We had a great stay. Both Elizabeth and Tom (owners) were extremely accommodating. We would recommend this cottage and its location to friends and family.
We had a great time and the cottage was lovely. Elizabeth was incredibly accommodating and kind. She was vailable and willing to do whatever we needed to make out stay more comfortable.
Spotless and fully equipped. Tucked into the woods - beautiful fall colours out every window. Warm feel, plenty of room to move around, great deck, would go back again. Enquire about construction in the area before booking.

Had a great 4 days at Cedar Cottage in greater Napanee. Cottage was fantastic, just what we wanted. Rustic but with all the modern conveniences. Close enough to Picton (a short drive and ferry ride away) but still gives the feeling of being tucked away in the middle of the woods. Will definitely be back to experience the area again during a different season.

Lovely, newly renovated, very clean cottage. Hostess is very responsive, friendly , generous and accommodating. Lots of open space for our dog to safely explore
Only downside is that “water access” is a bit of a stretch. The access area is very rocky and seems a bit hazardous- a small dock would be recommended
Overall a very positive stay and would return.
Open concept. Rustic style. The property had all of the things we needed for a great stay. We particularly loved the wraparound porch for outdoor sitting/dinning. A little far away from town to pickup any missing items, but not too far. A quiet getaway.

Thank you so much for your review. Please visit again.
We had such an enjoyable time. The quiet, the surrounding greenery and nearness to Picton made this so rewarding. Apologies about the fee for the dog. We thought that was included in the fee but no problem when notified that we had to pay that directly to the owner and not by Vrbo.
Access to water was a problem for partially disabled adult.
Inside and outside was exceptionally good and availability was easy and immaculate.
I am over 70yrs and thoroughly enjoyed the access to the water and the water for swimming..
My wife however, could not make it to the water.
I thoroughly appreciate the nature and its issues.
Water access ability is not for the unsteady foot. Her condition was unexpected but we enjoyed ourselves.
Thankyou for a great 2 weeks.

A really beautifully located and very comfortable cottage!!
Located at a private road and surrounded by LOTS of trees, birds, squirrels this cottage is just perfect for a couple. We had our doggo with us and he loved taking walks with us, lounging on the deck or just sitting with us in the backyard (which has a fire pit, tree stumps as stools!).
If you like swimming or other lake stuff, the lake access is right across the road by the side of Elizabeth’s house. Both Elizabeth and Tom were very nice, super reaponsive and full of great ideas to explore. The drive via Glenora ferry through Picton town is simply textbook beautiful.
The living room and open kitchen is just so tastefully done. We used the BBQ on both days. The bedrooms are nice although the beds can be uncomfortable for tall folks. I’m 5’8” and I fit in. Anyone taller may have their feet hanging out a little.
Overall for us, it was 5 star and we are definitely coming back again.

Thank you so much, please come back and enjoy the magic of BAss Cove
The cottage is newly renovated. It feels like it’s been recently listed for renting as some basic items were lacking:
There were no shower towels
Internet was slow and was cutting a lot
The TV had no channels available and was impossible to Broadcast from phone (lack of good internet connection and cheap tv- old model). We are not big tv fans on vacations, but we really missed watching the olympics!
Wasps nests along the railing and above the main door got us almost studded
Lake access was hard to find and not convenient (in the parking lot and on the land of a neighbor) and very rocky. We used it to launch our SUPs in the water and it was a intense process. Do not expect to go just for swimming or chilling.
Aside from that the place is clean, well furnished and is as expected. Beds were confortable, but we were happy we bought our sheets as it was missing a flat sheet. There is no AC and it was getting hot at night (even with windows open and fans running).
The place is pretty remote. You are 30 minutes from closer village. Ferry to Picton is very useful.
With small improvements, this cottage has good potential.

Stephanie, thank you for writing a review. Can you tell me what was missing in the kitchen? There are no top sheets, the quilt covers are removed, washed and sanatized after each rental. Towels are not included, and I believe I reminded you to bring some. Yes internet is slow, here in the country we do not have fiber or hi speed, one of the joys. The access to the lake is over my property and the shoreline is rocky. Air conditioning is not advertised or included, so yes it's hot, and has been unusually hot.
I hope that all the identified deficiencies did not spoil your visit.
Kind regards,
Elizabeth.

The place was really really perfect ! The only thing it could be better are the bed. They are old and double size, but the sheet was so comfortable!! The kitchen is really big and have everything! The balcony have 2 doors so you can let your dog on it. My children of 2 year old was doing bicycle on it! The backyard is perfect too. The host is very quick to answer and ask us if we need something. How could the place be bettee? With a spa 🙌 the walk around is really nice too. We move away after 5 days and we really miss this place for the rest of her trip. Thank you Elizabeth, we will definitively comme back again!
We came for a quiet family vacation and that’s exactly what we got! Elizabeth was very responsive and helpful and the cottage was spotless and perfect for our needs. The host allowed us to use her dock across the road for swimming and for using our kayaks which was an added bonus. The area was quiet and secluded with a lovely 2.5 km loop walk perfect for riding bikes or walking the dog. The ferry ride into lovely Picton was a great way to break up the small journey into town for shops/restaurants. We also took the ferry to visit Sandbanks beach which was a beautiful day out. . We honestly can not think of anything that could improve this cottage rental. Thanks for having us!
Well maintained cottage perfect for a short getaway to Prince Edward county. Close to the Glenora Ferry, and thereby Picton. Also convenient for a trip to Kingston! (Less than an hour). Not on the water, but otherwise perfect!
A little off the beaten path but once arrived , it proved to be worth it . I don’t remember seeing mention of the ferry when we booked BUT discovering it made the trip even better . 10 minute drive to the Glenora ferry reduced the drive to Waupoos , Sandbanks, Picton etc by 45 minutes to an hour ! We really enjoyed our stay . Elizabeth and Brad were quick to respond to queries.

We returned for a second stay, and once again, we had a wonderful time at Cedar Cottage! The host makes sure that you feel welcome, and is available for any unforeseen issues/needs that might arise. A great escape to the country, perfect if you have a family (and for us, a puppy) that loves the outdoors!
