Excellent

Very clean but too small for more than 4 -6 people even though there are beds for up to 9 people.Very steep driveway. Property manager very responsive.
The property was surrounded by forest. Even though there were other houses close, we felt quite secluded.
It was a very convenient location for us. We enjoyed the hikes and waterfalls.
The house was located in Linville Harbor, and area we were interested in checking out. Booking and check-in all were smooth. Everything in the house was in order. The mattress in the 1st floor bedroom was a bit hard.

Amazing location
The cabin was great. Perfectly located off the beaten path and close enough to be in town both ways within 10 mins. The only item I would mention is there is one towel and washcloth for each person. If you like using more than one towel may want to pack extras.

RESTED
THIS CABIN IS IN A GREAT COMMUNITY AND LOCATION IS REMOTE AND QUIET.
OVERALL IT WAS CLEAN BUT COULD USE A "SPRING" CLEAN AROUND WHOLE PLACE.
WE WOULD DEFINITELY RENT THIS AGAIN!!!!
Property is beautiful. The amenities took a while to find as you must drive to them, but they were nice once located. Small items to consider: bring towels, extra silverware, hand soap, and paper towels. There was one kitchen towel and a sponge for the kitchen. Not enough towels were provided for the number of guests we entered in when booking. Hand soap and paper towels were provided but not enough for 2 nights. We would stay here again.

Pictures are deceiving
We had a great time. The place was good, and although a little smaller than expected, we were able to accomodate all 8 of us. Kitchen was very functional and pretty. The location was great for our ski trip, only 15 minutes away and it helped us save money by being a little farther from Banner Elk. We would have liked more towels, more dishes and silverware, and checking out at 11:00, not 10:00 am. Silly to mention, but we couldnt find a sponge to wash dishes. Some minor inconveniences but very nice overall. It didnt take away the fun had for the weekend.

Lots to change to get to 5 STAR
The property is nice however there are some short comings to the house that need to be addressed.
No cutlery in the house kitchen. This is essential for cooking and was not there. Other utensils are limited as well and this should be addressed.
Dishwasher is MOLDY! so simple to clean it but obviously the managment company is over looking this. We cleaned all by hand.
Dryer VENT NOT ATTACHED - FIRE HAZARD! I reported this but no one took time to come address it.
Both TV's in home were not operational. I brought this to the propert manager but did not get the help needed.
Garbage was strewn around the property and needs to be cleaned up.
The outdoor grill was broken and if used is a major fire hazard. This could be simply fixed but it has not.
The house has potential but these items need to be addressed properly and there are limited to no instructions in the home. Another miss.
I am asking for a refund and await reply.

Hi Ed, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:-I want to assure you that the kitchen is stocked with a full set of cutlery and a variety of utensils. This was confirmed not only before your stay but also with the next guest, who had no issues finding them. I apologize if they were overlooked during your time at the property.-Regarding the dishwasher, I understand your concern about cleanliness. While I hadn't noticed an issue before, I’ve instructed the cleaning team to pay extra attention to it moving forward to ensure it’s always spotless and ready for use.-The issue with the dryer vent is something I take very seriously, as safety is a top priority. I’m addressing this immediately to ensure it’s securely attached and functioning properly.-I also reviewed the communication about the TVs. Support was offered during your stay, and I’m sorry if there was any confusion or if the problem wasn’t fully resolved. I’ll make sure the setup is more straightforward for future guests.-As for the garbage, it’s possible that wildlife, which is common in the area, may have spread some debris. I’ll make sure the property is thoroughly checked and cleaned, and I’ll take steps to prevent this from happening again.-The grill does show some wear, but it is still safe to use. That said, I will double-check its condition and make any necessary repairs or replacements to ensure it’s in good working order.-Finally, there is an instruction sheet provided in the kitchen. I’m sorry if it wasn’t easy to find, and I’ll make sure it’s more clearly visible for future guests. We always work with both guests and homeowners when issues arise and apologize that we were unable to come to the resolution you were hoping for based on the documentation provided. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
