Wooded Lakefront 5B/3B on Lake of the Ozarks at 61mm

Our recently renovated laid back lakefront home sits in a heavily wooded area on quiet Pine Cove at the 61 mile marker of Lake of the Ozarks. Family and friends have enjoyed this relaxing getaway for generations.

The main floor living area is rustic with knotty pine flooring, cedar ceiling beams, floor to ceiling windows on 3 sides, and a rough sawn oak wall that was part of the original fishing cabin built by our grandfather in the 1940s. The home has been lovingly renovated into a charming 3 story 5 bedroom lodge-style cabin. Bordering the living area is a lakefront deck that is perfect for evening socializing with a magnificent sunset view. Inside you can expect total relaxation after a day on the lake; with central AC, ceiling fans, comfy leather couches and a media center (65” flat screen w/ BluRay player) in a casual living area that adjoins the open dining and kitchen areas. Living area has 180-degree view of the woods and lake. Dining area has an heirloom Amish-built table with seating for 8-10, bar seating for 4 more; and adjoins a fully stocked kitchen with solid hickory cabinetry and saltillo tile floor. Behind the kitchen there's a laundry room w/ full size combo washer/dryer.
Main floor bedroom has cedar ceiling beams from the original cabin and sleeps 4 (futon bunkbed w/ lower full-size + upper twin, plus separate twin bunkbed). Main floor bathroom has vintage clawfoot tub/shower and sink.

Upstairs you'll find a master queen bedroom that sleeps 2 adults and has ensuite master bath (both fully renovated May 2023), as well as a second newly renovated queen bedroom; and second full bathroom. Both bedrooms have floor to ceiling lakefront views, with doors to an upper outside deck.

The lower level has two bedrooms - one with a queen bed (sleeps 2), the other w/ a queen bed and XL twin bunk (sleeps 4 total). Both downstairs bedrooms are accessible via circular stairwell inside, and also have sliding glass doors opening to the lower lakefront deck.

Other amenities include a dock, 3 kayaks, and paddle boat. Use of boat and Jetskis are not included, but boat/watercraft rentals are available in the area.
There is Satellite wifi available for cell phone use, email, zoom calls and social media, but will not work for streaming/gaming.

VERY IMPORTANT All trash must be in provided bags & placed in concrete bin on road near steps. $50 fee assessed for ANY loose trash left in bin. Please ensure metal lid remains closed at all times.
Please strip sheets & pillowcases only from all USED beds. Leave linens on beds for cleaning crew. Do NOT remove pillow & mattress protectors or quilts & shams. Leave all thermostats at 78 degrees.
Pls load & start dishwasher; wash a load of towels & start them in dryer. Leave other used DRY towels on bathroom floors & HANG any wet towels. Leave dock clean and store all water toys on racks.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please respect neighboring properties. Guests have use of our cabin and dock only.
ALL trash must be bagged before placement in outside bin. Trash service will not pick up any loose trash.

Great family trip!

We had such a fun family vacation! Location on the lake is great! Our kids loved swimming, playing on a lily pad, and paddle boating every day. You are further from the main attractions of the ozarks but we didn’t mind doing 1 or 2 day trips for other activities.

Quiet secluded getaway

Quiet neighborhood at mile marker 61 of the Ozarks. Dock available for our boat and surrounded by other vacation homes that were mostly empty, resulting in a nice quiet week. Owner was very responsive to questions and assisted with check-in access to the property.

Very accommodating for our family. We all enjoyed it. The owners are good people. They took us out a couple times on the boat and the kid got to go tubing. We had use of the kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat. Very nice place to meet up and enjoy.

Best family vacation so far!

We had a great time staying in the rental. The hosts were fantastic and very accommodating. The house/cabin was great. The master bathroom was beautiful. The views from all the balconies and the living room area were great. The "cove" was peaceful and so much fun for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. We plan to book again in the future.

Beautiful house with Great Lake views!

This was the perfect house to rent for our guests who came in for our lake wedding. The house is beautiful with a dock and located within walking distance of a restaurant/bar. The owners worked with us on dates and our guests were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine and snacks welcoming them to the lake! Everything was perfect and I would highly recommend this house and will rent from them again if we need accommodations for ourlake guests.

Fun & Relaxing Stay

We stayed here with 1 other family and our kids ages 8-14. The house is older but clean. The WiFi & Cellular signal is not great so plan on lots of family time and bring plenty of games. :-) We all enjoyed fishing & swimming/floating off the dock and the use of their kayaks/lily pad. The owners were very friendly and took us out tubing and for a sunset cruise on their pontoon which was fun. The location is pretty far from the popular part of the lake if you enjoy shops, bars and restaurants. Overall we had a really nice stay though.

Fun Stay

We enjoyed staying at this property. The kids ages 5-17 really enjoyed the water. The owner lives close and was so nice. He took the kids out tubing several times which they all enjoyed. The fishing was good. My son caught a 17 lb catfish right off the boat dock. There was an issue with drain flies in the upstairs bathroom, but the owners responded immediately when I notified them. The kitchen was really well stocked. They do have wi-fi even though the description says they don’t. We had a wonderful time.

Great time in an old house

Renting the house was easy and John was accommodating in every way. This lake house is 50 years old and is showing her age a bit but it’s very comfortable and roomy. The only drawback for us was a very narrow spiral staircase leading to the lower level beds; getting luggage down was difficult since holding the railing was an absolute must. Our family of 12 (ages 6 to 73) met there to reconnect and have fun and the house delivered on all fronts. We had a wonderful time! The house is a little off the beaten path so excursions to area attractions involved an hour long car drive. However fishing and swimming off the pier was terrific with no heavy boat traffic at all and the house comes with two paddle boats and a canoe!

Had a great time!

Check in was very smooth and pleasant! The owners were great! The pictures definitely make the property look more up to date then it is. Could have been cleaner but didn’t deter us from staying. The lake is right there and the kayaks, canoe, lily pad and big mattress to lay out on were great fun! Coffee out on the patio in the morning is the most amazing way to start your day. 30 minutes away from Walmart makes it not to bad for groceries. Fatties is next door which is a bar but is never crazy or keeps you awake. It’s actually a nice little bonus to the stay. There was 7 of us and plenty of room. Everything you need in the kitchen so no need to bring anything with you. Nice water pressure in all three bathrooms. All in all a great stay!

Nice place for family fishing trip

This rental was great for what we were looking for. We had six adults and five kids aged 8-14 and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space. We were looking for a quiet rental for low key family fishing weekend and thats exactly what we got. House and grounds were clean. There were adequate towels, dishes and utensils for the group. Very nice lighted boat dock in a quiet cove with little boat traffic. There was a boat ramp just adjacent to the dock which was very convenient. The kids had a ball on the paddleboats. We had good success with boat crappie and small catfish right off the dock. Close to main channel, a large marina with gas and groceries right on the water. We drove into warsaw to get groceries, about 40 minutes to a large Walmart with everything you could possibly need. Owner was easy to reach with any questions/ concerns. The parking is a little tight, which is typical for this area of the lake, and didn't really affect/ bother us. We had two small river boats and our trailers can be moved around by hand and had zero issues. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Secluded and Roomy

Owner was very quick to respond to questions, kind, and easy to work with! We had plenty of room to spread out, with many sleeping options and comfortable beds for two families. Main area is spacious and our group of nine was able to fix and eat meals, watch movies, and play games without crowding each other. We had no problem with being socially distant, especially in March! Very quiet and peaceful, located in a small cove. (Fatties was not open while we were there, so not sure how that affects the ability to be distanced and/or the noise level.) Dock’s power lift was super nice and very convenient for kayaks and paddle boats, which we enjoyed the use of during our stay.

Ozark summer

8 adults, and 6 kids under 8. Had a great time. Jon's dad Larry, a good guy. He and Lynn took some of us on a pontoon ride to show us the lake. Had 3 boats with us. 24' pontoon, 18 ' Kund and a 16' Alumacraft. The dock worked perfect. 1 boat on lift and the other 2 fit together on the side. Parking is slim, but Larry and Kenny (from Fatties next door) made it work. Oh yeah, their is also wifi.

amazing week at the lake

We could not have asked for a better vacation. My family and I (two young daughters aged 3 and 7) had an absolutely fabulous and relaxing week. The home was perfect, originally my in-laws were going to join us, but even if they had joined us there was plenty of room to spare. The cove where the house is situated is very quiet, my daughters loved swimming and kayaking in the cove. My wife and I enjoyed the beautiful patio in the evenings after the girls went to bed. Would highly recommend!!!

Great Family Lake House

The property is right on the water with all of the non-power toys to entertain the kids and adults you could want. The owner's parents live close to the property and are extremely friendly and helpful to visitors unfamiliar with the lake. We had 12 people and there was enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably. We cooked most of our meals in the spacious kitchen, but also enjoyed walking over to Fatties Pine Cove Cabin for dinner a couple of nights. If you're looking for an authentic Lake of Ozarks lake house-this is it!

Great Location on the lake

We had a great family vacation on the lake! Our teenage boys each brought a friend and they had a ton of fun swimming, kayaking, and fishing! The location is awesome as it’s a quiet cove with peaceful waters. Communication with Jon was easy and we appreciated and accepted his offer to go tubing for one evening. The boys all said that was their favorite part of our time! Overall, a great place to stay!

Wonderful location for a Family Reunion

This house was perfect for our needs, with five bedrooms and lots of space to stretch out and relax, we couldn't have asked for any better accommodations. I would definitely go back to this location, the owners were easy to get a hold of, and very helpful. Gotta love the Pecan Pie! Thanks again for opening your house to us and our family for the week!

Kids were able to catch quite a few fish from boat dock,launch ramp was only a few hundred feet from house and there was a bar/restaurant next to launch ramp where we could buy ice.
