you for staying with us Kim and we apologize again for the construction, and hope you enjoyed your time in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.
The condo is good. Good location for slopes and food. The hot tub is hot :) and the jets are strong. Kids enjoyed the heated pool. The toilet paper holder was off when we got there so we texted for help as we wanted to be proactive about anything that was out of place. They sent someone over pretty quickly so A for response time. But he just popped it back on instead of adjusting the clasp so it fell off again next time it was used.We were there over New Year's and felt like all the 1k noise fine warnings were very aggressive and made me way to nervous to be comfortable. Reviewer Comments:
Arrival/departure details were well laid out. Good communication of what to expect and welcoming emails leading up to our stay. Disappointed in the “advertisement” on VRBO website. The photos made the accommodations appear way more spacious than they were. The description should have been more clear on the VRBO units not being on the lake side, but on the busy street side...it was very noisy day and night!

Worst Property Managers Ever - Place is not as advertised
This property looks nothing like the images posted and the property does not have real air conditioning. It is also located 25 feet off of the main road in Tahoe and is definitely not beachfront or lakefront. When I arrived and asked to be switched to a property with air conditioning, RnR vacation rentals ignored my calls until the following afternoon and then told me a partial refund of 40% was "the best and final offer." We left and went to a hotel because we didn't want to stay in what appears to be a former assisted living facility, with bags of soiled linens lining the hallway to our room. When I disputed the charge to my credit card company, RnR had the gaul to falsify information and claims to try and retain the full price of my reservation, which was never fulfilled. Never mind the snarky customer service, watch out for RnR rentals and their unscrupulous business practices. They photoshop all of their images so prepare to be instantly dissappointed upon arrival. There are plenty of lovely rentals in Tahoe that are not managed by this crapshoot of a company. Strongly recommend you stay anywhere else.
