Kokomo - Silver Sands - C21 SouthCoast Holidays

In the famous words of the Beach Boys now if you want to go and get away from it all, go down to Kokomo.

This newly renovated beach house is all about fun with family or friends! Located in Silver Sands (one of the best spots the area has to offer) the beach is practically on your doorstep. Its only a minutes drive to the drive on access or a minutes walk via Warramunga Rd. Patrolled by the Aldinga Bay Surf Life Saving Club from Nov through to March, its a great family beach.

For the days not spent at the beach, there are plenty of board games and books to keep you busy. But when the sun is shining, the garden is the place to be! It is fully fenced, and the grass is perfect for a mini cricket/footy match. Pack a bag of marshmallows for when you are sitting around the firepit on a starry night.

Mealtime is easy. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes the all-important pod coffee machine. On a balmy summer night, you can whip together a quick salad and pop a few snags on the great new BBQ outside. After dinner you can clear the dining table for a game of Yahtzee or Go Fish. Then curl up on the sofa with a good book or put a movie on.

~ Bed Bath Rooms ~

There are two queen bedrooms, the main with a TV. The third bedroom has two bunk beds. Each room has clothing storage. Bathroom: Separate Shower, Separate Toilet, Separate Vanity * Please note there are no laundry facilities at the home - but there is a laundromat just a few minutes away located in the Aldinga Shopping Centre which is open from 6am - 9pm every day.

Both the Blue Lagoon Aldinga washpools are within walking distance and the Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park is close by too. Besides the natural playgrounds on your doorstep, the region offers something for everyone. From the world-renowned wineries of McLaren Vale to delectable cuisine at gorgeous seaside restaurants. There are also plenty of hidden gems like craft breweries and small batch distilleries.

Sellicks beach house.

Century 21 kept me up to speed with what's happening. The place was perfectly suited to our needs and will be looking for a repeat stay in 2 years time.

Extremely disappointing to say the least

Property was listed as 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom... upon arrival it was 3 bed and barely 1 bathroom as the basin was completely open in a hallway offering no privacy at at. The property was mid renovation, and did not offer the decor that the photos presented as the walls, windows and floor were filthy. The toilet seat was broken, the utensils were old and dirty. No amenities package upon arrival. Half a toilet roll, no shampoo or conditioner, or dishcloths. Propety managers were unhelpful, didn't get the toilet seat fixed or recienve an amenities pack until the the afternoon of the second day. The property manager did not return any of my calls or emails, and only informed me that ghey eould not do anything to reimberse or rectify the issues with my stay until I contacted them again 3 days after our 2 night stay. Terrible customer service and very disapointed with the whole experience.

A nice getaway for my birthday

House was clean and comfortable and location was great. But I was disappointed that the tv wasn’t able to play channels, there were 2 huntsman spiders that kept appearing in the bunk bed room which was a bit uncomfortable also it sounded like crickets were in the walls very loud and hard to ignore and it would be good if all the bedrooms had ceiling fans but we were able to keep cool . The kitchen had everything we needed and beds were comfortable but besides that it was a nice cozy place to stay !!

The location of the property was great and check in and out was very easy. Unfortunately we ended up leaving a night early due to air conditioning and cleanliness. The space was a lot smaller than expected and air conditioning was only in the living area. Throughout the house there were many spiderwebs, leaving quite a few bugs in the rooms making it difficult to feel comfortable sleeping at night. The description did say that there was air-conditioning so we assumed this was throughout the bedrooms but with the hot weather we really struggled to stay cool in those rooms.

A relaxing get away

We stayed here with our blended family of 2 adults and 5 children during the school holidays. It is a nice, comfortable little property, with a beautiful big back yard. The fire pit was a hit and kids had a lot of fun toasting marshmallows. You do need to bring your own firewood, which should be mentioned in advertising as I would assume in mentioning fire pit, that wood, would be provided. The same with coffee pod machine. It is a lovely addition, but there were no pods. We purchased our own and left the rest for next renters. Unfortunately upon arriving we had an issue with the toilet blocking and not flushing, but on contacting the agent, a plumber was sent out immediately. He fixed the issue short term which got us through the night, and the next day a tank was sent to empty the septic. Although it was a disappointing start to the holiday, communication with agent and action was exceptional given it was a public holiday also. Set up of toilet is a little strange and a fan would be good, given there is no ventilation outlet. Location to the beach is great, a one minute walk and you're there. Overall, we had a lovely stay, and despite a few small issues, would recommend and stay again.

Know WiFi in this day and age, kills the review

Was a nice place to stay close to the beach, cold in winter, the house was very cold, only one aircon in the kitchen area wasn’t enough to keep the house warm so it was a very cold stay, also not having WiFi in this day and age is a big turn off. For the price you pay it should be included, also not having a washing machine is a big inconvenience even if there was a laundry at the shopping centre, the price you pay to stay having the extra cost on washing is a turn off if you stay with a bigger family, the trip to the shopping centre on the car on them roads is a killer, all in all a pleasant stay But would have been so much better if warm and wifi, and washing machine,

We are however sorry to see you felt let down by a few things. We are sorry you felt the home was a bit cold. The large split system should be quite efficient in heating this size home, but a quick call or email to let us know and we could have provided some portable heaters/additional blankets etc. We know there is nothing worse than feeling cold! We do also know most guests these days have come to expect WIFI and we understand having no laundry means a trip to the laundromat if you need to do some washing but we do make this very clear in the property description, amenities, and all the emails we send re. confirmation & key collection. So, we are sorry if you missed this and expected these amenities. We do however feel the home is priced accordingly - it's one of the most affordable in the Silver Sands area.
